A Quality Frypan – This is a really good frypan. I own 7 Frypans, whilst this may seem strange, they all have their own purposes. Omelettes, steaks, stir frys etc. I've rethought how I use a frypan since using this pan. I'm used to stainless steel pans, and one very small Aluminium pan with a non-stick coating. Though the coating is disappearing on that item as a… Read more

result of my cleaning habits. I exclusively use a gas cooktop (except for motels)- maybe an induction cooker would be a different experience, due to the finer control of heat. Other people's input would be good here to see what they found. My photos show the frypan in action.

The Pros: I use far less oil with this Tefal pan. It heats up faster, the coloured area means that I know when the temperature is good to go and it's quicker to clean. The weight is balanced nicely, with a well shaped handle that fits my hand and importantly, the handle does not get hot in use, due to the good choice of materials. The base is thicker than most alternatives, so that the temperature does not drop rapidly when cold ingredients are put into it and of course, the base does not warp at all when hot. Anything I've tried has fried really easily - beef and pork steaks, bacon, eggs and capsicums amongst other vegetables. The coating seems to be very well attached, other non-stick pans I've owned have shed their coating after a short time - my bad, I am vigorous on cleaning. The handle is well attached with big rivets, it looks like it will not get loose over time and could be "nipped" up anyway, since you can see that good materials have been used in making it.

A teensy Con (but only for me): The method of cleaning is different to my experience. I usually chuck everything into the dishwasher, hence my cooking goods typically get damaged. This pan really should not be dishwashed. However, given the coating cleans so easily, dishwashing really isn't needed. A light scrub with a plastic bristled brush with detergent, a wipe clean and that's really enough to go again. Whoops, I should have prepared (seasoned) the pan with oil before use, but that's because I don't read the instructions before use. D'oh. The instructions cover this step off more thoroughly online.

To summarise - a well designed and made Frypan, easy to use.

An excellent and versatile addition to any kitchen – I have used earlier Tefal non-stick pans before, so was very keen to try this newer addition to their range when given the opportunity as an Ambassador for Product Review - especially since I am intending to change out my 900 mm natural gas cooktop for a 900 mm induction cooktop. thickness and solid stainless steel handle that does not overheat during use. I have posted pictures in the order mentioned in this review. Initially, I hand washed the pan (from new) using a mild dish detergent, then a rinse under the tap. Since pancakes have been a family favourite for many years, I decided to use this breakfast example to show just how easy it is to do and end up with a sparkling pan with a few second clean-up (hot water rinse and wipe only), as in the second pic - literally as good as new. I did use a small amount of butter (for flavour) in the pan since I don't add any to my pancake mix. With previous thinner base pans on gas, I used heat and flame diffusers, but not this time. I tried both the largest burner (turned down from full to medium heat), then the smallest burner on full heat (marginal difference but slightly better as it heats from the centre and bubbling indicating ready to flip a little faster). For a stir fry I used Rice Bran Oil and cleaned the pan in the same way. Thankfully my stir fry tasted better than it looked, thus no pic. I look forward to this being my universal pan of choice given experiences to date.

The Perfect All-round Pan! – Before I start, for anyone wondering I have been using the Tefal Unlimited Premium Induction Non-stick Frypan on a ceramic electric cooktop. What can I say about this pan other than it has now taken the lead role in my kitchen. It quite literally goes from stovetop to sink before quickly returning to stovetop again, we don't even bother putting it… Read more

away anymore as it is used several times a day. The perfect allrounder, I've used this pan to cook everything from salmon fillets, fried vegetables and pasta sauces and it handles them all with ease. I've found it particularly good for medium to high temperature searing, a feat I've never really had much success with before in a non-stick pan. I love the high sides on the pan which make it seem much bigger than it's 28cm as it can handle quite a decent amount of ingredients without coming close to spilling over. Heat distribution across the pan is excellent and I've never experienced any hot/cold spots, always just even consistent heat from one side to the other. This can be attributed to the thick material and grid pattern of the base which transfers the heat from stovetop to pan quickly and efficiently . The titanium anti scratch non-stick coating is excellent and although I don't intend to use anything other than "safe" utensils with this pan it appears more than durable enough to me to withstand some occasional light use with less scratch resistant utensils. I can't say I've made much practical use of the "Thermo-Signal" heat indicator but it does appear to change appearance as the pan heats up. The stainless steel handle feels comfortable and the pan feels excellently balanced when handling on the stove top and I've experienced no issues at all with the handle heating up. Cleaning is a breeze and the non-stick surface is one of the best I've come across with nothing more than a wipe with a damp cloth needed to remove anything left in the pan once your done. Overall I couldn't recommend this pan highly enough. It's well made from quality materials, and it delivers a cooking experience that I can't imagine being beaten. I expect it will be in my modest stable of pans for a long time to come.

