  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Another amazing product from Tefal – This review is based on a gas stove top. I do like the idea that there’s a red spot to let you know when the pan is at the right temperature and ready to use, the best part is the heat doesn’t rise up the handle, as I had a very old flat pan iron skillet that would always get very hot but with this pan it does not I’m not really a crepe fan, but… Read more

pancakes and pikelets are my go to for a quick snack or when you have unexpected guests over. In less than 20 mins I had around 20 pikelets (less in the pictures due to the fact that as soon as they were cool enough to eat they were gone as quick as I was making them haha) and I had many happy people who were amazed how quick and simple it was, no more dragging out the flat pan skillet which I have now thrown away. I took a couple of photos and a short video to show the pan in action, excuse my videoing skills I’m not a pro but I did manage to get a few photos and a short video of the pan in action. I planned on taking photos of the full batch of pikelets but as you can see they were a hit, not many left. I do plan on also experimenting and using it for more than just cooking crepes and pancakes such as omelettes and toasties and if anyone else has their ideas on what they use theirs for, leave a comment. Tefal are a great product though and I highly recommend purchasing this as your next gift, birthday present or just a gift for yourself, it’s worth every cent

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Very non stick very useful – I didn't even know non stick pans could actually be non stick but this is by far the best non stick pan I've ever used. I threw a lot of challenges including dreaded cheese and eggs but just wiped off! I initially bemoaned the idea of testing a crepe pan as I don't cook crepes and thought very one dimensionally at this. But I soon learnt that the… Read more

versatility of a crepe pan was far beyond what I could have imagined the heat dissipation is incredible and would recommend to any kitchen looking to lift their pancake or egg game such an easy pan to cook in and clean. I was testing this on a gas cooktop but imagine it would be a joy to use on induction

It does what it says – We've received one of these to review VIA product reviews ambassador program. We've only used it a couple of times as we were moving into a new place with induction and the old didn't have it. I've tested this against our Meyer Accent Series cookware and I did notice that this gives a little better heat distribution and that the noise… Read more

generated from the cooktop was a little less while using the non-stick crepe Pan.

It's been used for both pancakes and crepes that kids absolutely loved.

East to use, fast heat up (I guess anything induction is), and good distribution of the heat for even cooking, easy to wash up when finished (although probably too bulky for a dishwasher), I would say that there's a moderate weight increase over our normal non stick frypan, but nothing too much especially considering it has a relatively thick base. My only two gripes are 1.)It attracts a lot of dust and that doesn't like to come out. 2). I don't like plastic handles. It cheapens the feel. This rings true for this product as well.

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Great quality, fast heating and versatile – I’ve been using this crepe pan for a few weeks now and have tried cooking a few different things with it. I got the larger sized pan (32cm), but I think the next size smaller would have been better for the size of my hobs. The pan heats quickly and really evenly but with my smaller ceramic hobs it didn’t get as hot as I needed it to when cooking… Read more

some foods. I made crepes, pancakes, tortillas, eggs and other foods with it. They all cooked really well except the tortillas which needed a bit more heat.

I used the pan on both ceramic and gas hobs, I found the gas worked better but I think that was because my ceramic hobs were a bit too small.

Overall I’m really impressed with my first Tefal pan, I recommend double-checking your stovetop size to get a perfect fit but other than that I didn’t have any negative experiences when using it. I noticed the oven temperature rating was quite low so didn’t even try to use it in the oven, it wouldn’t be useful to me at temperatures that low.

