BEWARE!! - My StoneDine frypan lid exploded!!! – We purchased a StoneDine Plus frypan with glass lid. Following the Manual’s Care Instructions I washed the frypan and lid in warm water and rinsed. I placed the glass lid on my drainer and proceeded to wash up some new glasses and as I was placing the third glass on the drainer the lid suddenly exploded! The glass shards flew halfway across my… Read more

kitchen, all over the benches, the sink and the floor. I was lucky a piece of glass didn’t end up in my eye. When cleaning it up I noticed tiny shards of glass sticking to my hands. My husband returned it to the store and was questioned at length about how we used it during cooking, (we had only just purchased it 40 minutes prior and hadn’t had a chance to cook anything, thankfully) and they wanted to know if it had been in the dishwasher (we don’t have one). If it exploded during washing in warm water I hate to think what would have happened when actually cooking at a higher temperature with it. They reluctantly gave us a refund because we said that we wouldn’t be comfortable using the product after our experience. This is a warning to other customers - be careful please! Even if I had poured boiling water on it or gave it a hard whack (which I certainly hadn’t) I would have thought that the glass should have “safely shattered” like car windscreens do. Where are the safety features on this product!

Great Product has never Stuck in 3 Years – Bought mine over 3 years ago and never had any trouble with sticking, after reading the reviews that have been posted I am shocked to see so many bad reviews as to the sticking of food to the said pans. I am a chef by trade and find this pan to be the best product I have ever used. The one thing I see written is that the food sticks after 3-5… Read more

times of use. You must follow the instructions to a T to get the best results. Here is where you are going wrong, you must season the pan with vegetable oil, (but not Bran Oil) by putting 3-4 drops of oil in the pan and using a pastry brush smear the oil over the whole inside of the pan(s), here is the trick most people do not know is then turn on a hot plate on your stove and put the pan on the hot plate which is set on medium, now let the pan and oil get hot to the point of it just starting to smoke, take it of the heat then let it cool down then with a paper towel wipe more oil in the pan and set the pan aside for 24hrs, DO NOT EVER USE ANYTHING THAT IS METAL with your pan(s). Never put them in a dishwasher, you will always have to use some form of oil while cooking which will be less than a couple of drops. Every now and then when not in use grab a paper towel and some oil and wipe your pan with it and it will keep it seasoned. Happy Cooking

Stonedine 32cm Saute Pan – I bought this pan 3 weeks ago at Harris Scarfe on sale for around $60. Brought it home, and then checked for reviews. I found this page, and was pretty disappointed - I was about to take it back for a refund. But I needed to cook a meal - and I figured I'd have nothing to lose if I tried it out. Read up a bit more about do's and don'ts, put a… Read more ·  1

smear of Rice bran oil on to sear it - and started cooking.

Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. no sticking.

In the time I've used it every day - and cooked steak, sausages, potato slices, lots more eggs and bacon.

Still works perfectly. Nothing sticks to it, and it cleans up with a paper towel.

I use an induction stove - Large hotplate, and max. temp setting of 7/10

This pan replaced a Tefal pan, which was gradually getting worse and worse. Everything was sticking to it.

To be fair, I used to heat that one up to 10. Perhaps that's what eventually killed it.

So my theory is that as long as you don't use excessive heat, the Stonedine pan is fine.

If I remember, I'll post an update in a while :-)

Good product – Have found this product very good - not heavy and cooks dishes well. We had on hand the assembly tool needed and I’d say most tool kits /handymen would have it on hand - I would recommend this pan and is excellent for its price Show details

Best cookware set ever – I have just thrown out smaller frypan due to scratches (result of my grandaughter). I have had the set for 3 years and cannot fault them. Earlier this year I bought a set off ebay for my friend. They looked identical. She had them for 3 weeks and brown marks appeared on the bottom and everything was sticking. Comparing the products, her set had… Read more

