This is perfect! Lifesaver for my newborn – When my newborn would not sleep anywhere, in this he would often find comfort. If I had to cuddle and carry an unsettled newborn I could quickly pop him in this for those time I needed 2 hands free, and I didn't have to bend down to the floor level as I would have to with a bouncer. Highly recommend and wish I had bought it for my first born also.

One of the best things we had in the first few months – This attachment for the trip trapp has made it useful from the beginning. It's so good to have our baby at our height and secure when we're in the kitchen, and we'd move him round the house too. Now he's 3 months weve been sitting him in the newborn attachment at the table with us and he's been learning dinner routines etc, ready for food himself!

Useful But Careful - it Topples Over! – We loved this from the moment our daughter was born until today!!! Our daughter toppled over in it and it wasn't backwards like others have said - the chair, with her in it, toppled over to the front! Luckily, she is ok but that was a real shock and I am, now very concerned using it, as you can imagine she is 8kg, so within the weight limit and… Read more

she wasn't even sitting by the table or moving vigorously. Do not leave your baby unattended! I was next to her, but still couldn't prevent it.

Surprisingly super handy for 2nd child – Have loved our Stokke Tripp Trapp chair since starting solids with our first child, so I deliberated a lot on the added expense of getting this seat before arrival of no.2 (read reviews and asked questions from those selling on eBay). I thought its yet another thing that we'll only use for a couple of months, if we're lucky. But since the day no.2… Read more

arrived its been fabulous. Being able to keep bub off the floor (especially with toddler running around & over zealous about their sibling) has been priceless. Having them at eye level with cooking (again with toddler too), meal times and even used separately on the floor to stop bub from rolling and getting stuck / cranky. Bub is now over 5 months old and we are still using it, even though he has never been a small baby the seat is a good design that he seems to be comfortable in it. It has also been a great seat to start solids in (our 1st child we awkwardly used bouncer or pram). It's super easy to attach and detach from the high chair, and feels safe and sturdy. As well as easy to dismantle to throw seat in the washing machine (plus dries quickly). The only small gripe I have is that the toy attachment arm is challenging to put on and off, and the harness straps are difficult to adjust (as all Stokke harnesses seem to be). Otherwise, would highly recommend if you manage to get one 2nd hand (to reduce cost). Second-hand tend to be in good condition as they are typically only used for max 1st 6mths. Ease of attaching, removing and dismantling from Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair. Practical, safe and inclusive. Expensive, challenge to remove toy attachment arm and alter harness straps.

Great for a newborn! – Bought this for our baby when he was 2 months old - I wish we got this way sooner but! It is super handy to use in the kitchen when I cook, as the baby can sit and watch or play with his toys which are able to be hung from the toy hanger it comes with. He seems very comfortable in the chair and sometimes even falls asleep in it. We also use it at… Read more ·  2

the dinner table when we eat, so that he can sit with us & interact at meal times.

The straps are all adjustable as the baby grows bigger all the time - the newborn set can be used up to 9kg.

This seems like a much much safer option compared to the Bumbo's or other sit on the counter top baby seats - which I have heard can topple over onto the floor :(

My only advice would be, get it as soon as you can - as I struggled to cook and do things around the house prior to having this newborn set & chair. Now I can just strap the baby into the chair and do all my jobs, the chair is super easy to move around the house where ever you need the baby to be with you :)

We also bought the Textile Set in Silouette Blue to fit over the Newborn Set which makes it nice & bright - the newborn set doesn't have a cover (only the light brown provided) which is not too nice.

Would definitely recommend this to any new parents - plus you get to use the chair even after the baby grows out of this. + Can pick Textile Sets to suit your colours. + Adjustable straps. + Can be used from Newborn to 9kgs. + Stable & Safe. + Toy Bar is great! - Expensive

Fantastic – This was something I debated over whether it was just something that would look good instead of being practical. It has turned out to be the absolute best purchase. Our son was so comfortable in it that in the initial 3 months when sleep was something he didn't love to do - he would fall asleep in it for a couple of hours. At that stage I didn't… Read more

mind where he slept as long as he did. Also it was great for him to be in while we were in the kitchen, he could see us and play with the toys we attached. If you have the chair, you must get this for your newborn, you will love it. Everything, easy to clean and very comfortable Expensive, but all the Stokke products are - but I don't regret buying anything. You get what you pay for, and with Stokke it is quality.
