Perfect functioning, excellent picture quality, pre- 4k quality – I have owned this 55" led tv for 3 years now, without any problems at all. I know it's an old tv now, but i am fully satisfied with Sony as a brand to manufacturer a quality tv. The way it operates, the functions, the features, for the price, at the time, was excellent. It has a USB port that accepts movie files, from a hard drive to watch straight to tv. I know it's old technology now, but 3 years ago, it was the bees knees. What I'm trying to say is i would be confident to buy a Sony tv, again and again, and so should you.

great value – Bought this TV from Dick Smith last week for $1120. It's superb. Blu-ray looks magnificent. Off-air standard def is very good. Needs a dongle to actually connect to the net but that's easy. Sound quality is a bit average but flat panels always struggle there. I have external speakers. Quite user-friendly interface as well. great picture, easy to setup and use. poor sound quality

Sony KDL55EX630 Television – I was not intending to buy a new television but saw a Sony 55" Led Edge lit LCD for $997.00 at my local Dick Smith store. I was certainly attracted by the price. I then did some searching around and found that most retailers were selling this same model for around $997.00. A 55" Sony LED edge lit LCD with a Bravia 3 engine, 100Hz and all the bells and whistles for under $1,000. Bargain.

A week later I bought one from a local Sony store for $996.00.

The TV was easy to set up and as you would expect from a Sony, everything about this unit is top notch. The quality of the picture is excellent and the audio is not the tinny sound that is common among many flat panel televisions. There are more than enough settings and options to fully customise this TV to suit most everyone's needs. The TV is advertised as a Smart TV which it is but requires an optional modem which is sold separately at extra cost. This unit is also not 3D.

Overall, I'm more than happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade to a large screen TV. Everything. Energy efficient, 4 USB and 4 HDMI ports, great picture and sound, fully customisable.
