After a dozen hikes, it's falling apart :-( – One of the selling points of this bag was that it came with a lifetime guarantee. Well, I can guarantee you that it will not last. I've had this bag for about 3 or 4 years and have only been on about a dozen hikes. Some of the zips are only glued on, not sewn. On a hot day, the main front compartment's zipper bond went all gooey and came unstuck and the whole section of the bag has now been made unusable.

Up until the bag broke it was pretty awesome, very comfortable for carrying heavy loads, but I would have expected better durability for the price I paid for it.

Very happy with this one – I was using a North Face Crestone 75 which I purchased online - last time I'll make that mistake. The helpful guys at Mitchells Adventure in Elizabeth Street fitted me up with a Tatonka and I'll never look back! The Hipbelt feels chunky at first but distributes the weight really well and the material feels like it will last the ages, even after some pretty demanding hikes! Superior carrying system

King of the mountain!! – Have owned a Tatonka Bison for more than two years now and am still amazed at what a tough rucksack this is. Incredibly well made and up for any punishment, my 'Bison' has travelled all over Australia with me and survived many decent hikes. The carrying system is the reason I bought the bag as it was simply hands down the most comfortable bag and had the best weight distribution of any of the bags I looked at. Apart from a few scuff marks the bag still looks new as well. Great bag. Well made, great fit, feels like it will last forever.