For the price of product and value proposition, its well worth it compared to more expensive options – This review is broken up into a number of different sections that will give the user (you) to use your preferred browser's "Find on page" function to skip to the area of interest. [The Summary] [The Product] [The Package] [The Pros(+) vs Cons(-)] [The Final Thoughts] [The Summary] This review is part of the Ambassador program: to understand… Read more

impartially whether this product offers value based on every day consumers; to purchase and to experience both in the short-term and long-term longevity; and above all else, more importantly peace of mind and satisfaction. So where do we begin? Why are you here? What is the main driving factor(s) you as the consumer are reading this?

You’re here because, you want to understand what you will expect for your money without being ripped off and disheartened that reading this review is going to change your mind about this product and more importantly the brand itself.

My partner and I were undoubtedly surprised that something like this really really works and performs better than its stiff competition to other brands that we own ourselves and are more expensive. For example, Essteele, Anolon and Scanpan.

The only issue, a negative one, is I wished it was bigger in size.

[The Product] In this instance, it’s a, not an, a induction frying pan.

It’s intended for cooking using through a non-stick proposition that competes very well against more expensive propositions. It is European-made in France.

[The Package] The packaging wasn’t very sophisticated, though it did provide the right amount of marketing material not to overwhelm what its intended purpose was alongside its features. If I were to critique it further, maybe something more contemporary other than boxed packaging?

[The Pros(+) vs Cons(-)] + This product surprisingly cooked faster in a comparison test with our Bosch induction cooktop and other more competitive brands as previously mentioned. We tested a range of different but basic recipes. For example, bacon and eggs, egg chive omelettes, stir fry meat and vegetables, and especially scotch fillet steak and rib-eye.

Though to make the review more scientific, we did not possess a surface temperature gauge and instead we placed our hands over the frying pan at 30 second intervals whilst undertaking a side-by-side comparison.

Noting from a SAFETY standpoint, putting your hands over the frying pan while it heats up? Should not be under any circumstances be tested by anyone other than an adult.

+ The competitive pricing in comparison to more expensive brands + Non-stick – very easy to clean + Excellent heat conduction, heat spreads out evenly, cooks evenly also + Compatible with dishwashers + Will not scratch easily + Light to handle, not too heavy

Cons - Small in size, it is relative, 28 cm for me is small as well as the depth

[The Final Thoughts] In-hindsight from our unbiased testing using an array of electric induction frying pans of other competitive and well-known brands. We did not have a convention gas cooktop to test this product’s claims properly. Overall, if you’re looking for something that is reasonably priced, genuinely European-made, reeks of quality and longevity; and also looking for something to add to your existing cookware?

I would definitely go and get it.

Though as previously mentioned, we both found the 28cm version to be smaller for our needs.

Well made, easy to clean, worth the price – I’ve cooked about everything I could think of in this pan and it has performed wonderfully. light weight.

There’s no PFOA, lead or cadmium used in making this pan, I consider this is important, those metals are poisonous.

The pan is marketed as scratch resistant and it appears this is true and if treated correctly I’d say we’ll easily get a few years of hassle free cooking.

The pan is dishwasher safe which is helpful as it saves time.

I’m pleased with this pan and believe it’s worth the price.

Good quality frypan – I’ve been using the Tefal Unlimited Premium Induction Non-stick frypan pretty much daily for a few weeks now and find it a great replacement to my old frypan. Though it is for an induction cooktop, I’ve been using it on a gas stove without any issues. I seasoned the non-stick coating with a bit of canola oil before cooking for the first time… Read more

and so far have used only minimal oil in only some of my cooking. I feel this is more out of habit however as the food just does not stick to the pan.

