Ok, so as a Stan subscriber who also pays for Paramount, Netflix, AppleTV, Binge, Prime, and (until recently) Disney, Acorn, and Britbox, I feel I'm qualified to choose the best streaming service. compelling lineup of great, watchable shows. So many of the others rely on a few magnet hits, but then have a back catalogue like a small town, NSW video shop in the late 90s. Just screen after screen of depressing dross. Stan gets it really right. I've watched about 10 series in a row that I rate better than 8/10. Like The Gold, Innocent, Too Close, The Hack, Manhunt (ok - I'm on a UK kick at the moment, but there is plenty from around the world - an astounding amount of it better than just watchable. Even The Rainmaker, which had its shark-jumping moments, was great compared to the swill I wade through trying to find something on most of the others.) Apple has a couple of gems, like Slow Horses up to series 4, and Severance series 1... but then it's a vacuum of barely watchable slime. And don't get me started on Prime or Paramount, or Netlflix (The Diplomat is a highlight, but hardly worth the monthly fee). Anyway, I won't accept any argument. Stan is the best. I'm ditching the others. I want you to all sign up so they have more money to lease and commission great stuff.

I have tried many times to cancel but it goes around in circles. Many many tedious hours. reading accounts here of similar rorting events I drained my account of all cash & will request a new debit card from my bank.

 Follow-up  · Obviously cancellation was deliberately difficult. and that constitutes a rort.The content,apart from the one doco I wished to see,was of no interest to me.

I had a Code A20 issue and contacted Stan Support. I received a response within five minutes from Angus. Communication was excellent and my issue was solved. Thanks for great customer service Angus and Pele.

I am giving a 5 star score as Ben was prompt in trying to help me. I did however solve the problem myself so I really didn’t need Ben’s assistance but he did give me directions on how to solve . PS - as a loyal customer what is the incentive for me to stay with Stan - $22 a month is making Stan disposable?????? Regards Jo Show reply

I cancelled my subscription 4 months ago, and this crooked company have continued to charge me !! I will be going to the ACCC regarding their methods if I cannot get a favourable result. this, they send a sneaky email saying we have received your request to cancel . [Name Removed] is that ?? Just say the plan is no longer active. This Mob DELIBERATELY make it difficult to cancel the plan. They are dishonest and evasive. Ch 9 should be totally ashamed of themselves !! Avoid like the plague!

watch a EPL game on YouTube a minute ahead of Stan screening it... Get your act together NINE/Stan and show Real rime coverage!!!!. I heard goals on YouTube at least a minute before the visual coverage on Stan. This is Australia not Mars or Venus Don't get me started on the NRL delays, OMG!!! Show ads in a corner of a screen, while we watch LIVE games, NOT 1 minute delayed. Simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH and why i Cancelled my Stan subscription

The stream is constantly going into wait mode as it is very slow in streaming data. I have other services that have zero issues. Stan always has problems the platform is close to unusable.

I could not login to Stan on both my TV's. I approached support staff for help and Ken answered my request. He worked out what was the problem and got me up and running again. Very happy with the service Ken gave me and I must say ken knows his business.

a bit of stuffing around logging in to a new TV, response times of within 30mins not always followed from help center but a big thanks to Ken & Emma for helping to resolve my issue which turned out to be my fault.

Was unable to download any programmes even though I’d emptied my queue. Pete advised me to empty my cache (I just exited) and rebooted my iPad and then I had no further problems. The prompt service was great. Show reply

I don’t mind the content but every video I play stops every minute for about 15 seconds. I think last time I had a subscription I upgraded to premium and it stopped doing it. I won’t upgrading this time however . Goodbye Stanley

had been taking money out for at least the last two years Because it's only$12 and initially $10 It doesn't really right to mention these days when you spend thousands of dollars every week and several transactions per day To spot one charge per month anyway they do not have a telephone at Stan so you have to use an online assistant who replies to you by email I have so far got 5 replies all asking for the same information that I supply which is my last four digits of my bank account expiry date and a screenshot I supplied the information to 5 people and then asked on social media in the Messenger section on Facebook why no one is getting back to me and apparently Stan have a system where if you follow up your enquiry with another one you immediately go to the bottom of the pile of enquiries I am now 7 days trying to get the subscription cancelled and also get some proof as to how it had been signed up considering we do not use the service on the television or any device in fact we've got several emails over the last two years asking us if we would like to subscribe to Stan which is not something you would if you were already a subscriber to that streaming service . so far they offer owe me approximately $300 and I have made an inquiry with my bank to see how far it goes back unauthorised transactions for a service that has not been accessed.

I signed up for free month trial offer, and I cancelled the same day to ensure I was not renewed "at the standard monthly price". refuse to refund the $37. Logically, if it wasn't cancelled, it should have carried over to a entry level plan, and have the option to cancel immediately, not one month from now. Shady business practices. I'll be following up with the ACCC

Disgraceful! Offer a free trial and still charge even if you cancel well before due date and it's near impossible to get it back. They deliberately make it very difficult. I told them to keep it if they're that desperate!

My card was compromised and so my account was suspended. Was going to update my details but due to this I had to remember my login from the 100's of other accounts I have for work and personal. As they logged me out and suspended I decided not to keep this service. They did offer me a free month but then renegged so it was an easy decision… Read more

seeing there is only 1 show that was decent that I wanted to watch and can get it elsewhere.

It's okay but content over the last year has been ordinary.

I was a Stan client for 10 years and I initially loved it and always defended it in the battle of Stan vs Netflix with my friends. However, in the last couple of years I have noticed a continuous deterioration of content. Good TV series, were replaced by Drag Queen shows and the content has become more and more woke and totally uninteresting...… Read more

hard to find any good old movies . My favourite TV series Star Gate ( SG1, Atlantis, etc), The Borgias, AD-The Bible continues, are gone to make space for RuPaul's any possible version ever produced. Comedies are no longer comedies ( see the bland "Hacks") after 2019 (not only on Stan) and my time is limited. At the end of a stressful day at work I want to relax and these streaming channels have no more content. Bring back the good movies or TV series. I must admit I loved their Three Musketeers, Domina & Yellowstone...but how many times are you supposed to watch that? ... I obviously stopped my subscription... maybe Stan should invest in older movies and TV series... they are much better and cheaper than the new ones in Hollywood . I guess even a soap opera (Latin American, Turkish, etc. ) would be 100 times better than what is streaming now on Stan, Netflix, Disney, etc.

the issue is corrected. I don’t think I have ever had a company respond that quickly with meaningful advice on how to fix the problem. Also worth noting it was 8pm Perth time that I sent that message. I am very impressed with this customer support.
