Placed booking at 9pm for 10pm pick up. At 10pm no driver had taken booking. Support said give it 10minutes more while they called and had a driver allocated. 10.11pm I called support as no one had turned up or been allocated. Was told there were no… Read more
drivers (Adelaide). But at 9pm they took my money…. Now I have $60 held funds. Money should never have been taken when no drivers existed!

Ordered Shebah for my 13yr old daughter to get from swim training to school. Booked the night before only to have her waiting outside, no driver showed up. Trying to be safe but ended up have a young girl unsafe.
Central area of a capital city. 24 hours notice to pick up my child from work and couldn't manage to get a driver at all at peak time on a Saturday night. Unreliable service.

My first experience with Shebah is traumatising. First of all my Shebah driver was over 10 mins late and when my Shebah driver arrived I informed her my 4 month old baby is going to be fussy since she is due for a nap but won’t sleep since the plane was too loud to which my Shebah driver responded that she’ll be fine with the crying and screaming… Read more
since she had 3 kids and 5 grandchildren I felt comfortable knowing that someone will understand! As we drive towards our destination I’ve been feeling nauseous and finding it hard to breathe and notice that there was no air or aircon circulating inside the car but just pure gasoline smell coming from the traffic outside of the car which the air circulation wasn’t changed, I wanted to complain but I chose not to for the sake of my little one as I would like a peaceful drive towards my destination.
30/35 mins into the drive - my little one starts crying hysterically because she was sweating!!! SWEATING!!! So was crying and screaming and also choking from her own saliva, I BEG MY SHEBAH DRIVER to pull over of go to the nearest exit so she can drop us off and I’ll still pay for the full amount since my little one has been crying nonstop for over 10-15 mins she said it’s not worth it pulling over, if my baby is screaming means she’s breathing and I said please pull over now she’s so red and choking badly I’ll pay you extra of for the rest of the trip just please pull over at the nearest exit or wherever it is safe to do so while crying. Not only that she told me how to parent MY OWN CHILD, she also deemed my baby’s hysterical cry for ATTENTION!!! WHO DOES THAT TO A CUSTOMER? As a first time mum and someone who was thanking god to finally find SHEBAH that caters mums I find this experience very traumatising and would never ever put my baby in that position ever again, and would never trust SHEBAH again.
I find that my driver’s action was very rude & self entitled. My baby has been so sad and breathing heavily after we got dropped off. I never let my baby scream hysterically for over a 15 mins, I never felt so terrible as a mother, I never had trauma and anxiety taking Ubers, didi or trying this new ride thing SHEBAH until today. What me and my baby gone through today was so hard to recall as it still makes me very emotional seeing my baby sweating, super red almost purple-blue and most of all sad!!! I felt powerless and useless I failed her today, I failed as a mum but hey at least I paid nearly $180 for a 45 mins drive and a trauma for both me and my baby!
No show with a 1 year infant at airport 1:30am – UPDATE. I was charged a cancellation fee of $20! This is an addition to the $60 already taken! I had ordered a pickup but the driver did not show. The app allows for text and calling of the driver but she did not answer. Money for the ride was already taken 16 hours before pickup for $60 which included a carseat... and only charged me $45. However, I am not rating Shebah based upon this one bad incident caused by their driver. I am rating Shebah upon my experience of using their app to initiate a refund and to rate their driver. The Google Play app has a rating of 2.5 stars.
I have attempted to ask for a refund through the app and I am not confident it will be actioned. The same app I created the booking with I am now initating the refund process. However, the button instead redirects you to an external web browser questionaire page and is no longer linked to your account. The questionaire is a generic "catch-all" form for both grievances and frequently asked questions and it feels contrived.
I was not able to rate the driver who has a 5 star rating. The ride did seem to show in the app that it had not been engaged so maybe this is why I was not able to rate the driver. There is a possibility that the driver has a good excuse for a "no-show" but in my belief I still have the right to give a negative review. A good driver would dilute any spurious negative review which is why rating systems works. However Shebah's rating system seems flawed if a driver is allowed to reneg on an already actioned and paid for contract without consequence.