Disappointing product – This frying pan starts out really well but then the non-stick wears off so quickly, the screw in the handle needs tightening all the time. When I contacted the store I purchased my three pans from they didn't know how to activate the "twelve-year warranty" and they were unwilling to return it after a year. The website on the box doesn't seem to exist. Show details

I'm glad I only purchased the trial pan. I seasoned the pan as per instructions, but noted the seasoning instructions were not included with the pan. You do need to keep stirring the pan to prevent sticking. It seems to work well, however after a few months the coating has begun to peel. I wonder how effective it will beonce the coating removes completely. Show details

Unhappy fryer – Stonedine Hybrid 20cm frying pan never again!. I brought this to small frying pan to try before buying the complete set. Thank goodness I did. Eggs and pancakes all stick to it. Heat doesn’t seem to be even. I informed them of return. Able to reach easy. That’s not a problem however I have to pay post back of course and a refurbishment fee. No one has told me how much that will cost, they say not much. What!!! Show details

Absolute crap – this pan was amazing when io got it for my mother's day gift, I've heard that these types of pans are great to begin with then turn crappy. That's exactly what mine has done, EVERYTHING STICKS. I have followed care instructions to a tee, never use metal implements, washed when cold/cool etc etc. Don't waste your money.  Show details

Very misleading information – I have had my StoneDine Cookware for just over 5 years and up until a year ago I loved it. Until the non stick started coming off. I know I've got 4 years good use of it but, I was under the understanding it had 12 years guarantee. Now I find out it has 1 year Warranty and 12 years guarantee. Which simply put they will cover anything for 1… Read more

year and nothing after that. Also the adds on this cookware shows an abrasion test but they tell you not to use metal utensils on it, so that is a lot of false advertising there. I would not have worried but when you pay hundreds of dollars for something you are told is almost indestructible (according to the adds anyway) then you expect it to last longer than a $10 toaster. My opinion is DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

StoneDine - Everything sticks – I purchased my set of stonedine pots and pans from Harvey Norman (blue set). Sad to say that everything sticks to them. All that money spent - wasted! I now need to buy new pots and pans. They supposedly are meant to last upto 10 years! Definitely false advertisement. Side note: I cared for pots and pans as written in the stonedine owners manual.  Show details

Pretty good product. I bought mine 4 years ago – Sad to see such bad reviews as my frypan has been pretty good over the years. I bought the frypan (black coating) from Harvey Norman about 4 years ago. I have had a little problem now and the with sticking but I just tend to use a bit of olive oil in the pan and move the food around and it is fine. Will not use it for eggs as they do stick and… Read more

become a scrambled mess. Good with meat too - used all except fish (allergy in home). I have zero problems with the coating. It is all still there and I do use my non scratch scourer on it. Handle is a little loose but nothing major and has not broken off. I actually bought the large pot today (blue coating) from Harris Scarfe as it was on sale due to being a display item in great condition. Yet to use it but will see how the different coating goes. Anyway, pretty good for me and a shame most people are having issues.

find another cookware – I fell for the hype at the time I purchased this set of cookware, was not all that I expected. food will stick to it and the inside if the pot or pan will fail and start to wear off. having said that the thing that upsets me the most is that there is nothing you as a consumer can do about it . there is no way to get satisfaction or a replacement .  Show details

Do not waste your money, Do not believe the TV ad – 1. For the first few weeks great frypan, I only used plastic spatula or wooden spoon. Plus no sprays or oils and always wiped with paper. Very disappointed looked good on to but not the same when you use it. Customer service terrible – I contacted stone dine when my product was just over 12 months old and complained about coating everything was sticking and very hard to clean. I wouldn't recommend this product again to anybody… Read more

it is rubbish you would be better spending the money on a cheap pan then throw away when it is done. But when you spend $500.00 plus on a set you feel bad throwing it away. I actually have thrown 2 of the pans away as you couldn't cook anything in them without it coming out looking a mess. DONT BUY THIS STUFF
