I used silver cabs everyday for a week. The service was excellent. My driver Van was professional polite pleasant and I felt safe travelling with him. I know Taxis have a bad rap in general but my experience was excellent.

identification on the car that it was a taxi at all). The driver texted me that he was out the front of my house a bit earlier than expected so I tipped my coffee out and hauled my luggage downstairs and went out through the garage into the rain. I couldn't see him and texted him. Turns out he was at a different address altogether in the neighbouring suburb and I had to wait for him to arrive. How can this happen? How do Uber drivers pick up rides from the Silver Service booking system? Do Silver Service share it with them if it's not a ride they want to do? I booked Silver Service because I expect a higher level of comfort and standard of cleanliness and professionalism. Never again. I will report it to Fair Trading.

 Follow-up  · The car that I expected was a SILVER car with TAXI on the roof. A larger car that is a higher level of comfort and cleanliness. The booking was made through the Silver Service booking site. The fare was $80 HIGHER than the uber fare for the trip back from the airport (same distance).

Worst service ever and they ripped us off for a 10minute ride from Darlington to CBD. Booking was never confirmed and they send someone else to take us after many phone calls. $40.00 when we normally pay no more than $20. Stay away from these people

Absolute rubbish. We needed transport from our CBD hotel to the cruise port and booked online the night before, at about 20:00 for an 11:00 pickup. Confirmation came via email, but with no price. said that was a lot, the guy said it was a bad connection and hung up! 11:00 came and went. At 10 past we rang, they answered and immediately disconnected the call. Rang again, they finally answered after many rings, said our taxi was just a couple of minutes away. At 11:30 a taxi finally rocked up. The driver said that he had just got the job less than 5 minutes before. So, they had lied about our car being pre-booked. Driver was very nice, cost was $45.00. Could have got an Uber for $23.00! We thought an actual taxi firm would be better in this case, lesson learned! Luckily we had planned for possible delays so we arrived at the port on time.

anything from the Taxi company. I called them, and they promise to call me back. At 12:20 I had still not seen any taxi, or heard anything, so I called again. Same answer: they should investigate and call me back. 12:30 (which was the time for the appointment I had in Sydney) and still nothing. I called them again, with same response: they should investigate and call me back. At 12:35 a driver called me and said that he was on his way. He turned up about five minutes later, but being from a different taxi company. This is the last time I have used Silver Taxis, the performance is totally unacceptable. I would put this in the testimonials, but they are obviously only open for positive comments.

 Follow-up  · They did not offer any compensation, as a fact they never contacted me about this. It was not the driver's fault, it was the company's.

Made a booking 3 days earlier for 2.30am Friday as had early departure flight from airport. No show by 235am so called and was told nobody had yet been assigned the job. But no one had told me until i phoned them. What a joke! Went onto uber and it was at my place in 5 mins.

We booked a taxi to take us the Central Railway station the night before. On the morning no taxi arrived to collect us at all. We ended up booking a UBER who came and transported us to the station just in time before our train left. Is there any wonder why Sydney Taxis have a terrible reputation.

Called for a taxi and was quoted a minimum and maximum fare (almost double the usual price). No meter used and automatically charged the maximum fare. Pretty poor form from this company. But hey what else can you expect in NSW.

I booked online saying ready now and received a confirmation advising on tome confirmed. I rang to ask what time is on time? I was told there are no taxis available but when asked why did you confirm i eas told to call another number! As if I called an uber instead.

Booked these guys to take my family and me to my wedding. Never turned up, no warning, no-one answered the phone on the day and I was fobbed off when someone finally picked up the phone two days later. Nearly 200 people had to wait in the church while I organised better options, so they put our whole day behind.

Not even worth a star, they didn't show up and left my son stranded at a TAFE who has just recovered from a broken leg and had to walk to the station. Tried to call them and then they hung up on me after receiving a confirmation of a booking. Don't bother with these guys go direct to a proper cab service!!!

What can I say absolutely disgusting. $82 from airport to CBD. $40 from CBD to airport with a different company. I will never use silver taxis again. The silver taxi driver wasn’t friendly at all. Probably took us visitors the long way.

