Outstanding, yet 12+yes old – Great tv, never had a fault. Bought as a reconditioned unit back in 2006? or so and still a great spec tv. 200hz motion flow etc. Id buy another now if I could (Not for $1800 as it cost then). Came with a free PS3 as a deal which runs ps4 beautifully also. Show details

Best TV with best colors and Gorilla Glass – This tv despite some years it looks stunning. Still the best TV out there without 4K for picture quality and reproduction of colors. Also amazingly stilish TV with its gorilla glass. Top of its class. Connetcs very well with PS4 and XBOX One and has a decent sound quality with stock speakers. Recommended an external Amp for best teather sound.  Show details

Fantastic TV – This was the first LED TV I purchased having made the jump from plasma. The colour reproduction on the TV was great after finding some recommended settings online. This TV has copped a flogging over the past couple of years and its worked great, no stuck pixels, backlight bleeding etc. It doesn't cosume much electricity. Reliable, great colour, energy efficient. Slow channel changes and menu navigation

I love this TV! – I bought this over the Samsung that I was also looking at due to the realistic images that this set produced, although I preferred the aesthetics of the Samsung model due to the Sony being a little staid in black. However, the price of the Sony was better and I felt the picture was slightly better on the Sony due to excessive reds on the Samsung.… Read more

I have watched numerous Blu Ray movies on this set and was blown away with the clarity and the depth of blacks. The motionflow is also a lot better than the Sonys of 2 years ago (my father has one) and was a lot more realistic and subtle, which really helped reduce the jerkiness of motion on the screen. The 3D is also great, but you need the glasses and transmitter (optional extras and a little pricey) but even with 2D movies the effect is more immersive!

I haven't hooked it up to the internet yet but I look forward to usign YouTube on it! Playing movie files from a hard disk is a real plus!

They are currently about to be superceded by a later model so they are quite a bargain to purchase at this point in time! Cheap, Internet enabled, can play from hard disk, crisp picture, excellent black levels. Screen a little reflective, styling a little boring.

very disappointed – i expected better instructions from a name like sony. not everyone who buys a tv is a wizard at installing things and sony help is pitiful. picture is okay poor workmanship - cheap plastic of cable plug socket broke on installing, useless operating instructions and i-manual mean i do not know how to use the features eg headphones

Thought Sony would be high quality supplier but! – Very disappointed with our Bravia 3D TV. Not yet 8 months and broken down for the second time. First it just didn't turn on -( the Monday before the grand final)and now a black bar about 10 cm wide, strange colours (eg with the pink writing on the guide where it used to be white) and then no picture. Was able to cope with the remote that… Read more

couldn't "switch to previous channel" but cant really cope with a TV that breaks down so often. Maybe I should have brought two cheaper ones and could have just replaced this beast. The 3D is not worth it.

The service centre treats you like a [censored word removed] as they didn't trust me to count to two (number of flashes indicates the fault) and so when they came out to repair it - they didst have the parts and we had to wait a week. looks good, good to view you tubes on, programming easy TV broken down twice yet only eight months old. bad warranty service

The perfect 55 inch tele – What an awesome tele. The 3D effects on appropriate DVD's have got to be seen to be beleived. The remote control is fully functional and interfaces with our packaged PS3 unit. So glad we went with Sony. No doubt the equivilent in Panasonic is the same but the package we brought was with Sony. Do your self a favour and get one of these units. … Read more

Don't go the extended warranty you are offered at the retail store, get on-line to the Sony Extended Warranty site and buy your extended warrany on-line with Sony. It's hundreds of dollars cheaper buying it on-line with Sony for EXACTLY the same warrany. Awesome picture with 3D effects, great sound and very fast start-up

Excellent – Very pleased with my 46" HX800. Great picture, does fast moving images such as sport quite well, blacks are good. Along with the PS3 which these things came for quite a long with with, the package makes a sensational team. The seperate 3D emitter was not such a bad thing as then you have more options to mount it so 3D glasses can see it easier,… Read more ·  1

and possibly upgrade if a newer one comes out.

Having a seperate wireless networking dongle, which takes up a USB port, is a bit of a dud but then you do have the option of upgrading if Sony do bring out a wireless N dongle or something. Should have another USB port so you don't have to unplug the wireless to play something from USB (yeah you could use USB hub I guess - I haven't tried it yet).

I have it connected to my network via its wireless and it can access audio, video and image files. As said, the video formats it will play is very limited so do your research but chances are you'll have something already like a PS3 which will do this.

Overall I am very happy with this TV. Great picture, wireless networking, Internet TV (watch your data usage!), cheap to purchase. Doesn't play a lot of video formats with its inbuilt media player (need to use another media player such as PS3, appleTV or WDTV). TV guide is very slow to load the stations which you're not watching.

Excellent – Overall I am very happy with this purchase and can not express enough my delight in getting into LED TV with bonus 3D display option coupled with free PS3 from SONY. years. I am very happy with sharp, crisp pictures in 200Hz along with 3D display option. I love the in-built BRAVIA internet option showing ABC iView and Yahoo7 programs. Also the Blu-ray connectivity with PS3 I received is absolutely superb and I have never imagined how good the movie quality is until I saw it in Blu-ray. Great product with fantastic technology matched with great customer experience. I am a very happy customer actively promoting my experience with SONY to my friends. Best deal available at The Good Guys, Campbelltown NSW 2560. I have not experienced any cons yet.