The frypan feels solid and importantly for me, the handle feels sturdy. The handle is wider than some other pans and I find this helps me get a better hold when lifting the pan off the cook top, especially when it is loaded up with a bit of weight. I was a bit worried that the metal handle was going to get too hot to hold but this was thankfully not an issue.

Cleaning the frypan is a breeze with a quick wipe over with a soapy sponge and some warm water as there are no crusty bits stuck to the pan.

The heat is distributed around the pan very evenly which meant I didn’t need to constantly move things like sausages around different sides of the pan to keep them cooking evenly. My kids even noticed that pancakes were so much better than those cooked with my previous frypan. The sides are high which were great for simmering down liquids in without having any spills.

Another great feature is the thermo signal in the centre which indicates when it has reached optimal temperature to start cooking. This took quite a lot longer to change colour than I would have waited to start cooking so I’m not sure if I’m always started cooking too early or if the indicator takes too long.

I would definitely recommend the Tefal Unlimited Premium Induction Non-stick frypan for daily family use.

Very slick non-stick – The pan comes in a pretty, well presented box. It is selling for around $90 in multiple different national stores. most comfortable in the overhand grip and the least comfortable in the neutral grip, but if you handle the pan with an underhand grip, this position feels fine to hold (see pics attached). The non stick surface feels slightly rough textured which I assume would help with the coating’s non stick properties. The red spot indicator in the middle is there, but is it of any use? Tefal call this red spot the Thermo-Signal and it indicates the right temperature for cooking, as is stated in the supplied booklet. For cooking, I wanted to test out the red spot as I have never had a pan with it before. I only use induction cooking on a high quality cooktop. The cooking zone I use is slightly larger than the pan itself, so I know I am getting full energy put into the base of the pan to heat the whole surface area evenly. I point my touchless thermometer at the centre of the pan to monitor the heat indicator red spot change colour to what Tefal recommend is the perfect cooking temperature. On the Tefal product webpage description section of this pan, they state the red spot indicates the perfect temperature for searing, which would be a much higher temp than regular cooking. The red spot didn’t turn solid until it reached around 230 degrees C. Other brand non stick surfaces, manufacturers recommend to stay under 500 degrees F, or 260 degrees C, as higher heat than this can damage the coating. But I can’t find info about the upper limit temp of this Tefal titanium non-stick coated pan. The booklet states that the pan can’t go in an oven hotter than 250 degrees C so make of this what you will. There isn’t much wiggle room for overheating when relying on the red spot indicator if that is your only go to. And this indicator is too high for regular cooking, with my own cooking habits. Most of my cooking is at a preferred surface temperature of around 180-200 degrees C. I have cooked schnitzels, bolognaise, eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausages, steak, and a pan fried toasted sandwich all in this pan. I never push the temp over 230 degrees C, no matter which pans I use. I have found that with any food items I put on this pan, nothing sticks. I have used it consistently for 3 weeks straight and it has maintained a great slick surface the whole time, and still continues to perform well after using it almost everyday. Eggs, both fried and scrambled were not an issue. Bacon did leave slight residue behind that just easily wiped off without a wash. Sausages did the same but was an easy wipe off. Pancakes were easy to slide my silicone spatula underneath to flip. Highly saucy dishes were a pleasure to cook. And the handle itself never got warm for handling. The heat just didn't transfer into the handle. All my appliances and cookware are always treated like gold. I have never used a metal utensil on any non-stick surface, including this pan, although Tefal does state that non sharp metal utensils can indeed be used. I always pre-heat the non-stick cookware on a lower heat before ramping up the heat. I even go as far as using a Chux cloth underneath all my cookware whilst cooking on the induction cooktop to prevent any scratches to the glass. I never use a spray oil on a non-stick surface, but only use bottled oils or butter. This pan washes super easy and quick without any effort when washed in warm water with a soapy sponge. Nothing has stuck to the surface or has required soaking. I never place any non stick cookware in the dishwasher. When I treat my cookware like gold, it lasts many years. My original non-stick collection has lasted just over 9 years now and still looks and performs as brand new. I see this Tefal Unlimited Premium easily going the distance when treated right. If I were to purchase new non-stick cookware, this Tefal Titanium coated collection would be on my list and strongly considered. I wouldn’t at all consider the product for the red spot indicator alone, as that just isn’t required for my own cooking habits, but for the build quality and outstanding non-stick performance, I’d definitely recommend the Tefal Unlimited Premium.