Shebah, PLEASE delete your app off the mobile App Stores or note what areas you do NOT service anymore! – Dec 2023 Update: Sadly I’ve given up trying to book a ride with Shebah. It shows one or two cars on the app, but you cannot book one, ever - at any time, from regional to Melbourne metro anymore. I’m genuinely shattered about this & the Shebah app should be removed from the App Store and Google Play Store. This is such a crucial service for young… Read more

Original Post from 2022: Tried four times in three days to book a Shebah for my teen daughter to get to a doctor appointment as we have an appointment clash.
Never any drivers available in Geelong VIC. :( Used Shebah several times in 2020 & early 2021 & the 2 drivers we had were amazing. It feels now like the company has been abandoned, especially when you try to get support from the app!
Leads you to dead end messages and no way to speak or chat to a human! I'm so sad that Shebah doesn’t seem to exist anymore, as this really is an essential service!

important moment in any young person’s life. And what did Shebah deliver? Absolutely nothing. The driver never turned up. No phone call. No text. No notification. No explanation. Just a complete no-show.
My daughter was left standing, distressed, anxious, and ultimately late on her first day. Your service humiliated her and made her look irresponsible in front of her new employer. To make things worse, I had no way of contacting your office with no support line, no emergency number, nothing. I was forced to order another Uber at the last minute just to salvage the situation.
This is not just poor service — it is deeply unprofessional and unacceptable. If you cannot be relied upon to show up when it matters most, you should not be in business.

The drivers I have used this week have been wonderful. Always on time and courteous. I have used Shebah Bendigo multiple times. I had a lovely lady take me to Brisbane Airport this morning. Her name is Jivanjot and I would highly recommend her. That said the new app is atrocious as it was far more user friendly previously and Shebah has removed… Read more
the preferred driver option. Also they seem to have jacked up their fees. I was charged some sort of additional fee on top of the fare on both occasions this week.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Job was booked took the money, couldn't find a driver even though I had pre-booked a specific time. I tried to call, only to find the number had been disconnected. Avoid at all cost, this has a scam vibe if ever there was one
Their New App launched on the 30th July 2025 being the trojan horse for smuggled insane at least+33% price increase for which they have the audacity to label as "slight increase". Shebah recently had a brilliant idea. Lets do a new app and people will not notice of what we call a "slight price" increase that in my case went beyond +33% from… Read more
paying $60 per trip to $82 per trip. I would have committed to 2 trips per week but not with these prices that they wouldn't even acknowledge as not being what they claim to be a "slight increase". They now call the former pricing an "error", isn't that that convenient. Even a week after the new app, when I book the trip it gives me a range for $61-$63 prediction and the driver doing an amazing quick time with delivery it ends up being a $82 charge. Formerly before this shiny new app was introduced the same trip that was booked and was predicted being $60 and ended up being $60, now they say that was an error. Sounds like 101 gaslighting to me and not something you want to hear from a company that brags about safety and transparency. They had an established, finetuned former app that predicted the prices very close to what they ended up to be paid. They used that for years, probably constantly improved it, debugged it, and now they say all that was an "error".
I seriously don't know what they want to do with an already unpopular rideshare app by making it heaps more expensive. By the way for the same trip Uber quotes $53 but they say they are not comparing themselves to the largest rideshare app in the world. Bottom line is they are twisting the narrative that every common sense and factual data would dictate and they just like a good old narcisist when they get caught they would label your argument that it was an "error". Last time I checked gaslighting paying customers is not a quality trait to run a business.
I'm sure ACCC will have something to say about how even now their booking prediction misleads users which I attached below.