Pros • Works on both ceramic and gas hobs well • Non-stick coating is great, very easy to clean without using any oil • Lots of useable surface area for cooking • Not too heavy • Great sized lip to hold in any liquids

Cons • Not really a con, but make sure you get the right size for your stovetop • Only oven safe to 175 degrees, so basically unusable for me

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Good quality pan – The pan feels like a well made pan. You can feel the quality just by picking it up. The weight feels sturdy but light enough to hold with one hand. The non stick does just that. After washing the pan the first thing I made was pancakes. They were easy to flip and cooked evenly. I did use a metal spatula to flip them which I know is not recommended… Read more

but that's what I use on my other pans. I cook on a gas cooktop and I did find the indicator not that accurate. It does say on the package info that it can be used on all cooktops but it looks as though it is made to work perfectly on an induction cooktop. I cannot comment on induction cooktops as I do not have one. The indicator is not something that I use as I know cooking everyday if my pan is hot enough and ready but it may bother people relying on that. The next thing I tried was bacon and eggs. My previous pan the bacon would get stuck and I would have to scrape to turn and this pan the bacon just slid off. I did always use a little butter when cooking as I just like the taste. The salmon omelette was next and that also cooked evenly and slid off the pan. Cleaning the pan is so simple since nothing stuck. It's a good size pan and handles do not get hot. I would recommend this pan if you are after a good quality non stick flat pan that can cook more than just omelettes.

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

A Tale of two pans! – Over the first two weeks of July, we put the the Tefal 32cm crepe pan to the test. The first thing to say about it is that it is solid...in fact, quite solid! It weighs almost 1.5kg, which does mean it is not super easy to handle on the cooktop (but more of that later). Anyone who makes crepes will know that it is very important to have a good… Read more

recipe, so it was just a little disappointing that Tefal did not include a basic but well tested crepe recipe with the product. Not to mind. So how does it perform?

This is where the title comes into play. We tested it on a gas cooktop as well as an induction cooktop. It is prominently marked on the packaging as being designed for induction cooktops, but suitable for all types of cooktops. One of its features is a thermal indicator plaque in the middle of the pan, which is supposed to indicate when the pan has reached the correct temperature for cooking the crepe. While we did not expect this to be "on/off" switch sharp, it was fairly vague as it transitioned on gas, and there was no indication given of whether it became above the ideal temperature. Using it depends a lot on the type of cooktop you have: On gas: As mentioned, the heat indicator is vague, and you really have to guess a bit to adjust the gas flame to the right strength. As well as this, because of its size, the thickness of the crepe batter is crucial: if it's too thick you will not have time to coat the whole pan before it solidifies, which will leave the crepe uneven. It does however cook extremely well in a non-stick fashion, and if you are proficient enough, flipping the crepe is easy. On induction: The packaging is prominent for a reason- the pan really shines on an induction cooktop, because you can control the heat so well. Once up to heat, it maintains it very evenly across the pan surface, and cooking the crepes becomes child's play. It is also a lot easier to spread the batter on the induction cooktop before it solidifies, compared to gas. On both cooktops, it functions extremely well as a shallow fry pan with minimal oil...check out our bacon and eggs videos. One thing I definitely would advise for either type of cooktop, but very importantly for gas...get yourself a crepe spreader from your local kitchenware shop: they make a world of difference in the ease of spreading the crepe batter, and I would say it is essential if you are going to use it on gas, because the weight of the pan works against you. This is an important point: if you are weak in the arms or have arthritis, you may well find it difficult to manipulate because of the weight. At least the handle does not get hot, so you do not need gloves or mitts to pick it up. The non-stick surface is brilliant: it cleans up with minimal effort, so that is a definite plus. All in all, I would say it is now definitely our preferred pan for making crepes, after a bit of a learning curve. PROS: Very good on induction; generally gives a very even heat; not just good for crepes; very easy to clean CONS: The temp indicator is vague and not greatly useful; heat control and batter thickness is crucial; a bit heavy to manipulate easily VERDICT: Recommended (with the above points in mind)

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Crepe Pan is tops! – This pan might be called a Crepe Pan but don't be fooled, it's much more and can be used successfully to cook a wide range of dishes on an induction cooktop. So far I have cooked crepes, pancakes, omelettes, french toast, toasted sandwiches, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, onions, chicken, fish, steak, plus some frozen waffles that were in the… Read more

freezer...all with yummy results.

