Avoid at all costs – Avoid this company at all costs. We booked a game with them in August which has still to come through. We were told there was a delay to September, then another delay to October - with an alternative game proposed. When we responded immediately with questions about how to play the alternative game as it wasn't clear, we never heard back from them… Read more
despite two chasers. I reached out in November through socials to ask about a release date for the game we bought 4 months ago and had an extremely rude response back from them! I'm 7 months pregnant and soon won't be able to play this game as it requires a lot of walking. They completely disregarded my concerns and instead told me I was being inappropriate for questioning them as they provided an alternative (which we still have no answers on how to play).

Scam — beware! Not a real outfit – Can confirm this site seems to be a scam. I paid $86 for two tickets (I even emailed them before the event and received a very genuine-sounding response). Then we weren’t sent the ‘guidebook’ but still tried turning up at the time and location on our tickets. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. There was no one there and no more info via email. I’ve emailed… Read more
twice requesting my money back and over a couple of weeks it’s complete radio silence. There’s no phone number or physical address so you can’t take any recourse.
DO NOT BUY.
Complete rip off - AVOID – Paid $90 for the butcher’s ghost experience and received no info after paying. We had an unexpected event clash with the booking so reached out both via their website and email simply to see if we could reschedule to any other booking, and NEVER received a response. Might as well have lit $90 on fire.
Don’t waste your money! – Location change at the last minute, set up in a public park without council permission so police were called by neighbouring homeowners. $65 for three actors to jump out at you and ‘act’ out a story my 9yo could’ve told better. Minimal props (clearly purchased from the local $2 shop) and churning through visitors. The whole ‘show’ was… Read more
underwhelming, far from haunting and the ‘groundskeeper’ actually had the audacity to ask us to write a review in their comments book.
Imagine a low budget film, directed by 12yos using their pocket money - strongly suggest not funding this pathetic experience and save your $$ for an escape room or going to the movies.
The experience of toni and taasha – I just finished this ghost hunt with my best friend, we loved it had pots of fun. It was quite enjoyable, we got our guidebook Sent to us three days prior which it says in the booking conformation. The locations could have been better we were expecting really scary things which I guess it kinda on us for expecting this. We went in to a cemtery not… Read more
knowing we didnt have to so we were walking around exploring for a solid 20 minutes lol ! Over all it was very enjoyable and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We would like to know who created this ghost hunt as we'd like to say thank you and enjoy more ghost hunts in the future.
SCAM! – SCAM! Didn’t send through information after taking payment and haven’t responded to emails requesting refund!
Butchers ghost ghost hunt - don’t bother – Information guides difficult to follow, instructions are NOT clear, managed a couple of the things with guesses, ARLOOPA app does not have an arrow to follow, so guessing our way through the first 2 parts, then gave up, what a load of rubbish!!! Would give zero stars! What a way to make money with no effort. Feel ripped off!!’
BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM!! – BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM!!! We purchased tickets and were immediately sent a picture stating that we were booked in and said that a guidebook would be sent three days prior to our ghost hunt. We didn't receive a guidebook. We emailed the company asking for a guidebook but never received one so we couldnt do the ghost hunt at all. We asked for a refund but have received no response. Hopefully this review will stop others getting scammed.
Good grief – This was an absolute mess. I wish I could have given it 0 stars. Did this in London ontario. Most locations required downtown parking which we had to pay for and then realized half way that we could access the augmented reality parts from anywhere. We literally could have sat on our couch at home and done it. One location didn't work at all. None… Read more
of the iPhone in our group could access the app. There was so much pointless information. Just ugh. I could go on and on about how crapptacular this was but I'm bored just talking about it.
Cool idea and nice try but very disappointing – Done the rotorua one and to start we did not recieve the first information email to tell us where to start so we were late to start late to dinner, then both mine and my partners phone did not support the augmented reality which we had no idea we had to have in the beginning so when driving around listening to the story we felt like we were… Read more
missing out. Then we realised the numbers we had to call for part of the story was jn australia so extra cost there. It was a cool idea and cool story line but I felt like I wasted my money.
The Butcher's Ghost Wodonga – Very well put together, amazing story and well thought out. AR didn't work a couple of times between mine and my partners phone but we got there in the end!! Loved it!!

Beware – I booked one of their “shows” without doing my usual level of research and due diligence. The first red flag was that they provided starting GPS coordinates which were based in the UK despite it being a Brisbane (Australia) show. Then they rescheduled the show last minute due to personal circumstances. When the reschedule date approached, they… Read more
rescheduled again last minute.
This lead me to do a bit of online digging which raised some eyebrows for me. Primarily, that the business owner is the same as Nightwork Immersive- a business with a significant volume of [Content Removed] accusations against it.
I was able to get a refund, but not without a lengthy dispute.
If I could give 0 stars I would – I booked an experience with them on 3rd December 2022 for an event on the 13th January of 2023. 6th December 2022 - they wrote to update us that the time had changed, but it was to be held on the same day. 20th December 2022 - they wrote to say that they couldn’t access the site on the 13th January, and so our experience was rescheduled to the… Read more
4th February. Sure, no problem. 29th January 2023 - they emailed to say that there had been a death in the family, and as a small family-run business they needed to take care of things. The event was now to take place on 21st April. Unfortunate, but slightly suspicious. 4th April 2023 – they emailed me rescheduling AGAIN as they were “the victims of a major theft overnight, that has majorly impacted our schedule for the next several weeks.”. I replied saying that I now doubted that this was a legitimate operation, and requested my money back. They informed me that they would be refunding my money. 27th April 2023 – they wrote again to inform me that there would be a delay in refunding the money. “We want to assure you that your refund is a priority for us. We are working diligently to resolve the issue, and we expect to have it resolved within the next eight weeks. Once the issue is resolved, we will process your refund as quickly as possible.” 9th July 2023 – I emailed asking the status of my refund as it had been about 10 weeks since the last email. No response. 9th August 2023 – I’ve emailed them again and now will be looking into disputing the charges with my bank.
TLDR: No event happened, “rescheduled” multiple times and now they’re silent as I’m chasing my money, FOUR MONTHS after requesting it. No phone number for me to call either.

Dangerous and illegitimate – Apalling lack of safety considerations, terrible user experience, lack of access to locations. This is an incredibly poor service and I don't understand how it can possibly exist.