Great frypan. Superb – This frypan is amazing. I love this frypan and it’s very high-quality finish. Over the years I’ve been through dozens of nonstick fry pans and this one is at the top. I fry basically all my food on a gas cooktop and so I have a lot of experience with how well this frypan cooks. For starters this fry pan doesn’t warp when heated, it stays perfectly… Read more

flat. The oil doesn’t run to the edges or pool in the middle.

This frypan also heats evenly over the whole base. I often use a moderate heat on this frypan and the edges cook just as well as the centre where most of the heat is. I frequently fry cheese and it cooks very evenly. (See photo 2). Also the cheese doesn’t stick at all. If you’ve ever tried frying cheese you know how difficult this is.

Now about the Tefal red dot in the middle of the frypan. This little hourglass that’s black in the centre of the red is supposed to disappear and turn solid red when it’s heated to the right temperature to cook. This unfortunately does not happen. (See photo 1) I used lard in this pan and it smokes before the dot turns red. This fat used generally has a relatively high smoking point so the dot should have turned solid red by this time and it hasn’t. This is the only thing I would say is not working well on this frypan.  But if you ignore this red dot and go by the old method of catching the pan when the fat is just starting to smoke then you can use this frypan perfectly.

I guess the last thing to talk about is how long this nonstick coating lasts. As I’ve only had the frypan a couple of weeks I can’t actually attest to this. But I do know that the nonstick surface works brilliantly every time I have used it, even after I lightly burnt something in it. In the past I’ve used really cheap fry pans as well as other expensive fry pans so I have a fairly good idea of how they are going to last. I’ve had cheap fry pans that are barely nonstick even from the beginning. I’ve also had an incredibly expensive frypan that is supposed to be guaranteed nonstick for life. It wasn’t, and the non stick stopped once I burnt something in it. It did last well but for the price I was very disappointed. Also they didn’t honour their warranty and wouldn’t replace it. Not good.

So for now I’m loving this frypan and enjoying its even cooking and great nonstick surface.

One other thing, the instructions in English are incredibly short and brief compared to the instructions in other languages. I don’t know why this is. I’ve used Google translate on the French version and they’re far more instructions about how to wash the pan before use and also about lightly greasing the pan the first time you use it. This is omitted from the English version. I would actually have liked to have known that before I used the pan. Fortunately I did wash the pan but I did not likely grease it. I hope it hasn’t affected it in anyway but I think it’s probably only minor anyway.

Seem to be a good quality pan but time will tell – Was keen to start cooking with my new frying pan- ordinarily, I buy cheap non-stick pans and just replace them a couple of times a year, so this is a bit of a treat. It seems to have even temperature, but I am no chef and the cheap ones also seem the same to me. The one significant difference with this one is that it is a lot heavier which I… Read more

believe is a sign of quality. Personally, for me, when its full of food, it's really too heavy as I have arthritis in my wrist. I also find the odd shaped handle feels not very ergonomic but that could be just me. So far, I am happy with this pan as long as I dont have to lift it. I feel that the true test of a non-stick pan is how long it remains non-stick so I will come back and update later in the year. As a way to judge, I also bought a 32cm non-stick Ikea frying pan which I started using at the same time as this Tefal one as I often need the bigger size to cook for the whole family. These should get a fairly even split of cooking time so it will be interesting to see which one loses its non-stick properties first. As I said, I will come back and update in due course.

So its been a few months now and I have to say that this frying pan is wearing a little better than my cheaper ones. It is a little easier to clean and looks less worn that the others. Not sure yet if the much more expensive price would entice me to buy this brand but I will decide that when I see how long it takes before it needs replacing.

