Tefal Heritage Pan - if you like exploding glass with your dinner and no real warranty on products with glass – Poaching orange segments on a very low simmering heat on my glass induction cooktop we heard an explosion and the lid of my Tefal heritage saucepan exploded all over the kitchen. One year and one month old Im fortunate none of my family or pets were in the environment. This pan was bought in Myer Perth in November last year 2018. It has been used three times since purchase. It has been looked after, stored on a shelf by itself, hand washed and never put in the dishwasher.

I’m ex hospitality I treasure my kitchen cookware and appliances. Particularly the expensive ones.

Very, very disappointed especially since glass isn't covered by warranty. Why have a warranty if you cant stand by your products? It isn't fit for purpose so why should I be disadvantaged because the product is not robust enough to be used to actually cook with.

I do NOT recommend Tefal as a result

A week after contacting “customer service” twice no phone call or response from Tefal

As of last week 14 January 2020 I have a replacement lid which Tefal kindly arranged. The process was rather clunky but I gather that was possibly because of the Christmas period. I do all appreciate the offer of a replacement lid but I am nervous given I was using the previous lid in normal circumstances that may happen again. Thank you for replacing the lid

Purchased in at Myer.
