I was given a Tag Heuer Aquaracer in 2018 by my employer to celebrate my ten years employment. Otherwise, I would probably not have any experience with any "luxury" watch brands. (I know, lucky me). In 2021 (or maybe 2022 - COVID years are a bit blurred) it needed a battery replaced. Local jewelers and watch servicing businesses said that it was… Read more
beyond their expertise. I took it to the Gold Coast Tag Heuer shop and it was sent to Sydney for a battery replacement. Six weeks and $160 later I had my watch back.
In December 2025 it stopped working again so I took it back to Tag Gold Coast on 16 December. On 7 January, I was told that it needed a new battery and a new movement. I was quoted $380 for repairs and given an expected date of 20 February for the watch to be ready. I needed to confirm my acceptance of this repair and pay up front, which I did.
It was eventually available to be collected on 25 February. This was just over 10 weeks after being dropped off at the Tag shop.
To be fair, the watch was beautifully polished and looks like a brand new watch. And, look, I realise that I have only personally paid $500 odd for a great watch. That said, had I shelled out $2K for a watch, I would be disappointed if the movement only lasted seven years. Plus, 10 weeks for a relatively simple service (not to mention 6 weeks for a battery change) is absolutely ridiculous.
I really like the watch (when it is working, which is most of the time) but I simply can't recommend it because of the downtime required when it needs a battery replaced and also because a major part of my watch required replacement after only seven years.
2 months to get a new battery is pretty outrageous, unbelievable that very expensive after services then also take forever with no real explanation. Was the same for my partner’s watch. Reading the reviews on here, sounds like I can be grateful it works at all.
Do NOT buy…They do a great job of presenting as a luxury and quality item…False…They stop making parts so you only keep this icee of rubbish for a few years and then chuck in the bin

This is not about the Tag Heuer watch itself - it's more about the store that sold it to me - BOUTIQUE TAG HEUER PERTH 12 Nov 2024 - Unfortunately, the pics don't do the watch justice. I don't know which one to buy. My original Tag is 32yrs old now (Gold watch on the left) and still works perfectly, but is becoming a bit of an issue as the… Read more

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED and DON'T DEAL WITH THEM - BOUTIQUE TAG HEUER PERTH
On the 3rd Dec 2024, I purchased one of these watches and it cost me $3,400 - 2 weeks after that, I saw the same watch in Mazzucchelli's for $2720 - that's $680 less. Mazzucchelli's were having a promotion for Tag Heuer. I rang the store (Tag Heuer Perth) and spoke to [Name Removed] for info about discounts and was told 'they are a Tag Heuer Exclusive Boutique and they don't discount, and there was no chance of any form of discount' I asked how Mazzucchelli's can discount their stock but not Tag Heuer Perth, and was just told that their prices are set by Tag Australia What a 'crock of [Content Removed] I thought All stores can sell at whatever price they want to.
I was so 'PISSED' - I've just wasted $680 on what I thought was a pretty exclusive and expensive watch. Well, this watch doesn't feel 'exclusive' to me anymore.
DON'T DEAL WITH THIS STORE - go to Mazzucchelli's
Overpriced. Not worth the money – Own a TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 CV2014. Your Tag Heuer will eventually stop working and you’ll be required to spend a ridiculous sum in order for it to be repaired. Own other timepieces and Tag Heuer is without a doubt the least reliable. Show details
Warning - Shocking after Sales Care – WARNING - Couldn’t be more disappointed with my $5000 Tag Heuer purchase. 100m waterproof watches that can’t be worn in the shower! What a joke, I won’t be buying watches here in the future. After having this defective watched repaired one, it failed again. This time they want $600 to fix it and won’t accept a return. I’ll be raising my issues with Fair Trade Queensland. Show details
expensive rubbish – within three months of buying a Tag Heuer Aquaracer the watch stopped working. was repaired under warranty only to fail again in a matter of weeks. returned for repairs once more only to fail again, and then again and again. after four warranty repairs by Tag Heuer had it fixed at an independent watch maker, but after 12 months it still failed… Read more