UPDATE - this pan is still going strong and I have no issues with it's non-stick surface. I do worry a little about using it though as a couple of times it has unbalanced and I just managed to save it from falling off of the cooktop and on to the floor. I feel this is something to do with the strange angle of the handle. It seems difficult to place in a balanced and centred position. Other pans I have had (and do have now) have never had this problem unless I accidentally bump the handle quite heavily, and these all have the handle at the regular angle. It's a bit scary when it happens as it always hot and full of food.

Update - the Ikea pan had to be replaced this week (with an identical one). The Tefal is still fine, although to be fair, as I have had to cook large portions over the last few months, the Ikea was getting used at least 3 times a week and the Tefal, being smaller, was relegated to maybe once a fortnight.

This may be because I'm cooking on a ceramic cooktop- and tbh, I much prefer my old induction stove at my old house- but for those of us cooking on older appliances, it's not as good as it could be.

I will amend my review when I get my induction cooktop installed- stay tuned for that exciting installment... but for now, it's a little disappointing that such an excellent pan in all other respects, fails in the one department that we really need it to work in.

There's just nothing worse than thinking that your pan is good to go, throwing in your stir-fry beef and then having it boiled because the pan cooled down instead of holding its heat.

I'd be happy to accept this is my stove's fault but I'm pretty sure that other people will have the same issue if they're not using induction.

It's a great frypan, except the handle is not comfortable for my slightly smaller female hands – I really love my Tefal frying pan except for one drawback, which is that the handle is too large for my hands. The frypan has a number of really positive features. It has a good depth to it, so can fit a good quantity of food in it. It heats very evenly on my induction element, and the base feels nice and solid, so it retains heat well. I’ve… Read more

been using it for a month now, and the nonstick surface has remained perfect, and I feel like it will last better than some of my old non-stick pans, and it also cleans very easily.

Tefal advertises their temperature indicator as a feature, and while it’s sort of handy to know when the pan has heated up by the fact that it turns completely red and the hourglass disappears, I don’t really mind if I have that or not, so it’s sort of a bonus extra.

The frypan doesn’t come with a lid, but it does fit the existing lid from my old 28cm Analon French skillet, which is also handy if you’re cooking something like an omelette, and just want the heat to be retained inside to cook the surface as well.

The big negative for me personally is the handle, which I feel must have been designed by a man. I’m just slightly smaller than average woman, I don’t have tiny hands, but the metal handle is too wide and flat, and not comfortable to pick up. It’s okay if I’m just holding it while sitting on the element, to stop it from moving, and it doesn’t get hot. But if I want to lift the frypan, it’s just not comfortable, even using two hands to lift it. The frypan is also quite heavy, so when moving it over to my counter to serve, if it’s full of food, I would also prefer to have a little handle at the other side of the pan, to help carry it.

So, bottom line, I really like this frypan in terms of its cooking, it’s very versatile in terms of searing, frying, cooking, etc, heats well and evently, and the surface feels very durable and washes well. But I’m not sure I would recommend it for people like me, with smaller hands - maybe try lifting it yourself in the shop, to decide whether or not this will be an issue for you.

stainless for a - hopefully - longer life and fewer concerns.

Update: 6 months later. Still great. No issues. Still like new, despite being used often and always cleaned in dishwasher which is rough on pans. Still feels lighter than other pans without any downsides. Overall is it the best pan I ever had in 25 yes of cooking? No, and it's not priced for that. But it's in the top quartile - for quality, non stick performance and being lightweight. Great everyday pan and perfect with 18 year old cooking enthusiasts.

My Original Review in 2 parts: 1) first impressions/week #1. Pan shopping can be overwhelming. I want something really long lasting so it feels high stakes to invest on the good ones... because it is hard to differentiate all the pans in the mass market. Plus all the headlines. Choices. Dangerous chemicals. Apparent dangers in non stick. Go for ceramic instead? Cast iron? Vitrified? So let's start there - this a non stick. What are the claims?

PACKAGING On the box ...In tiny green writing ... is the reassuring headline "NO PFOA's" . Ok Good! ( I would make that claim MUCH BIGGER on the box, due to all the current press on hazardous PFOA and bad "Teflon" ). As this is cookware for my whole family, absence of harmful /avoidable chemicals is important. If I can't find a safe non stick, I might as well go for ceramic.