Watch out this website - silvertaxisydneys.com.au – No show for international airport !!! I made the booking via phone and someone called [Name Removed] confirmed the time and price. On the day, no one called me in advance and no car shows up. I called the 1300 300 075 number twice and left voice msg -no one answers and suppose to be 24/7. Half and hour later when I made alternative arrangement the driver called :)-

bad experience – I took a taxi on today from merrylands to westmead hot day and humidity about 80%, I had to ask the driver 3 times please put the aircon on, he was trying to ignore me. So Silver taxi management if you wonder why uber and did riders don't like to use you, not only because you are a rip off but because your drivers are selfish and don't care.

No show – I booked a taxi to pick us up to take us to the airport at 2.30am. They didn't show up. I called, obviously woke the guy up, he said he would contact the driver. Hung up on me. I tried to call back 3 times to get no answer. Waited 15 minutes then started to worry we'd be late for our international flight. So booked an Uber and made our flight. Don't bother with this company.

Ripped off – Obtained the cost of the fare form their website:$33 Was charged $49 Bought it to their attention .. they are not interested.Not customer focussed When I quoted the $33 fare from their website they altered their website to reflect the higher fare I was charged I intend to take this further.. there is a principle involved … honesty Do not use these people

Do not user them! – Do not use this cab service! Absolutely ripped us for our first experience in sydney this guy charged us $130 from the airport to our hotel( uber back was $48) he said i had to pay for his tolls!! I Hope uber runs them out of business soon!

NO SHOW – Called for a cab at 8:10am told 10 minutes, call back 30 minutes later as still no cab, they call back another 20 later and say 25 minutes it’s now 9:26am still no taxi I called them back and told them to cancel it they’re bloody useless.

VERY EXPENSIVE $45 FOR A 9-10 MIN TRIP – Very costly. $45 for a 9-10min drive to hospital for my parents. A 1.5km drive! The driver had the wrong address then i had to chase them to see where they were. Finally the driver picked up at correct address. VERY disappointed with the cost & have asked them to delete ALL my details in their system. We wont be using them ever again!!! Save your money. Go elsewhere! Show details

I told him I would be reported him and filmed him. He told me to go right ahead.

I have reported it to the bank and I have reported it to the Taxi complaints department and I have photographs. Absolutely terrible unethical behaviour.

5km. This is not the first time we have had issues with this company, we where charged $100 to go 6km whilst our friends followed us in an uber costing them $23.

Terrible company – I used silver taxi’s a couple of times and they were always late. I then made a booking In advance for the airport and said I was paing cab charge. They sent me a cab that could not take cab charge. The driver dd not know anything about it. The service from this company is poor and extremely expensive. Double what a normal taxi would charge.

Silver Taxi Cabs SUCK! – tried to make a booking and they wanted to charge me $60 just for the booking alone as a start up fee. He hung because I protested it was a bit much. Lets hope they fall into bankruptcy. Good luck to them.

the designated pick up place on time although the taxi showed up 10mins late. When he finally arrived, I signalled to him as there were other cars parked outside the hotel but the taxi just drove off because he couldn't be bothered to wait for the other cars to move. So, I called the 1300 number again (from their SMS) to book a replacement cab. I was told another cab was coming so we waited. When the replacement cab showed up, the driver set off and then told me the charge would be $40 ! I questioned this and the driver urged me to call the 1300 number again to get confirmation of the charge. When I got through, I was told that this was their standard charge, that they normally only do longer journeys and that there were tolls to pay on the trip which I knew was not the case. Anyway, we were already late so I had no choice but I told them a poor review would be coming - here it is ! For the return trip, we booked an Uber which cost under $20 and the driver was excellent. Save yourself the aggro and DO NOT use Silver Taxi - we will never use them again.

"Sydney/Silver Taxi" and "13CABS" are just the one terrible service company – At least in Sydney, these two companies are under one owner, giving illusion of choice and competition. turn meter on, and when I noticed after a few minutes into trip and pointed it out to him he said that he'd just charge me the 'normal rate' at end as he'd lose those few minutes of travel. The amount he quoted was the maximum estimate, when actual travel was free-flowing with no traffic issues. Felt like a scam. And they wonder why people use uber, etc.