Pancakes for breakfast are always welcome and this pan cooks them evenly and fast, so they are ready to eat by the time coffee has been made. Nothing nicer than a freshly cooked pancake topped with Choc Hazelnut spread and fresh strawberries on top...yummy!

The packing sleeve featured a photo of an egg wrapped crepe (see stock photo below) which I decided to replicate and it looked just like the original photo, was cooked perfectly and tasted just great. Egg-in-the-hole is another favourite and once again the even heat of this pan gives tasty results, last night I placed a slice of tasty cheese on top before flipping and the cheese not only didn't stick, but slid from the pan without leaving a trace. Some leftover Spag Bol was reheated in the crepe pan and once again, the results were great, so it's been getting a lot of use with a wide variety of foods, both sweet and savoury.

Like so many other people I gave up on non-stick pans a long time ago because they just didn't last and I've been using a polished stainless steel frypan, but it has been in the drawer since I started using the Tefal crepe pan and somehow I think that's where it will stay. The sides are low enough to flip food easily but high enough not to spill food onto the cooktop.

I always use silicone or plastic spatulas etc and this won't change and it will not be placed in the dishwasher...no big deal to wash by hand as the non-stick coating only takes a minute to wipe clean anyway. Overall I am really pleased with this pan and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone, it's heavy without being 'too' heavy, even heat distribution and super-easy to clean. Another plus is the handle doesn't get hot, so you don't need to juggle a pot holder as well.

So to sum it up....It's a winner in the kitchen which can't be faulted in any way!

No negatives about this 32 cm Tefal Non-Stick Crepe Pan – I have owned quite a few frypans of various types since my teens and this one, a French-made Tefal 32 cm crepe pan, is a particularly welcome addition to my library of cookware. Obviously the Tefal Titanium Anti-Scratch surface and the Induction base design mean that any recipes you try will cook evenly. The red circle ‘illuminates’ as an… Read more

indicator of temperature. The unique pattern beneath spreads the heat evenly across the cooking surface. I’m always wary of ending up with patches of burnt pancake on crepes. Each crepe has so far been a success, the mixture flowing easily and evenly around the heated pan and cooking quite fast without any burning. It is easier to clean than cast iron, won’t rust, for instance, and it doesn’t seem to burn grease onto the pan. The non-stick surface is safe for cooking (there are no worries with any of it peeling off as they did in the old days of n on-stick cookware.) The Tefal name is pretty much a guarantee of intensive research and development.

During the pandemic, I seem to have done more quick dishes than previously, and crepes have been one of my go-to recipes. They can be cooked fast, easily and they are healthy too if you fill them with fruit (berries) or veggies (asparagus) as well as the requisite lashings of cream or brie. Anyway, this pan design also means that all cooked food just slides off easily, whether crepes, hash-browns, rissoles, fritters, eggs, omelettes and so on.

The finished crepes slide out like magic. Washing up is a dream. I never use perfumed soaps on mine but prefer to use boiling water and if needed, a little Velvet soap which has no smell.

Size = 32 cm (a smidge over a foot wide)

To preserve your surface in pristine condition, do not ever use any metal tools or utensils on it. Make sure you have the silicone versions of spatulas. Then the pan should give you umpteen years of service. I have a very old model of this pan that I received as a gift and it still looks like new after a decade or more of solid use.

It is light-weight enough for kids who are learning to cook yet engineering is first-rate. The position and design of the handle make it user-friendly for small hands and it is solidly riveted onto the pan. It is the kind of pan that if you buy one, you will wish you had bought a couple of them so that you can churn out those crepes fast to cater for the whole crowd.

Highly recommended in any kitchen and you’ll find yourself using it a lot. Nice gift for cook friends as you can never have too many and at its price-point, it makes perfect sense. Good Kris Kringle gift!