To the PAN: For me the handle is the best feature. I like the thumb groove, and the handle sits higher than on my other pan handles - so the cooking area is now less crowded when I have 2-3 pans going at once. Also it's fairly light & ergonomic. Important- handle getting hot is not an issue on gas. ( Added plus, the metal handle goes in the oven if you need ). The trademark Tefal red dot heat indicator is very handy for my teens who are still getting the instinct for when it's the right temperature to start cooking. Compatible with all cooktops ( induction, ceramic electric gas etc ). And this pan conforms precisely to the 24 cm size, so my old lids work on it. Surprisingly no lid came with it.

Part 2: after daily use for 3 weeks. No problems at all. Appreciate the red dot more than I thought I would. Very slippery non stick coating compared to my other pans. Happy with it and dishwasher doesn't seem to 'dry' or damage the coating. Let's see if it lasts 5 years, which is how long my KitchenAid pans lasted (daily use) before losing their non stick qualities.

Note: For transparency, I was given this product to review. Other than keeping the pan, I receive no other renumeration/rewards. It's my first review where I got stuff free, so I am conscious that influences you even when you think it doesn't .

A good all rounder fry pan – We already own a few Tefal fry pans so I knew what to expect with the new one. temperature for use, 6 instead of 5 on our stove top so no biggy. Eggs without oil cooked into a rubbery texture and bacon without oil went pallid and burnt slightly on the areas touching the pan surface so I'd definitely recommend using a little oil with these foods. Onions browned nicely though and general the pan is of a great size and shape to hold quite a large amount of food. The sides have quite a high arch compared to our present pans so that made tossing some ingredients a little harder but once you get used to the pan it's not so bad.

My biggest issue with our present pans is the known issue with the centre becoming concave. Which, given we are using a induction cook top meant several of them no longer make contact so basically no longer work. I guess if I hit the middle with a rubber mallet enough times it may come back down again but undoubtedly the surface would probably be damaged so they'd go straight in the bin - one has already. It's too early to tell with this pan but I guess we'll see in 6-12 months time.

The handle does not get hot when used on the stove top so that's great. I was expecting that but was pleased it didn't happen. Obviously if you put it in the oven it would heat up. But I doubt that's a wise choice with this product. We didn't attempt that anyway.

Dishes cooked: Cooked breakfast: Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, etc. Yum. Fish curry: simmers perfectly and the fish was perfect. Fried rice: with a little sunflower or coconut oil the rice did not stick and everything was heated very well with a little agitation or tossing action. My leftovers special: onions, tomatoes, potatoes, sausages, peas and scrambled eggs. Perfect.

Cleaned it by hand as I don't want a dish washer to potentially damage the coating or rust out the bolt for the handle. I would suggest anyone buying this product does the same. NO SCOURERS!!!!

Professional Quality and results – The Tefal Unlimited Premium Induction Non-Stick Fryoan 28cm turned out to be one of the best. After removing the packaging, I gave it a quick wash. The first thing I noticed was it’s slightly heavier weight which is common compared to my other premium branded pans. The base is thick and the quality feels substantial. My first use was cooking… Read more

one of my favourites.

Starting with freshly chopped garlic - freshly chopped ginger - freshly chopped Thai chilli - Olive Oil - grinded Himalayan salt - canned Sirena tuna.

I use a Japanese Iwatani cooker (preferred over electric ceramic), and my cookers burner flame goes up and not to the sides. This can result in a poor heat spread over the entire base.

However, I found this not the case with my new TEFAL Premium. An even heat soon spread through the entire base of the pan resulting in an even cooking.

The non stick surface was clearly premium and was akin to sliding on ice. On my other pans, the Ginger, Garlic and tuna would often stick.

Once my entire base was cooked, in with the boiled spaghetti. On the highest heat, I mixed and tossed and again, the non stick surface did a full job and the quality just felt premium.

The pan handle is solid with a substantial grip to hold, and this results in a fluent non slip movement.

The base of the pan holds the highest heat, and I turned my stove completely off five minutes before finished. I found the base to hold enough heat to be able to do this. The results of cooking my favorite food was nothing short of excellence.

The price of this pan seems amazingly cheap, and considering it’s premium quality and feel.

