Thomson TV is on turn off – You get what you pay for, I guess. Having said that the TV works ok but the remote control is a problem. Just getting the TV to turn on is the problem. You can point the remote around the room and it probably works better than pointing it directly at the screen to turn it on. Once on, it works fine changing channels etc. Turning it off presents… Read more

another problem. I find it works better if I talk nicely to the TV. Come on! I won’t be getting another Thomson TV.

You get what you pay for... Cheap Junk – I purchased this TV brand new. The TV itself is quite deep for a modern TV, it has like a box on the back, it was quite light but looked ok. I plugged it in and tried turning it on via the remote, nothing worked, I than changed the batteries on the remote, still nothing. I contacted the seller who said they will get on to Thomson to replace the… Read more

TV or the remote. Now over 3 weeks later I receive and email from Thomson requesting this, see below.

I purchased a Brand New tv that was worth $200, never worked from the day I removed it from the box, its Not a warranty claim... These are cheaply made throw away TV's, like many things these days But, Thomson wants me to waste more of my time so they can get their team of experts to review this and then advise what should happen.

This mob is based in India and there time is much cheaper then mine. The moral of this story is, you buy cheap junk you get what you pay for. Spend a little more on a real TV brand, and stick with a real shop front to avoid crazy situations like this.

Good value for the money – I bought the 40” smart TV and it has everything I need and easy to operate. However I have two problems. First is, I cannot change tv Chanel’s from the numerical key pad. They did work for a bit but now totally gone. Second is, the sound when on Netflix has had intermittent breaks that have now become very regular to annoying. Help. Show details

So far so good – I bought a Thomson’ tv from my local post office I bought it for $249 for a 40’ tv I didn’t need a smart tv for where I was putting it so was very happy to buy for this price, extremely cheap for a 40’ tv. Has usb and everything else you need to hook up a dvd or games etc. I am extremely pleased with this tv. Have had no problems with it but have… Read more

only had it for a month it is able to be wall mounted but I choose to put the legs on which you have to do your self it’s the only downside about it but it easy enough to do. I don’t often give a product 5stars but I am most impressed with this for its price alone not a smart tv but smart enough for me!
