Sony HT-DDW1000

Good – I got this system as a run out model so scored it for a low price ($700). For this amount it is an absolute steel as the sound quality is extremely good. The bass is excellent, the frequencies are well balanced and separated. I use the two front speakers and the two sub woofers as there are two many speakers in the package. I found that having a stereo setup sounds better than the surround sound as the surround sound separates the sounds between the different speakers and some things are difficult to hear.

If you can get this system for a cheap price, definitely buy it. Otherwise look at the newer version. Fantastic sound quality. Great looks. Complicated remote control. The surround sound is not impressive I found.