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Good quality, even heat – This is my review of Tefal Unlimited Induction Non-Stick Crepe Pan 32cm 'Crepiere'. The packaging is difficult to understand because almost every bit of information printed on the front is in other languages. I had to search to see if I could find any English words. I think the symbols in the 'All Hobs' should be accompanied with clear captions… Read more

in English because I wasn't sure what two of them were, even after I searched the internet for an explanation I couldn't find these. Yes we do read the information on the packaging ! The packaging really needs to be improved so people in Australia can follow it, read it and understand it more easily. This pan is suitable for 'All hobs'. It's marked underneath with 'Induction Technology' although I don't have an induction cook top but I will be using this pan with my gas cooktop on the largest 13cm gas hob.

This pan looks like it's made of quality and it has a heavy base. It feels far too heavy for me to be lifting it too much so I can't be lifting it nor attempting to be flipping pancakes up in the air during the cooking process. ( This Tefal quality far exceeds my KitchenAid pan with 'Reinforced nonstick system, Balanced Distribution' ).

The Tefal information reads that it has 'Titanium Anti-Scratch, Durable Non Stick Coating '. Some people do not like using other particular brands of non-stick surface with their cookware because they are known for being toxic, however printed on the outer packaging the information down the bottom reads '100% Safe, Coating 0% PFDA, Cadmium, Lead'. I followed the Tefal instructions for use and care.

Since it is a French 'Crepiere' I thought I would cook something more appropriate using a recipe for thin French Crepes and French Toast from Allrecipes website.

While cooking over medium heat, this recipe advises to scoop the batter using approximately 2 tablespoons for each crepe. I also tried to tip and rotate the pan to spread batter however it was not possible to do successfully. Immediately the mixture ran to wherever it wanted to go before I even got the chance to tip it and the mixture/crepe began to cook far too quickly anyway.

Every time the wet crepe mixture just ran to the sides far too quickly for me. I wanted to cook 3 small crepes at once. The small crepes were definitely not any kind of round shape. All of the shapes of the small crepes were odd, some resembling the shape of Sumatra and New Zealand. So that was frustrating. I also tried making one very large thin crepe to fill the entire pan. It was too large to try and flip it over even with my widest spatula. The crepe broke up into pieces. I persevered with it. The french crepes tasted good served with a little Australian Blue Gum Honey on top.

I've also cooked French Toast with this Tefal pan. I used the 13cm gas hob over low heat. I've placed butter in this pan instead of oil. The French Toast cooked perfectly and evenly. I served it with a drizzle of Maple Syrup and a little sugar. This has to be the best French Toast I've ever cooked.

I also cooked an omelette with this Tefal pan. I did a little frying of some of the ingredients beforehand with the tiniest bit of oil on low heat. Using the 13cm gas hob, this Tefal pan definitely does cook evenly to the edges. I finished the cooking process in the oven so I can also brown the omelette on top. This Tefal pan is Oven safe up to 175°C.

I would've liked that this Tefal pan to have had a stainless steel stay-cool handle instead of thermo plastic handle. While using the largest 13cm gas hob, the heat distribution to the pan surface was even and that's good. I like to leave my heavy pan or pot continually resting on the trivet and hob while cooking is in process. For a brand new pan washing up was very easy by handwash. The non-stick surface was very convenient with no bits of crepes nor egg mixture sticking at all.

Is this the pinnacle of non-stickiness ? – I’ve bought many non-stick pans in my lifetime. Most (if not all) previous purchases have let me down. Their advertising of the ultimate lifetime non-stick pan seems to wash down the sink hole after only a few uses. Even the more expensive brands seem to come up short on their non-stick promises and I end up with what looks like an omelette car… Read more

crash rather than a golden smooth pancake. So now I’ve got my hands on the Tefal Crepe Pan. This pan is obviously at the premium end of the scale with regard to cost and quality. At first look, this pan is a piece of art. The underside is extremely well engineered and beautiful to look at, and there’s no more small stingy pancakes with its huge 32cm cooking area. Straight away I noticed the weight of the pan, slightly heavier than previous pans I’ve owned. This enables it to hold heat and also provides a more even heat distribution across the entire cooking surface. The end result is an even colour throughout the crepe. Now to the second most important part – the non-stickiness rating. Seriously this is a slippery surface. About as slippery as trying to catch an eel with oily hands. I have been using this pan for some time now and can happily say there has been no loss of slipperiness. They should have called it the Tefal No Loss of Non-Stickiness Crepe Pan. Five star rating from a happy pancake eater.

