Blade swivels, easily pushed out of position. How to fix?

The magnet is not holding the can in place and when lever is pressed down the blade is not cutting into can.

I just got one of these. Tried to open a tin of evaporated milk and ended up losing half of it. The magnet wouldn't stay attached, and tipping the can to make the unit work meant once a bit was opened the fluid came out. I managed two small runs of getting through the can lid as it just didn't continue long enough to finish even if I did hold the lever down, which it says you don't have to once it starts, but had to use a manual opener to finish the job. I was thinking I must be doing something wrong but other people seem to have had the same issue in the past. It just didn't work! Very reluctant to try again.

Hi Chris, Just checking did you 1-Simply lift the lever and position the blade inside the rim of the can. 2-Press the lever down. Motor will automatically start. 3-The motor will automatically stop when the can is fully opened.

The Magnetic lid holder Holds the lid in place during and after the can is fully opened. If your still having issues please let me know. Thanks

I did follow the instructions very carefully but the magnetic lid holder didn't do its job. Initially, the motor started and the can began to turn but then it was wobbling all over the place and dropped off. Once there was a partial cut, it was impossible to start again without the contents spilling out when the can was tilted to position it.

Have just purchased this can opener. The release button doesn't move, it appears stuck. Is it supposed to slide sideways ?

I purchase one of these... worst appliance I have ever purchased and could not get a refund as I had lost the reciept ... dumped it and vowed to never buy another product made by this company

How to use the knife sharpener in Open All electronic can opener. Instruction manual does not show how to open it or use it?

Hi avlis, All you need to do is run your knife through the slot at the back and will sharpen it for you. I usually would go in one direction and do 2 or 3 times...
