Despite my best efforts to follow their instructions and care for the pan, it warped upon first use. Solidtekniks offered a one-time repair; however, the frypan was returned to me with concavity. They said it’s completely normal for a pan to be slightly concave, but honestly, for something that costs so much, I feel it shouldn’t 1) warp so easily and 2) not be level. They claimed the mild concavity will not affect performance, but in my experience it definitely does. This pan does not heat evenly compared to my other (much cheaper) stainless steel pans.
I really wanted to love this pan and had saved up for it but unfortunately, I regret my purchase. Looking at their AUS-ION reviews it looks like there are customers with similar experience. I'd recommend people consider other stainless steel pan options.

To clarify one point: a slight concave base is actually designed into quality iron and steel cookware. It allows the pan to expand and flatten as it heats, preventing it from bowing outward (which is a more serious issue). That said, it should never negatively impact your cooking experience, and we take it seriously when it does.
In terms of warping, this is typically related to heat intensity and thermal shock (for example, heating too quickly or unevenly on certain cooktops), but again, our focus is always on helping you get a pan that performs as expected, regardless of the cause.