Whilst the pan was slightly larger than what I needed, I notice that this model comes in alternate sizes which is a great option for those who need an entire new set.

My end conclusion is that I cannot recommend this pan highly enough and I give it a five starer without any hesitation whatsoever. A real game changer worth every Penny.

Just right! – We use ours on an induction hob and we're more than happy with it. Why you ask? 1.. The weight.. it feels about right with sufficent weight to ensure even cooking across the pan, but not too heavy to pick up and manouvre. Also, it heats up quite quickly. 2 .. The non-stick surface. We've cooked a number of different items (including eggs) and… Read more

none have stuck to the pan. It's wiped clean with a minimum of effort. Hopefully this will continue for some time. 3 .. It's usable in a hot oven. Perfect for the frittata! 4 .. The handle.. this for me is the kicker. The length, solidity, curve and concave shape of the handle ensure that it's not too hot to handle when frying, and also easy to pick up, as your thumb fits quite nicely into the concave shape. Very nicely designed!

I could also mention the red temperature indicator spot as a useful added feature. Overall, a very good product.

Love them - my default frypan - one longer term issue though – I really do enjoy - my Tefal, it is my default frypan. I do LOTS of frying and enjoy the quite fast heat up on a gas hob, and since the chunky base stays hot for quite some time afterwards - it allows me to switch off early; for finishing off sausages, steaks and chops. This is my second Tefal, the previous was part of a Jamie Oliver set which is… Read more

about 4 years old. The non-stick coating is awesome, almost nothing sticks - and it's really easy to clean too. The manufacturers do suggest NOT washing it in the dishwasher; something my ex-wife was never going to listen to. As a result, I do believe the surface life was probably shortened? With her now gone - this new one will ONLY be wiped clean and handwashed, to extend life.

It also features Tefal's patented Thermo-Spot temperature indicator; which allows you to preheat the pan until the red spot indicates it's ready and hot enough for frying (see instructions). The feature tells you when you can begin, enabling you to sear the outside, rather than adding too early and "stewing" whatever you are about to cook? In practice, since I have been cooking for around 45 years it's not something I rely on.

The previous pan did develop a longer term issue which I am hoping, with better care will not re-occur? The non-stick coating around the two rivets that attach the handle to the pan, came away - leaving two circular patches of bare metal. It is possible that it was a result of the dishwasher heat and chemicals, but could also be caused by the flexing of the pan handle against the pan body? Only time and care will tell.

I do recommend the Tefal pans, extremely good quality, modern style and appearance - but for maximum life please do as suggested and only wash by hand, it takes just seconds and - you will get lots of extra life from it?

Non-stick 2.0: This is the future of non-stick coatings – Growing up, non-stick pans were not a common thing. I still have fond memories of pots and pans soaking in the kitchen sink for days trying to remove rice and remnants of the roast dinner from Sunday night. By the time it would roll around to Wednesday, the last burnt bits of food would lift. Can you imagine a world without non-stick? I can't. … Read more

Where this frypan differs from other non-stick pans is the non-stick titanium coating. I couldn't determine if it's titanium-infused Teflon or a non-Teflon coating using titanium. Either all, where this new game-changing coating differs is how robust it is. We are careful with our other pans; make sure not to use metal utensils (wooden spatula, silicone whisk and so forth). Tefal states on their website you can use metal utensils with this pan. I wasn't brave enough to find out, and we don't have metal utensils. This pan will probably last a lifetime if you're careful with the utensils. I wouldn't risk using metal in here unless you have to.

We have a gas cooktop, so I cannot comment on its induction cooking capabilities, but this frypan gets hot FAST. Most pans will get hot quickly with gas, but this frypan seems to have incredible heat distribution (maybe because it's new). The Thermo-Signal marking turns red when the pan is at its ideal temperature, so if you're trying to sear something that relies on the pan being hot first (like a piece of beef), the marker will tell you when you're good to go.

Already, this frying pan has been put through its paces. So far, we've cooked an omelette in it, fried some eggs, bacon and the most crucial test of a frypan: a steak. I cooked an eye fillet steak in the pan, and like all good steaks, you want the pan so hot that it gets a cease and desist letter from the sun. The steak produced by this pan turned out beautifully. The even heat distribution and temperature consistency resulted in a nicely cooked steak. Best of all, you can use this pan in the oven. It's oven safe to 175C.