I love it and now it's my go to pan – Having thrown away many non-stick pans over the years, I was a bit sceptical about this large crepe pan but it looks impressive and Tefal claims it is made with Titanium anti-scratch non-stick coating that will last 6 times longer, and being a vegan, I was pleased to read it is recyclable and made in France. pan and although heavier than my other non-stick pans, not nearly as heavy as my cast iron pan.

I have been using the pan for two weeks now and so far, I have fried some crepes using only one drop of oil for each side, sweet potato flat bread without any oil and vegetable fritters also without oil apart from oily hands to shape them. Great results for all of these with even browning and delicious tasting without the grease and heartburn of the usual fried food. Best of all, just a wipe over to clean the pan, and because of the large size and even heat distribution, I was able to fry eight large fritters per batch instead of my usual five. Have a look at my photos.

Only negative for some people may be the price at around $100 or $75 when on sale but I think it is great value considering the quality and no doubt will replace most of my other non-stick pans if I continue to follow the guide for care and use and importantly enjoying the health benefits, tasty food and simple maintenance.

I love this pan and if it was available, I would definitely buy a smaller version of it. Being 71 years young and living on my own, I usually only cook small quantities for myself and no doubt there are many other people in my situation as well.

Just Perfect! – The Tefal Unlimited crepe pan is perfect. I couldn't fault it. It is the best non-stick pan I’ve ever used. this, I tend NOT to like the slightly oily feel of oiled pans in the cupboard. However, this was a surprise. The oil seemed to vanish as the pan was oiled. No oily looking surface! And after the initial oiling, I didn’t need to do so again. Perhaps after more use it will need oiling again, time will tell. The pan is moderately heavy, as it is designed for Induction cooktops, although it can be used on all types of cooktops. However, it is not as heavy as a similarly sized cast iron pan. The red circle in the centre of the pan shows an hourglass. When the pan is at the correct temperature, the circle darkens and the hour glass is no longer visible. The pan will make little "crackling" noises as it heats. I made my plain flour pancakes and they were perfect. Lovely even colour and they slid nicely on the pan when the under surface was cooked. You don’t need to relubricate the surface between each pancake. Bacon and eggs also turn out brilliantly. I did use a metal spatula to flip these. In my old pan, I would always need to use a little oil to prevent the eggs sticking. With the Tefal unlimited, no oil is required. The food simply slides easily when ready to turn. So definitely a healthier option. I also tried making a seafood marinara (two servings), in a tomato base. Although the pan is not designed for this I thought I'd experiment. I sweated garlic and onion, before adding the seafood. The large surface made it easy to cook the seafood evenly. However, the sides are too shallow to avoid some spillage when I poured in the tomato. Despite this, the meal was a success!

Cleaning is SO SIMPLE. Use hot water and a nylon brush. Minimal, or no detergent required.

