Terribly overpriced - Beware
Call Cleo for job and was informed she could not give me a quote on phone and there would be a service fee for visit. For a job which I was quoted $450 by another Electician, Ben quoted me $1000 and obviously I could not proceed and had to dish out $49 fallout fee. Beware and always get a quote and do not agree for $49 call our fee. Easy $49 for them. Rip off!!! beware

Water system leaking , steam coming from the top. Google a few places ,no one answered the phone , even when there website says open now. So i rang 24/7 HWS Dux Hot water specialist and Natalie greeted with a cheerful lovely voice , booked an appointment today

Service Today sent 'N' the plumber for a kitchen drain blockage. He quoted me for high pressure jet blasting ($526.33), advising the blockage likely caused by a fatberg.
Using a sewer camera 'N' quickly diagnosed a rusted shut cast iron valve blocking the clay piping and said jet blasting would not work.
Instead, he advised the clay pipes needed replacing/rerouting, involving excavation under-house & across the back garden - quoting $7500 for this.
In addition, if I could agree to the job on-the-spot then today's not inconsequential bill ($5...
Replace 2 down lights and bathroom fan
Service was quick but boy were they expensive, that $49 callout fee was so inviting until you get the final bill, $660 later, never again. Lesson learnt, I will never use these guys again.

On the 27th of June 2020 my parents found they had a leaking faucet attached to their washer. As I was unable to get to them and having used Jim’s Antennas to sort out a problem for them prior, which was carried out in an exemplary fashion I asked them to call Jim’s Plumbing. Unfortunately, and I am not quite sure why or how but Service Today (ALLTRADES CONTRACTING SERVICES PTY LIMITED) were the company that arrived to the work. My parents being elderly were already stressed out and did not question this, they were just happy that someone had...arrived to fix the leak. I believe that the work was carried out without ‘[name removed]’ the plumber providing a quotation or estimate, I have asked for a copy of the signed authority for the work to be carried out but was only supplied an invoice with a digital signature attached which was collected at the completion of the work. The cost was $800 to fix the leak, two sets of taps fitted which I am certain was totally unnecessary. ‘[name removed]’ also was able to identify a ‘faulty’ extraction fan which he would have [name removed] the Service Today electrician take care of (he told my parents another handy $800 would be needed to do this, I am not sure where he plucked this figure from). My parents are in their late 80’s and are trusting and easily manipulated, as are most pensioners of their vintage, so they did as [name removed] and suggested and arranged for ‘[name removed]’ to have a look. ‘[name removed]’ fitted the fan (no signed quotation or authority available, just an invoice with a digital signature collected at the end of the job) and then proceeded to convince them that they were in danger of being electrocuted and that they should replace a couple of trip switches on their power board … another ridiculous $1,188.78 worth of work to remedy the issue. ‘[name removed]’ also applied pressure to do additional unrequired work. My parents live in a Retirement Village and the village has vigorous safety standards, there was never any danger of my parents being electrocuted, knowing that it would scare them into agreeing I believe ‘[name removed]’ used it to get my parents across the line. They were also signed up for the “Total Care Club - Lifetime membership joining fee” which I am certain they no need for, and have no idea what the offer includes. My parents told me of what they had been charged for the work and how little time it took which I found outrageous and decided to pursue the issue. I hold Power of Attorney for my parents and had to request the Tax Invoices be sent to them, they had not been sent and probably would not have had they not been requested . The invoices lacked any detail and I asked for a breakdown of the costs, Service today sent a breakdown consisting of Material Costs and ‘Operational Costs’, the operational costs consisting of “administration, insurance, travel, technology, training, advertising, labour, testing, commissioning and others.” A very convenient way of covering ridiculous commissions I am sure.
Superb, Quick Service
I recently lost electricity to my property and contacted Service Today. The technician, Pat, came out as soon as possible to attend to the issue; which was quite a dangerous one.
Pat was absolutely fabulous in attending to my electrical emergency. He was friendly, approachable, knowledgable and conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. His 'can-do' attitude put me at ease in what I considered was a stressful and scary situation.
I'd like to say thank you to Pat for the work he did and commend him on a job well done.
I now have a new Water Heater
Job no 391310 I phoned this morning with a leaking Water Heater and now have a brand new Rheem Water Heater installed very professionally by my plumber Thank you very much
Done and excellent job in a fast and friendly manner job number 391216 would recommend them for all future work. When finished clean up after and made sure there were no further problems.
Good and bad
Thanks to Dave who came and rectified problem caused by your first plumber. While company were efficient in response, first plumber Justin's tone and dismissive manner left a bad taste. Would not use you again or recommend your service
Recently I had a loss of electrical power so I rang your firm. To my surprise the electricians arrived the same day. It was quickly decided that because of the age of my home, I needed a complete electrical rewiring. They arranged emergency power and started the rewiring a couple of days later. They completed the job yesterday (Friday 10th July) and I am completely satisfied with the serviced and expertise I received, but it was the quality of your electricians which impressed me the most. On each day I met different workmen to the previous day.... They were all young men with the same personalities. They all showed the same professional attitude to their tasks and were extremely courteous and helpful. They all went that much further than they had to. The leader each day kept me fully informed of what they were doing. It was obvious that they had all been well trained by someone who knew exactly what he wanted them to follow and was a very good teacher. Thank you for a job well done by young men of such high calibre