So there was an app not too popular among drivers and now they are making sure it to be overpriced and misleading to make it less popular for endusers too. It's a really a shame to see bad management ruin something that could have been a great concept. This whole new app idea to make more money disguised as ridicolous price increase that users wouldn't notice in a cost of living crisis is a sad joke. Shame to see such downfall. Now they are trying to make up for the development costs of the new app by higher pricing but what they don't realize is that they will be loosing quantity on orders.
charges for the recent same trips: Prediction still sits between: $61-63 for future bookings as per screenshot shown below: ======================================================== Date Duration Charge App Comment Jul 28. 33 mins $60.77 former app Charge as per prediction $60 Jul 30 39 mins $80.16 new app +33% over $60 (after dispute I received $7.21 credit) Aug 4 37 mins $78.31 new app +30% over $60 (2 min faster paid more) Aug 6 34 mins $82.69 new app +36% over $60 (faster, pay more, dispute dismissed)
It seems to me they can predict whatever they want end then charge whatever they want. Do I pay extra for faster or slower delivery? Someone please tell me how they are transparent?
Shebah has been an absolute game changer for me. I had a bad experience when I was younger and haven't felt safe in taxis or ubers since. Now that I've found Shebah, I can travel without fear and anxiety again. I've found the prices similar to uber and cheaper than taxis. All the drivers have been lovely. They are still building up their drivers,… Read more
so the availability isn't as good as uber - but the safety factor more than makes up for this. As long as you plan in advance, it's not an issue.
I am just so grateful to be able to feel safe.
We pre-booked a ride for the next day's afternoon, and it was cancelled an hour before. Driver cancelled late at night for an early morning airport transfer that we pre-booked weeks ago.I’m – First time user of this app who has a very convincing advocacy and promises of “women helping women”. Driver messaged us late at night saying she cant make it for the early morning transport the next day. Leaving us scrambling to find an alternative late at night. No helpline/support node for assistance either. Very disappointed and will make sure we tell everyone we know not to bother with this app.
Aggressive female driver - NARCISSIST – I am just emailing to complain about Theresa. This woman gave me her business card when I got in the car and introduced her self and offered me a lollie. She picked me up from Bondi Junction and was heading to bankstown. On the way I told her to stay in a specific lane to head towards Bankstown as it was easier. She took the wrong route and I… Read more
asked her where she was going and she said she followed the maps which was the wrong direction.
She is VERY AGGRRSSIVE. She asked me to give her back her business card which I did. She said she been doing this for so long . I said well you should know the suburb routes then and should of got on the m5 not m4 and west connex.
She started to get very angry along the way and said she was going to report me.. she was verbally abusive and got in attack behaviour very quickly.
I asked to drop me off and I walked to my house.
This is the last thing I need after coming out of a domestic violence and motor vehical accident situation.
She should be fired.
I DID NOT FEEL safe at all with her.
Best to book well in advance for this new service – I have been a regular user since it's inception 8 years ago, but it is still growing, it is not a taxi service or Uber and there are not 100's or 1000's of drivers available, it is a bespoke service for women and children. They need more drivers. I have found the best use of it is booked well in advnce, not on the same day or even immediately.… Read more
Imagine it is like a car or limo service ( except it is a lot cheaper) The negative reviews on this site are very disappointing, the reviewers obviously do not unerstand the service. I have never had an issue with Shebah, but then I use it correctly. I encourgae all women to use this service AND become drivers, if they can.
Rip off – Wow what a rip off! And also got double charged $91. The app glitches and only has 2 car seats when I needed 3, one driver flat out refused to take me to the train station with my 4 younger kids. ok. She then proceeded to charge me a cancellation fee. And I didn't cancel, she refuses to take me. I got charged $42.. when the fare fee was $16. Total ripp off. In total shebah has deducted $240 out of my bank account. Absolute scam do. Do not use shebah
Service unavailable and got charged. Hard to contact customer service – I was very happy to learn there was an app for women, mothers and children that offers baby or toddler car seats because none of the ride share apps currently offer them and I am a mum of a toddler who sometimes may need the convenience of booking a car trip with my toddler. The first time we used the app we were going home from the city… Read more
bringing all our bags and toddler and pram so we planned ahead, downloaded the app and tried to book a trip from Surry hills NSW to Revesby and several times we got an error message saying try again later there is no available rides now. So we ended up having t pay double for a 132taxi with a car seat that came with no car seat and I felt it was such a risk.