Excellent service – Sent my 33 year old Tag Heuer watch to Botany Servicing in Sydney (LVMH). Unfortunately my watch was too old to get spares for. As a courtesy they fitted a battery free of charge. So, basically I got free courier collection, a free battery fitted and free courier delivery back to me. The watch was also packaged for transit to a very high standard. Excellent service, now considering buying a new Tag from them. Show details
Not equipped to manage a service centre – The NSW Tag Heuer service centre in the CBD is ill-equipped to manage basic services e.g. changing the battery, and assisting to update the digital watches. I was told it will take 4 weeks to change the battery. Customers who buy this brand of watches don't expect this as a service.
Great watch – I bought this for myself as a present nearly 4 years ago. I have the calibre 5 automatic. Cost me less than $2k, never had it serviced. Wear it every day and it hasn’t missed a beat. I take if swimming, fishing and in the shower. Very comfortable and functional. Show details

am extremely disappointed with my experience at the TAG Heuer Chermside boutique, particularly in how my case was handled by Owen Fuller, Acting Manager. I returned my watch on 2 February 2025 with its box, papers, and warranty at Owen’s request. Over the following months, I was given contradictory and misleading information — including promises… Read more
of a refund, trade-in, and replacement options.
On 26 July, Owen told me the watch had “just returned from the service centre.” This was untrue. Later that same day, he admitted the watch had actually been misplaced for a significant period and never serviced. He also acknowledged that he manually updated the system to make it appear as though the watch had been repaired.
When I saw the watch, it had new scratches, fingerprints, and the strap was unchanged, with the original box and papers missing. Instead of a proper resolution, I was offered store credit of $3,250 on a watch worth $3,685 — far from acceptable given the damage, missing items, and loss of trust.
This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing. For a luxury brand, I expected far higher standards of honesty, professionalism, and accountability.
Disappointed, bought my TAG Carrera in December 2023, cost over $5000 dollars, I only wear it on special occasions, it's expensive and I'm not going to wear it fixing the car or doing the gardening. It spends the majority of it's life in an automatic winder. Recently I noticed both automatic watches, (the other is a 50 year old Swiss Pierpont,… Read more
which incidentally never misses a beat,) were stopped, the auto winder's electric plug came out. I decided to reset the times and dates but found the winder on the TAG to be so stiff it felt like it would break off the stem if I tried to wind it. Fortunately the watch is still under warranty, this from a watch that has probably been worn for about 15 or so times, so much for TAG craftsmanship, I'd have had a more reliable watch if I had just bought a cheap old Citizen.

What a joke of a brand. Sent my watch back to have the battery replaced, for TAG to tell me that there was corrosion inside. Said it was “maybe” the crown wasn’t wound in correctly or the pusher may have be hit while in the water, allowing water to enter a water resistant watch up to 200m. Also asked if I had been anywhere humid. Want $500 to fix it. Avoid this brand and Mazzucchelli’s Jewellery as they don’t stand by their product. Show details

FAKE LUXURY BRAND - TERRIBLE AFTER-SALES SUPPORT – RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS BRAND AND THE BRISBANE OUTLET. My opinion is that this brand is a joke - you've worked hard to get a watch you can enjoy - with quality and service that reflects the price tag. Do not spend your hard-earned money here, and do not trust your investment to them. I recommend you have a look at Longines and Tudor in the same… Read more
price point - you should get better after-sale support. I went in to have a very basic job done - a service, and told them it was really important to me that the spare links were also polished so the whole bracelet matched. I gave them my beloved watch and spare links at the same time. Instead of a simple job, it's turned into a nightmare, where TAG has lost half my bracelet links and is making it very difficult to find a resolution. The incredible part is, the spare links are literally specified on the service job - nobody is debating that they have been lost. There was no follow up by outlet staff - I had to chase this the whole way, and my impression is that each new person had absolutely no idea what was going on.
Buyer beware of TAG Heuer watches – I got a $3,000 TAG Formula 1 watch 8 years ago and it hasn't kept correct time the entire time I've had it for. Tag watch made in CHINA – I have 6 tag watches all made in Switzerland but I recently bought another one, paid $4000 and after a few weeks I found out that it is made in CHINA (TAG HEUER CONNECTED CALIBER E4 BRIGHT BLACK EDITION) how sad I do not recommend TAG to anyone Simple, don't buy Tag watches. Tag Heuer Watches are a Disappointment – I bought a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph 3 years ago. Recently I noticed that the minute hand would stop working and had to tap the watch to get it to start to move again. It's insane that I paid $1.5K for a watch only to have it break 3 years after purchasing it. I purchased watches less expensive than the TAG and never had an issue with any of them. It's unacceptable that a watch for that amount of money will break after 3 years! I will never purchase a Tag Heuer again.
Don't waste your money: watch cannot even be in a room with a shower – Eighteen months after purchased watch I returned it with condensation inside the watch. Was told straight away it was my fault. problem as that there was water in the watch (this was obvious and why I returned it). Agreed for repairs, asked for more information from both dealer and Tag Heuer WWW feedback. Received nothing from either. Watch serviced and returned with no information from either dealer or WWW site on WHY it might have got water inside it. Was told I could inspect the replaced items returned to me when I picked up the watch. No items were returned to me when I picked up the watch Continued efforts to receive information or these items met with no success. Dealer promised repairer would respond with email. Nothing received. Kept saying that watch would leak if I hadn't screwed down the crown. The Autavia does not have a screw-down crown. Could not comprehend that the watch might have been faulty. Kept saying that 'high humidity' environments such as showers can shrink seals. I noted that the watch was removed before showering and was told by the dealer that even sitting on a chair IN A ROOM WITH A SHOWER might be too much humidity. Was then told I had not 'bought a watch fit for purpose'.
So a watch that claims to be water resistant to 100m CANNOT EVEN BE IN A ROOM WITH A SHOWER. Certainly this information was not available when I bought it. What a hopeless watch. I was totally conned into believing it had some sort of quality. I wonder what purpose such a watch is fit for?
Alas I don't have the energy to keep going back to the retailer to try amf fidn the replaced part and be told the same thing: its my fault for not locking down the non-existent lockable crown, or for leaving it in the same room while showering.
If you want a watch that will work, this is not for you. A total waste of money from a company that will blame the owner for any problems.
Tag Heuer Service Support – Drove 3 hours to Melbourne to drop off my Tag Aquaracer for a service and battery change. Imagine my surprise when they tell me that they don’t service their product in Melbourne, but send it to Sydney for maintenance! Further and most disappointingly it would be a month turn around! A month, to change a battery!!! So off to a non-Tag watch… Read more
repairer it is. Naturally next watch is not going to be a Tag. One of the key considerations for any premium watch buyers is timeliness of maintenance. My guess is Tag send them out to a contracted service agent.