Cooks evenly and very easy to clean – I received a Tefal Unlimited Induction Non-Stick Crepe Pan 32cm as part of the Ambassador Review program. timer symbol, to being completely red) to indicate it was ready for use. I also found it make a clinking sound as the metal heated, and I only had it on a medium setting and on the largest hob I have. The handle doesn't get hot so it's easy to lift and move around on the cooktop. I’ve used it to cook steaks, and there was plenty of room for four good sized steaks and they turned out really well, with everything cooking evenly. I also used it to make crepes and found the pan wasn’t too heavy to be able to lift it to move in a circular motion to have the batter spread properly. I didn’t try to flip them using the pan coz that’s beyond my skill level, but they were very easy to lift and flip with a spatula, with no sticking. I’ve also used it to cook salmon but found it splashed a fair bit and I got burnt turning the salmon pieces over. I probably won’t use it for anything that gives off too much oil eg salmon or bacon. I used silicon tipped tongs to turn everything to make sure I didn’t scratch the non-stick surface. As per the instructions, they suggest not to put it in the dishwasher (at least that’s how I interpreted it), but it’s really easy to wash by hand, with no hard rubbing or scrubbing required. Pretty much dunked in hot soapy water in the sink and wiped over with a dish cloth and it was clean. Obviously make sure it’s cooled down before you wash it. I’ve noticed though, with not too much use so far, there is already starting to be a build up of oil around the handle and the joints in the pan. The Tefal website suggests you regularly oil your non-stick crepe pan to extend it’s life. It’s definitely a handy addition to my kitchen and being low profile is easy to store in the cupboard with other frypans.

A pan of many uses! I love it! – The pan has a great weight to it and felt sturdy and strong straight out of the packaging. The cooking surface area Is huge, I was able to cook 4 decent sized steaks in one go! I know it’s a crepe pan but I’ve been using it to cook chicken breasts, steaks, pancakes, eggs and bacon. brilliantly on it, although it does take a little while to heat up. Pro tip - heat up on element for at least 5 mins before cooking anything. I love that once it’s heated the entire surface has even heat distributed through it. I normally cook on an electric fry pan and there is always that “hot element circle” that you need to keep rotating your meat onto so everything cooks evenly. You don’t need to worry about that with this pan, once heated - everything cooks evenly and perfectly! Chicken breasts were still moist with a beautiful char on the outside, steak was seared to perfection. When I made pancakes, the first pancake was perfect.... how often does that happen? This pan is my new “go to” cooking method for most of not all of my meals. Non stick and super easy to clean. Tefal certainly know what they are doing.

heavy weight, made in France with a safe non-stick coating (no PFOA or lead).

We have used this for cooking crepes for dessert, which all turned out great (even the dreaded first 'pancake') as well as making our own tortillas, which were fantastic. Both items turned out really well, the temperature gauge made it easy to get the temp right, heat distributed evenly and nothing got stuck on.

My fave part of this pan is that it is really easy to clean (I did not put it in the dishwasher yet as it's not recommended) and it is really easy to store due to it's low profile. Can see myself get a lot of future use out of this pan!

Large non stick crepe pan for big appetites! – My review is based on using the Tefal Crepe pan on a gas hob. First of all the pan itself has a good weight to it. not put this crepe pan in the oven. The directions do say you can put it in the oven up to 175 degree Celsius. Whilst I consider myself a good cook, I must admit, crepes are not something I make. I looked up a terrific basic crepe recipe online which turned out to be terrific. Before I start cooking or "creping", I put a bit of olive oil in the pan and wipe it off with a paper towel. I then ignite the gas hob and turn the knob between the medium and high setting, waiting for the red thermo signal circle to intensify in colour. I then pour some of the crepe batter into the pan and make sure the mixture goes around evenly to the edge by slightly tilting and swirling the pan. I leave it for about 3-4 minutes max then flip it over. As you see from the attached pics I made crepes with a jam filling & coating, ham & cheese filling and a Nutella filling and coating. All delicious! This huge 32cm pan is also very versatile. I also made bacon, 2 fried eggs and mushrooms with room to spare! See pic. It would also be great to do steaks and burgers on this as the base of the pan is completely flat, thus giving a great sear. My only negative is that the outside rim of the pan is not durable at all, unlike the base of the pan which is very solid. It can dent very easily. The first pan I received was badly damaged due to poor packaging. The replacement one I received was slightly dented on the outside rim. Place it carefully in your cupboard making sure it doesn't hit against other pots or you'll most likely dent it. The pan is very easy to clean due to it's very good non stick surface. Once cleaned, I coat it with olive oil and wipe the excess off with a paper towel and put it away. If you love making & eating crepes and pancakes, I would definitely recommend purchasing this Tefal 32cm Crepe pan.

