Hi I accidentally dropped the glass lid of my frypan and was wondering if I could buy one on its own l as the base is still in good order.

It may be possible I have purchased one a few years ago. Contact your local Sunbeam Service agent.

I just googled to find this review forum to find out about the Sunbeam FP 8610. I wanted to add to the review. I bought one at a garage sale yesterday here in Yeppoon, Central Qld. I went for garden tools and spotted the frypan. The seller turned it on for me to test. I could see that it heated well and bought. I cooked steak last night on a lower setting and it took a bit longer. Tonight we had steak again and Zo tried on a higher heat. Beautifully cooked, perfect actually if I don’t mind saying so. I love how easy it is to clean as well. I was going to search for cooking a roast in the fry pan. Any hints from other users or Sunbeam would be much appreciated. Love my new purchase. Cheers Marilyn

Hi CavGirl, The pan and lid are dishwasher safe. We recommend after cleaning the fry pan, ensure that the control probe inlet area is completely dry before using again.

Is it possible to get one anywhere?

Most electrical stores sell them. I think they are a product they always carry. I see them often over 25 yrs. the hard part is I'd love a smaller skillet but they don't make them in stainless steel any more.

Thank you. You can get the buffet style or rectangular Ellise stainless steel pan, but I understand the square one has gone out of production. So I bought an Sunbeam electric skillet - which is readily available - but sometimes is too small. I do not like using any Teflon coated pans.
