Perfect until it develops some grey lines like a dead pixel- now about 20 lines – Perfect until it develops some grey lines like a dead pixel- now about 20 lines. Sony warranty is only 1 year. Lodged a case online and no one called me ever. Bing Lee where I purchased it said there is nothing they can do.I also had a bad experience with the Sony Experia Play phone that just died after a year. I'm not going to buy any Sony product again.  Show details

Excellent TV – TV made by Sony is reliable with high quality and techniques, even not high costs, for me . So, I am a regular consumer of Sony TV as their technology to make terrific color is fantastic. When I had a chance to buy new television, I didn't make choice to take one between this television and another smart TV because I needed one that can make me… Read more

watch internet TV shows on TV. At last. I picked up this model with cromecast because of higher quality and more reasonable price. Now I am very satisfied with watching Youtube and other TV shows and dramas. Of course, it is good if I have better and more special speaker to enjoy sound quality, but this unit's built-in speaker is suitable for my flat, in my opinion.

Good TV, although I don't use all the functions – Overall very happy with TV. Picture and sound quality is good. Speakers seem good. We did have some issues connecting to the internet, but I'm sure with more practice we would be able to more easily. Has a good amount of ports & it's easy to swap between DVD and XBox.  Show details

Best Tv ever! – This tv has a great display with vibrant colors. It also comes with USB and HDMI ports. It uses Android as an operating system which is fast and reliable. Got it as a replacement of my old Sanyo and it did not disappoint. Also comes with a built in Netflix button on the remote :)  Show details

Lucky I got it on sale – The picture quality is nice. It came with one broken speaker, but this was promptly replaced by Sony at their cost. Great connectivity (plenty of ports). However, tends to be quite slow when using os and apps. Overall, I'm pleased with this tv because I got it for a good price on sale, it I would have been disappointed if I'd paid full price for it.  Show details

Crystal Clear – I'll be honest: there was a problem with backlight bleed on the panel. When I first contacted Sony, they weren't keen to replace the panel, but upon their tech seeing photos, agreed to replace the panel. The second panel had almost identical backlight bleed. Then, the mainboard malfunctioned -- random bits of info would flash up on the screen. … Read more

Here's the part that is reassuring: even though the television was just out of warranty, Sony replaced the panel again, and also replaced the mainboard. The new panel had a different part number to the first two, so perhaps Sony had a bad batch, or detected the recurring problem with the old part.

The panel is crystal clear. The sound is good -- no need for a soundbar, like with cheaper TVs, although I do run the television through my amp and speakers from time to time. It's a smart TV which performs well, especially given how far I have it from the router. I do get occasional drop outs, but that's because I've placed the TV beyond the recommended distance from the router, and there are a few solid walls between them.

So: a good product, and Sony look after their customers. The service tech in my area is first class: he's efficient but also a nice bloke...he replies to emails and shows up to do the job exactly when he says he's going to.

Fabulous TV – Great picture - colour and clarity, and excellent sound. No sound bar needed at all. Easy to use and set up, and goes well with my 2011 year Sony DVD recorder.

Good Smart TV but has a smudged screen that will require servicing – Picture Quality is not bad. Much better on the newer MP4-based HD 1080i channels than on SD. Sound is fine and the Smart TV apps are all functional. The kids love the YouTube app to browse their favourite toys etc. 2 problems I have with this TV and it is only 6 months old:- 1) Turning the unit on, you CANNOT change channel or sound level for… Read more

at least 1-2 minutes as the Wi-Fi connection has to do it's thing before you have any control over the TV. Even turning off the Wi-Fi does not fix this... Strange.......

2) The screen has a permanent grey smudge viewable off centre on the lower bottom left had side of the screen that takes up about 1/5th of the screen. Very annoying on light/white backgrounds or full colour adds..... I will be contacting Sony about this as there is no dirt on the screen itself as I have cleaned and wiped it many times. No amount of reducing the backlighting helps this issue either. It is as if the screen itself has a fault

Will let the forum know what the after-sales service is like.... To Be Continued.
