Excellent – Great picture quality, great sound. Although you can connect to the internet I haven't used this feature yet as a friend got me wondering if my TV could catch a virus.. It was easy to set up and I'm not that technically minded at all. It’s not to heavy and we found it easy to move into the house. Very stylish and but shows the dust. I love this TV. We purchased it from Clive Peeters for $2100. We have a fairly bright house however the TV doesn't seem to have much glare. I likethe picture quality and could see the difference in the store. The 40inch is a good size ... not to big not to small. It was important to me that my TV was energy efficient and this TV certainly ticks that box with a 6 star rating. Easy to use. had to buy the HDMI cord which cost $60 extra. I don't think you should have to buy extra when you're spending over $2000. The Bluray player takes a while to warm up and load a disk.
Great tv – This sharp LED 52" tv is has superb picture and great sound, very bright colours. The menu is easy to use and we got a 32" as a bonus during a promotion. Purchased in 2010, both tv's are still going without a problem. It looks great, what more is there? Very happy with our purchase. Great picture and easy to navigate remote
SHARP 40" I love this TV! – This has to be the best TV I have ever had, the sound is tops, the LED is tops, the picture is amazing and the menu is so easy to read. I wish I bought the bigger size. I never imagined the SHARP would be better than the Sony or Samsung or Panasonic! Although assembled elsewhere, the screen was made in Japan which is hard to find these days.
I received a FREE Topfield PVR via redemption....Amazing! Best sound, pic, price and menu out of all brands! 3 year factory warranty, Screen Made in Japan! The plastic moulding is not the best with sink marks
Excellent – Awesome television, probably the best I've ever owned and I was wary of Sharp having had a Microwave that exploded on me. But this television is an excellent product and I am happy to have bought one. The picture quality is fantastic for all types of viewing and uses, as some store assistants like to lean you towards certain types of TV's (Plasma Vs. LCD, etc) for watching sport or movies playing games etc. Does all of them perfectly in my opinion. Excellent picture quality, easy to use remote, stylish look, digital ready and of excellent quality. Heaps of inputs for gaming consoles/dvd players/surround sound/HDMI cables/etc That the inputs can't be named or noted what they are, not really a big problem, as you remember where they are eventually.
You can name each input with a custom name. look towards the back of the manual. but really there's only 4 HDMI inputs so won't be too tricky to remember anyway...
The Sharp TV I have is 'old as dirt'. I bought it in the 80's for my parents. It works in every country, which was very good back then. It can't use Wii, etc., since they didn't exist then, so I'm looking for another TV since I was given a Wii as a gift (lucky me lol). This sharp sounds perfect, but it has 3 model numbers. Which one are you talking about. I want the same exact model as yours. How's it on the electricity bill & about how heavy is it? I will still keep this old one though. Besides, why should I throw out a TV that's almost 30yrs. old, & still works perfectly.

Stay away from the Sharp LC46LE530X. My opinion is firm on this TV. It is a below standard in picture clarity.
