Bought the Tefal Ultimate Non-Stick Induction Frypan set (30cm and 26cm) 27/12/2023. After only 2 years the coating has noticeably deteriorated and both pans have started to stick, even with careful use and proper cleaning. Eggs and simple foods that used to slide straight off catch, which is messy to clean up and is frustrating. See pics, the most used pan has lost its coating altogether. For a product marketed as “ultimate” with a reinforced coating, I expected a longer lifespan than around two years. These weren’t cheap, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect better durability.

Follow-up  · The pans replaced Kmart pans. Scrambled eggs stuck first. Stored in a kitchen cabinet, stacked with a cork protector in between them.

Purchased in at Myer for $142.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience,we’re really sorry to hear that the performance of your pans hasn’t met your expectations over time. It’s great to hear they performed well initially, but we understand how disappointing it is to experience sticking, especially with careful use and maintenance. We agree that you should expect lasting performance from a product like this. We’d like to look into this further for you. Please submit a case with our team so we can assess and assist directly: external link  Kind regards, Tefal Customer Service

I submitted a case as you suggested. Tefal's response to a coating failure after only two years was to suggest that I must have overheated, failed to maintain, burnt food in, or failed to clean the pans properly. These are frypans, not museum pieces. They are expected to be used for cooking and exposed to heat as part of their normal function. Rather than addressing the durability concerns raised in my review, your response appears to shift responsibility to the customer without any basis for doing so. That is both disappointing and inconsistent with the quality and longevity I expected when purchasing a premium Tefal product.

Hi, I submitted my complaint via the external link you provided. I don't have a copy of my submission, or the reply. It seemed like a standard response to anyone complaining about the durability of a product.

Stick after only a couple of months usage – Thought it could last a bit longer than the normal non-stick pan, but not as good as expected. Always hand sponge wash and cook it with the low heat and wooden spoon. However, the 24 cm pan started getting stick even you put a lot of oil. Sent complaints to the customer service but they said I over heated the pan (which is never) so it was not under the warranty.

Chatted with the friends who purchsed similar tefal products and they complained the quality wasnt as good as before.
