SteelSeries Apex M800 Keyboard

Looks good but poor build quality & reliability let it down – I have been using the Steelseries M800 keyboard along with a Steelseries mouse for about 9 months and will never buy a Steel Series product again. The mouse was the first to go after 4 months and now the keyboard is developing faults. It seems a robust build but I have had 2 keys detach from the board that were unable to be fixed. I have asked Steelseries to mail me some replacement keys, but they refused because they do not deliver to Australia!. The backlit keys are nice, but occasionally they will flicker & die and can only be restored by rebooting the keyboard. I have had $10 keyboards easily last more than 5 years whilst this overpriced piece of junk, cannot last a year.
OK Keyboard but needs keystroke problems resolved – This is a reasonably well built gaming keyboard with good backlighting of keys and features programmable key functions and backlighting effects. What lets this keyboard down is a history of ongoing keystroke problems where certain keystrokes get missed. A look through technical reviews suggest that there are software compatibility issues with windows 7 and windows 10. Overall the keyboard is too software reliant and complicated to receive a higher recommendation.
