Not great customer service for wedding – My experience was ok, however when planning a wedding, they cancelled my order when they realised I wasn't going to earn them enough money. My order was cancelled without a discussion to see if we could reach a mutually beneficial agreement. This is disappointing after months of research and quote requests.

Fabulous Party Hire Equipment & Service! – What great service! From the booking, to delivery planning, and installation I cannot fault the service and customer experience that I had with Sven! They were helpful, made great suggestions, did not try to oversell and had clean, quality products (marquee, lighting, chairs and tables) at a fair and reasonable price! Definitely recommend them for any size event!

Delivery was awesome – I hired a slushy machine and some glow tables that were delivered by Daniel and delivery was efficient with all items being handled with care and delivered in great condition

Pure Thieves With No Ethics Or Morals – My sister organised a engagement party at our house in April of 2020, she got a quote from Star Party Hire and decided to proceed. had to cancel the event and have it at a restaurant instead. My sister requested a refund, but they refused and insisted they don't refund the deposits on cancellations, they said they can only offer credit for future events, even though this wasn't our cancellation, it was a government requirement. They agreed to only refund whatever we paid over the 30%, my sister agreed due to the difficult time for some business at the time.

12 months later we had another event at home and this time there was no restrictions, so we decided to redeem our credit. When I contacted Star Party Hire, they said we have no credit with them as due to them refunding whatever we paid over 30%, we automatically lose the 30% as well.

This is absolutely ridiculous and pure theft. I'm not a ignorant person and I know the law very well, this is illegal in every state of the country. Not even their contract states such a ridiculous clause. I'll be contacting NSW Fair Trading and NSW Ombudsman to report them. To be completely honest, I don't even care about the $800 I lost, I just feel a company this unethical should not be running. Just remember how much the government tried to help small business like yourself stay afloat during Covid, don't take advantage of those rights and steal other people's money.

After shopping around for my second event, I found numerous professional companies that offer the exact same products for way less. Star Party Hire pay for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) hence they come up in the front pages of search engines and have a large number of reviews, in theory they're small backyard business that will steal every dollar that they can. I suggest you don't support a company like this and take your business elsewhere, especially in these unpredictable times of Covid.