The second time I attempted to use Sheba was on Sunday Feb 18 around Lunch time from Revesby to Dulwich hill l. This time I purchased a gift card from the Shebah website and loaded it onto the payments of their app. I do this so I can better manage my funds and avoid pending payments that settle a couple of days afterwards. Also so I can see if it works to book a ride in case they might have issues charging my card. I tried to book several times the same error happened as the first time. Try again later.
Ended up traveling with my toddler on public transport in sweltering heat for over an hour due to trackworks. I attempted again on our way back home and no luck again. This really disappointed me because I had hopes for this app and company who have the opportunity to corner a market that is untapped and In need of service.
The only available contact is an email address from their website. I had to look up the company registered name and contact to find a Victoria Landline.
I tried to contact the company via email and phone (left a message) asking for a refund of the $100 I spent for a service I was never able to use and have not received any response back yet.
I have now contacted my bank to dispute the payment I am hoping to resolve this and for better service in future.
Bad driver – I had a Shebah driver pull out in front of me to the point I had to slam on my brakes to avoid an accident. They then appeared to be playing a game by driving well under the speed limit & speeding up a little, only to slow down again. The cars I had been driving behind before she cut me off were no where in sight. Pretty dangerous driver. Have it on dashcam footage too.
Non existent service – We’ve gone to book numerous times for rides with car seats for the kids. The app shows how many cars in that category are in the area and how far away they’d be from pickup point. As soon as we go to book, all of the cars are suddenly unavailable. We’ve tried this several times since 2020, and most recently this month. It’s a non existent service… Read more

Sydney at 10pm with my 6 month old and no way home. Terrible communication and terrible service, head office also had no remorse or resolution, acted like this happens every day.
Terrible service – I tried to book a car yesterday for my wife and daughter yesterday. I tried to book a car for 1 hour. No one would take the booking. My wife had to cancel her plans. Disgraceful it’s supposed to be women drivers for other women and kids. Shame on you women drivers for a safe trip for other women and kids. Very unreliable service!!! Pull your socks up Shebah!!!
Great service from Toni – Fantastic day out with Toni, way above our expectations, entertaining, informative and gave fabulous home made lunch for us to share and slipped in extra sight seeing. Would highly recommend Toni when you are in Alice Springs
Repeatability bad service – Really wanted to support this service as a woman with a baby and in need of transport with car seats. clearly struggling carrying a baby. All bar one have incorrectly fitted car seats for us, they have been so loose and when asked we got attitude that our 1 year old is too old to be in a rear facing car seat with one driver angry that she wasted her time swapping it around when he could just face forwards. We pay $11 each trip for the car seat which adds on to an already expensive trip so expect them to be at least fitted correctly. Drivers are rude to my husband, we have been over charged, had property damaged and had trips cancelled on us at the last minute. The worst of all sadly is the customer service from head office, I have raised issues around my damaged property and been repeatedly ignored or told there is nothing they can do for me. It’s such a shame as this service for women and children is SO needed but sadly the company are more about profit than customers. Won’t use them again.
A gem in the the desert – Toni our Shebah ride share driver in Alice Springs is a gold star operator. Kind, courteous and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Highest recommendation for Toni. If you're going to Alice springs please download the Shebah app best ride share ever.
No drivers – I actually love this idea and have tried several times to book my child in to be dropped at school. No drivers are EVER available. I live in inner north Melbourne?! Why offer a service if you can’t deliver…?
Fantastic service – App was easy to use. Service was quick Felt so safe travelling around Alice Springs. Toni is such a lovely woman. Would not hesitate to recommend using Shebah to get around town.
Service unavailable and unaffordable – For a service in such high demand, it is highly unavailable to me and my newborn.. Where is the business? Also very unaffordable for unemployed single mothers with inappropriate transport for things such as baby needs food post office important medical appointments, $11 additional fee in these hard times is very difficult. The cost of everything is going up makes your $11 fee impossible.
Excellent Service – I arranged Shebah transport for my 88 y.o. mother and her 2 friends. Both Shebah drivers were punctual, polite and drove extremely well in very wet weather. Each driver helped the 3 ladies in and out of the car, helped with seatbelts and walked them to the door. This is a wonderful service!
