This is a replacement for my Imou 3MP Video Doorbell which unfortunately decided to stop taking a charge. The Tapo 2K 3MP is an excellent unit for the price. It does everything the more expensive IMOU did and more. Setup was a breeze, and it takes 7 hours to charge but considering the charge should last around six months that's no big deal. … Read more

In my case it had a 60% charge, so it took around 4 hours to be fully charged. The 128gb Micro SD card fitted without a fuss and the supplied chime paired easily. The unit immediately began updated.

The coloured light on the button can be changed and the chime tone can also be changed.

The unit can also be paired with a hub or multiple chimes. It was bright and clear with ample volume

The setup at the doorway was very easy and I did not use the supplied wedge. When checking the vision, it was extra wide, but the picture itself was a little on the bright side, a tone adjustment would have been nice.

It also has a spotlight and just about all setting can be adjusted to suit, actually I did not expect to have so many at this price point.

What I liked was the reaction of the unit, it began recording almost immediately and there was no delay in the chime when the button was pressed.

Also, it has prerecorded messages when the doorbell is pressed. A nice touch, plus also, you can take a still photo of the scene from your smartphone app.

There is voice recording and you can talk to the person via the speaker, but I always leave this off as I tend to get a lot of tinny feedback.

You have coloured night vision if you want it and you are able to adjust the sensitivity of the unit. Definitely plenty of bang for your bucks and honestly why would you pay over $150.00 when this does it all. All in all a very good unit, highly recommended.