We had Nathan come and fix our blocked drains. Called before he arrived and explained what he was going todo and the cost. He done a fantastic job. Will pass on your number to friends and family thank you .
My husband past. I have a degenerative disease that is robbing my mobility. I am now a single mother to two kids and a child with a disability. I had been charged for them doing the wrong job. My sewer junction was cut and the plumber didn’t get onto the parties I needed clarification for. The neighbour got his plumber to check and an advocate assisted as I have lived through so much.
The council now calls them dodgy plumbers. I had to tell them again and again that I had issues with toilet transfers. I am considered disabled. I have barely ...any income and waited half a day and they didn’t call to say they couldn’t come. I was yelled at by the receptionist and again by another when I said I could have another bad fall. They made me cry and feel useless. God knows what piece of crap they installed. This is medically documented and further backed up by two OT reports. I offered to send it through as the morning care worker was horrified. By coincidence she is a plumbers wife! I do not recommend. I speak with a slight impairment though I am intelligent and respected by many. What creeps to lie to a disabled woman that collects cans and walks to the local bottle exchange for a few extra dollars. I don’t want charity but don’t want to be ripped off. I work for what I need. I have a dodgy toilet and was yelled at. I had to keep reminding the person to be civilised. There were two witnesses to this.
My job today 386300. Arrived on time. Explained the problem with my taps and the cost of replacing them. Was clean, tidy and respectful and did the job in good time. Thank you.
Overpriced, ripped off
$380 for call out fees paid over the phone and another $1500 for 5 mins work for repair a wire on switchboard, which is something my husband could’ve have fitted himself.

Professional and efficient!
Job number 382400 was completed at my place which involved installing an ag pipe, gravel pit and new drainage in my carport. I felt confident after speaking to staff member who quoted the job as he explained everything thoroughly and answered all questions. Staff Who completed the job we’re very efficient and explained what they were doing throughout the job. Very happy with the quality of work also. Would recommend!

Not happy with the service
Asked to assess leak in my bathroom but the plumber made me sign that I need to pay $386 for testing the leak. But the leak from the tap was not assessed instead he told me that the leak is from the shower floor which I knew from before. Had to pay $386 for nothing. My bathroom is still leaking. Not happy with the service.
Just wanted to say thank you to the plumber on #380419 terrific job. Courteous, efficient, friendly and helpful!

Paid $340 for an insurance report, still waiting.......
We called ServiceToday in April to arrange for an electrician to visit and report on some lightning storm damage to some appliances. The electrician came, did a thorough job, carried out testing, noted all of the details. Before he left he insisted that we pay $340 for the call out, and the report, which would be emailed to us the next day. We paid, he left, and we've had nothing from them since then. Two weeks still waiting.........
Quote of $580 for the replacement of a a water mains valve seat. This takes about 5min and a few $$s in parts. Never came to assess the job. Invented story about may need to dig and using liquid nitro. Pipe is above ground and can be shut off! Took care of it myself