courses in a radius of 10km from where I live. Only one of those courses is listed on the watch, which is very annoying and making the watch unfit for the purpose I bought it. I did ask Tag to add the courses but they require a lot of info on each course from me that I (or even the course management) don't have. Also, the watch takes ages to find my location when I want to use it for walking or exercising, even with no clouds in the sky. That's also a pain in the butt!!! And yes the battery life is really as crap as they say! Its a beautiful watch but for the price you pay for it, its crap!

Nightmare – Wasted big dollars on a watch that was meant to be special. It's been nearly a year fighting Tag to fix it's problem. They keep saying it's its characteristics. Don't waste your time – Purchased the Super Mario Connected Watch upon release for my son's 17th birthday last year. When it came back to the boutique, firstly we had to wait in line outside to be served. Ok, it's a small store, but… Read more
then when we finally got in, they could not begin set up because the watch was not charged. Ok, so we left it about 2 hours, went and had lunch, then when we returned it was only 47%. 47% after 2 hours, puts it at 4 hours for a full charge?? When they specifically said 1 hour?? Then once google pay and what's app were loaded, the watch because too hot to wear, and the software froze again, and the watch was once again unusable. This was supposed to be a new watch head, but the same problem happened. So, back to the service centre, where the official report says NO FAULT FOUND and staff at the Sydney Boutique backed it up with informing me to not use NFC because it will make it too hot, and not what's app because using apps will make it freeze when it tries to connect to the phone. SO, my question: WHY THE HECK are you selling watches with the name "connect" in them, if your Sydney Boutique staff are telling us they will break down when you start to connect them?? Also, the lady at the service centre tried pushing me to agree to a refund. Just my personal opinion, but maybe someone along the chain might be making it not work so I agree to a refund so they can have it and onsell it?? As I said, that last part is just my personal opinion, but why are they not able to fix this particular watch, that just happens to be a limited edition unavailable from Tag Heuer anymore?? Very upsetting!!
Avoid TAG Heuer Sydney at all costs – My very expensive Hueur watch has now failed 3 times. It is a very pretty piece of junk. So, after receiving a new movement, they were only prepared to warrant it for one year. After considerable argument, they warranted it for 2 years. It failed again shortly after the extended warranty expired.
TAG then charged me more than $200 to look at it, again. They were more than a month late in responding to me, supposedly, waiting for parts. When I attended the shop and complained, my watch was then ready the next day. It seems that the parts problem has miraculously abated ...
I then had to attend the shop three times to collect it, as the hours of trade on the website were wrong. They still are.
TAG and their global parent LVMH have no real understanding of the market in which they purport to operate, other than how to extract the customers' cash. I expect much more from a self-styled "luxury" brand. There is no point in owning a Bentley if you can't get it out of the shed. It is quite telling that TAG do no do follow up surveys to ascertain customer satisfaction.
They gave me a scented candle as a gift. Let's hope it works better than the watch.
