I have a LC40 2D77X Why am I computer is being repaired which usually plugs into the back of the television into the HDMI I would like to plug in my iPhone but the cable is not compatible can you recommend a device
I can’t receive channel 7, but can receive other channels from the same network, it’s likely that the problem is that this Digital TV does not support MPEG4. All Digital TVs will support MPEG2, but not all will handle MPEG4. Does this tv handle MPEG4
Out of 40 channels my SHARP AQUOS LC40LE830X picked up only 12 channels even using my roof antenna. So I used my TOPFIELD's TRF-2400 Set Top Box to bypass Sharp's crappy reception - voila everything works perfectly for all 40 channels. I think you can use any set top box. N.B.: my Topfield set top box is older than the Sharp TV!
Certain Channel buttons on our SHARP LC-32D77X TV's Remote control like Channel 10 will not activate ... cleaned contacts & changed batteries but we are still getting the same result ... any suggestions ... only starting happening about a week ago ... Cheers, Gary
Is LC-42D77X, purchased 16/04/2010, MPEG-4 and HD compatible? regards chris
Hi Chris, we encourage you to contact our Customer Care team either via email at ccare@sharp.net.au, referencing this question for assistance.
Onky because you don't want to admit they won't be able to get lot of new HD channels
Our LC42D77X has been re set but still not receiving HD channels. Please advise. Thank you.
use a separate set top box to bypass SHARP's and you'll be fine. I don't know what Sharp is using to receive???????
Do I need a set top box for lc42d77x as I can't get 7 flux on it
Hi Marg, Thank you for your question. You will require an external device, such as a set top box to tune into the 7 flux and other HD channels. If you have any further enquiries please feel free to contact Sharp Customer Care on 1300 135 022.

how pathetic is this - for all my other TVs (LG, Sony< Samsung) I don't need it. Yes, you need a separate set top box.
Can I get high definition channels, eg ABC 20 .?
Hi Pat, Thank you for contacting us. Channels 2, 7 and 9 have activated new Free To Air digital TV channels. Your Sharp TV should automatically detect these and tune them in. However, if it does not, please take your remote control:
1. Press Menu
2. Go to the Setup menu
3. Go down to the reset option
4. Select it and select YES
5. Your TV will now retune all of the channels.
PLEASE NOTE: If your TV is an older model (if it is not an L or LE model e.g. LC60LE820X) then your TV may not be capable of displaying MPEG 4 Digitally Compressed Channels. An external device such as an MP4 Compatible Digital TV Set Top Box will be necessary to display the new channels.
We hope this information has been useful to you. If you have any further enquiries please feel free to contact Sharp Customer Care on 1300 135 022.

Thanks, v helpful. it's a LC 32D77X model & despite resetting it is not accepting HD. So it must be too old. A pity as it gives a beautiful reception.
needs to be 4 mpeg compatible my lc-46d77x isnt picking up the new braodcast
get a separate, cheap set top box with HD capability to bypass Sharp's and you should be okay.
Hi, our LC-42D77X has also started doing the same as mentioned above by Colin, i.e. turning itself off , or hibernating for a few minutes , then coming back on again. Some help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
