Is this a smart TV? – Is the LC-60LE631X a smart tv? I have been given one with no manual & cannot find a settings mode - can it connect to the internet via wifi or Bluetooth? Everything else works ok
Bad Products and After Sales Customer service – I had bought a Television which was a 4 year old model for $700 ( Not less as per market standards for an old model). I had issues from day one and the TV was fixed under warranty. Post 1 year 6 months i had and lodged a complaint as TV stopped working but received no phone call from customer service as requested and they only answer by e mail.… Read more
They are probably doing this as they have no reason to back up their reply. They sold me a faulty TV from day one which was not fair as they should have replaced the TV not repaired as its brand new.
Its unfair trade practice as the television set i received from day one was faulty and was repaired once it arrived at my place after lodging a complaint. I Had to repair the television the first day itself i received it. So this needs to be fixed at your cost, also this was a 4 year old model sold at $650 which is not less than the market price as sold in stores.
Been weeks but no response from the team, never recommend sharp products ever.
My customer care complaint number is 542706.

I purchased this 60" Sharp Aquos as it appeared to be the best value high quality 60" TV at the time.
The TV skips features such as 3D, Smart functions, and is not "Quattron"
However, 3D gives me a headache, I have an Apple TV for all my "smart tv" needs, and I don't believe I need an extra yellow sub-pixel for good colour.
So what this is then, is a very high quality Japanese made UV2A LCD Panel in a television assembled in Malaysia, devoid of all the usual pointless frills that would otherwise jack the price up. Because it lacks these things, this set is MUCH cheaper than its sister models and its competition, but make no mistake, it is capable of astounding image quality.
The black levels are exceptional, the colour temperature can be set close to D65, and the display can show all gradations of brightness from 0-255 and has very good colour accuracy when fed a Full Range RGB signal over HDMI using the "PC" AV Mode. And very importantly it can display 1:1 pixel mapping when fed a 1920x1080 signal over HDMI when you select "Dot by Dot" Wide Mode. Which makes it useful as an enormous computer display with no overscan, or simply for viewing pixel perfect blu-ray discs.
The only real downside of this display I have found aside from the silly default settings is that the glossy black stand is EXTREMELY scratch prone, just wiping it gently with a micro fibre cloth to dust it will scratch it permanently, initially it is beautiful, but it is a dust magnet and so needs regular cleaning, and it is a real disappointment the finish isn't made of something more durable that can cope with simple dusting, though this kind of finish seems seems to be common for electronics design now. Black Level, Colour Accuracy, 1:1 Pixel Mapping, No Silly Stuff. Glossy black stand scratches WAY too easily! Changes channel slowly. Default picture settings are hideous.