If you want a lid for this pan, I highly recommend the Tefal Multi Size Lid which fits perfectly on this pan (and every other Tefal pan). Clean up like a nice new non-stick pan is super easy. Wait for the pan to cool down and wipe it out with paper towel.

We haven't long had this pan, but it has already become our main everything pan. It sits on the cooktop and thus far has been used for everything we have cooked.

Really enjoying this one – I have been using this almost everyday, it works well on the stove top and also in the oven. The red indicator in the middle of the pan is super helpful to know when it's hot enough, what a stroke of genius that is. And true to its description their are no hotspots when cooking, I mean my steak came out evenly browned as did my other things I… Read more

made, the handle does not get hot when cooking stove top, so no gloves required which is winner because if your like me, when you start cooking you zone out and focus on the recipe at hand without thinking to much about if the handle is hot, but obviously it does get hot when it's been in oven and oven gloves required. I love the sides on this pan it's deep enough to do a stir fry and nothing escapes the pan when stirring because the sides are not only high enough they are also more straight up and down rather than on a angle like some pans have. Not a lot of oil if any is needed as nothing sticks, I used oil and butter just for flavour rather than to prevent sticking and tried it with no oil or butter and nothing stuck to the bottom. When your cooking , the pan just ticks away on an even heat no need to keep tweaking the temp gauge on the stove top which I find I do with other pans, with the Tefal once you set your stove top to medium it stays at that, I like how thick the bottom of the pan is and it's that that gives it the even cooking temp. I made beef tandoori, a plain omelet, orange crepes and bubble squeak, and fried eggs over bubble squeak, when I made bubble and squeak I started it off on the stove top to brown the bottom and then finished it off in the oven, all pics included for what I made. I am really impressed to have this Tefal in my collection, it certainly was everything and more than I anticipated, the only thing missing is it would be nice if it came with a lid and a lid that can go in the oven would be nice. Other than that, the cooking techniques you can use for this one pan are not limited to just pan fried meats and veg and eggs etc, try it in your oven with a crust less quiche or a baked cheesecake or self sauce puddings, its extremely versatile. Also extremely easy to clean, it is a tad weighty if your needing to lift it to scrape out something like the beef tandoori I made, I like to use a spatula to get every last drop of sauce and that's how I felt how weighty it is but that just means its quality.

A Very Well Made and Designed Frypan that will not disappoint!! – Well I have had this Frypan now for a couple of weeks, and I couldn't be happier!! It arrived very well packaged. My first impression was just how well made it was and I particularly loved the long handle (to keep your hand away from heat and splatter). I have tried 3 different dishes to basically test this Frypan out. These dishes were Bacon &… Read more

Eggs; Schnitzel and a Toasted Sandwich. All 3 dishes came out exactly how I had hoped. Cooked evenly all the way through and really easy to eat!! My cooktop is an Induction Cooktop, so all 3 dishes were prepared using this appliance. It did take a little time to get the heat setting exactly right but once I did the cooking process was so easy. I have had other cheaper Frypans and never really thought that there was much difference between the cheap and expensive, but I couldn't have been more wrong. This Frypan is extremely well made and should last for many years. The long handle basically protects your hand when cooking and is easy to hold and to move the Frypan around. None of my previous frypans ever cooked the dish through evenly but this one does. Clean-up process is quick and easy. Just let it cool down, wipe it out with a paper towel and it's ready to go again. I tried to find any possible negatives so that my review was well balanced and fair, but to be honest, I couldn't really find anything negative. Just a Well Made, Well Desgined, Easy to use frypan - Well Done Tefal!!

ITS AMAZING!! – The pan handles don’t get hot at all in the times I have used it and I haven’t needed anything such as oven mitts or tea towels etc. The product is a mid to lightish weight of a product, Considering it’s quality and size I would class it as fairly light. Show details

I'm sold on Tefal – I have owned Tefal's 28cm Premium Non-Stick Induction Wok for a while and it's quality and durability is faultless, so when it came to replace a non-stick frypan it was a no-brainer, Tefal was the way to go. Show reply