It's so much more – It's called a crepe pan but it's so much more. I've been experimenting and yes the crepes are evenly cooked but I've also cooked fried eggs, French toast with cheese, bacon and lovely fluffy pancakes, all with excellent results. If you're like me, you want to know what happened with the cheese on the French toast. Well, it fried evenly with a… Read more

lovely crispy layer, lifted right off the pan, and the pan cleaned up perfectly with a dry paper towel. All of the above was done with no oil (however I did follow the included instructions and oiled the pan before first use). The handle stays cool and the pan is "light as a feather" so no need to have a cloth or a mitt near your open flame. I usually try to find a negative to balance the review but there really isn't one. It's a crepe pan with low sides so its hard to chase the egg around with a spatula to flip it.... but the low side is a positive because you don't have any difficulty getting under the egg in the first place. I'm happy to recommend this product to all the home cooks out there who want simple cooking and easy cleaning. By the way, I was given this pan at no cost to test and review but that in no way affected my opinion.

Fair Incentive Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Crepe perfection! – Back in 2014 I decided that I should take more responsibility for cooking. In the years before that we had purchased different brands of pans and pots none of which really lasted very long or stood out for their functionality. Anyway, I was in Kmart and the 28cm Tefal frypan was on sale. I didn't know anything about Tefal but I bought it anyway.… Read more

Since then it has seen the demise of other brands dispatched to the recycling bin but it has, and remains, my go to pan of choice. The handle never worked loose and the non-stick coating didn't wear out even with my use of a wand-detergent scourer (I never put my pans in the dishwasher). So when I was given the chance to trial a 32cm Tefal crepe pan I jumped at it! We regularly cook pancakes so this pan was given a thorough test. Like my trusty frypan it has the same hardwearing coating and sturdy handle. There is a red circle in the middle of the pan which changes colour to signal that it has reached optimum temperature. The non-stick coating doesn't contain lead, cadmium, or the other harmful PFOA used by other brands. It is well balanced and but it is heavier than our other crepe pans. We have two brilliant portable induction cooktops we bought on Amazon for $69 each which sit on top of our ceramic hob. They heat the pan up incredibly fast and are perfect for our new Tefal crepe pan. The advantage of induction cooking is precise temperature control. While we prefer induction the pan is compatible with gas, electric and ceramic as well. We still use coconut oil before cooking even though the Tefal has a non-stick coating. The coating makes it very easy to clean and requires very little scrubbing. I am now thinking of throwing out all our other pans and replacing them with Tefal - it might be cheaper in the long run. So in conclusion, it's a great addition to our kitchen and does what it is supposed to do very well. Buy with confidence!

  Ambassador Review Crepe Pan

Great specialised Crepe/Pancake Pan – If, like me, you regularly cook pancakes & pikelets, then you will find a dedicated Crepe pan to be very useful. Regular frying pans have tall sides which make it hard to flip pancakes with a spatula. This is why crepe pans have low sides. This also makes it easier to 'toss & catch', pancakes. The Tefal Unlimited Induction Non Stick pan is larger… Read more

than many crepe pans at 32 cm diameter & is very solidly built. This makes the pan heavier than many smaller pans, so tossing pancakes may be difficult for many people (including me!). Of course, being very substantial makes the pan more durable.

The heat distribution of this pan is very even, resulting in nice even color/cooking of pancakes & crepes. The pan heats up quickly & the Thermo Spot is useful, as it turns a solid red color, when the pan reaches the best cooking temperature. The non stick coating is very effective & makes flipping crepes, omelettes & pancakes easy. It also makes cleanup easy. I make it a habit, after cleaning, to lightly wipe over the pan with a paper towel & a little cooking oil. This seems to help maintain the non stick coating.

These pans are not cheap, but as with most things, you get what you pay for. So if you are a regular pancake & crepe maker, I'm sure that you will be happy with this Tefal 32 cm Non Stick Crepe Pan.
