Builders Beware – Noisy. Doesn't pickup pots and pans (we even have ones with induction technology stamped on the bottom. No good). Particularly struggles with smaller cookware. Going to contact the builder (which I know well) and inform them to not install in any of their future projects. With no gas and 7star energy in Vic. Induction will be key in new homes and this product is not fit for purpose. They don't have any other models either. Show details

Just the worst induction – Just moved into a new house. Technika TGC9IND Induction stove top is junk. Any wonder it has been discontinued. I’ve returned that many pots and pans to stores it’s ridiculous. After running all the ‘tests’ magnets etc. it essentially means nothing. I will never buy a Technika product again. Not happy with this product – The Technika Induction cook top came with our brand new Dixon Home. Most of my pots DO NOT work on this cook top. fault with it they will charge a $150 fee for attending. As some of my pots work on all the zones, it seems having a service call is not worth while. I phoned their service department again today to ask WHICH brand of pots they recommend.....THEY DONT give any advice on this. The lady I spoke to said she uses Kmart pots and they work for her. Well I do have one of those and it also Does not work on my cooktop. So best NOT to buy this product if you have a choice. And ALL my pots work perfectly on my $45 Kmart single cook top that I take camping in our motorhome. Very frustrating !!!

Very poor service for a quirky product – I endorse the comments by earlier reviewers. This stovetop works well when it accepts induction cookware. The trouble is that it's quirky and unpredictable about the cookware it accepts. Customer 'service' was appalling. Even though they commissioned a report by an independent tradesman, when he couldn't explain the reason for the problems I was having they tried to suggest I was using the wrong cookware.

Says it works with induction pans but have tried 3 brands now and only one ring works – Does not work - brand new, have had engineer out who told me my pans were at fault - have been out and bought two other induction brands and it still doesn't work. Feel really let down by Technika. Show details

Terrible service – Purchase a new cooktop. Never worked from the day we installed it. Repair man come out to fix it. Still didn’t work needed to get a replacement part. Come back out with wrong part. I can’t recommend not purchasing one of these products enough Show details

Absolute Junk - Will Never buy a Technika product again – One zone never heated correctly from day 1, Then started short circuiting. Had to wait 3 weeks for the boards to be replaced (what they call elements now). Then when the part came in I had to wait another week for it to be fitted. Appalling customer service – I moved into a new house with Technika hot plate which had been fitted by the builder. 2 weeks later it blew the fuse for it each time it was switched on. Waited 3 days for a serviceman to come out and look at it. It couldn't be repaired and so they would replace it with a new one. That was 3 weeks ago and I have yet to hear when the new one will arrive! I have 3 young children and I am totally over trying to feed them healthy meals with no cook top. I strongly recommend that no one ever buy this brand! Huge disappointment!
