Worked twice now simply won’t turn on – Moved into a brand new apartment this week with SMEG appliances installed. The cooktop has worked twice, once where it turned itself off a few minutes into cooking the first time and refused to turn back on again. We have run through the manuals troubleshooting guide several times, cycling the circuit breaker and wall switch; the key lock is not on. Looks to be a faulty unit - Hours later there was a beep from the device and we were able to turn it on for a second time but that only lasted a few seconds because as soon as we tried to set the temperature on one hotplate the entire unit shutdown, no display, would not respond to any controls and had not tripped the circuit breaker. That was two days ago and it has not worked since :( Never had SMEG appliances before so this is a disappointing start …
