Stay away from any tomtoms.. They are changing their products and no longer provide warrantee/repairs in Australia. I had so many problems with Tom Tom go. Battery failure, device fall down on ball, suction on clamp split, etc so many problems !! Stay away from this brand.

Faulty – Failed after 6 months, had to sent it off for repairs. Suction cup stopped working after 12 months. After 3 years the battery is gone, won't even turn on whist on charge. Show details

Faulty – Extremely disappointed with product. Stopped charging with supplied connector after little use. Now can't use at all. Customer support very difficult to get. I had an old Tom Tom and was very satisfied but NEVER again. Show details

Works as designed – The Go Supreme 5" is my third TomTom satnav in the last 20 years and this one is the best I've owned. The menu is easy to navigate (pardon the pun) although some functions are buried in the menu. The most important functions are easy to find. The voice instructions can be a bit iffy and often need repeating. This may be due to some of the place… Read more

names for many Australian towns. Once the destination is logged in, I have always found my destination without any issues. The internal battery isn't all that good.

I miss the go520 ...not happy with the supreme – Have been using TomTom for years.. The supreme would be my 6th Sat nav It's very sluggish, and very slow for a " supreme" Every week it requires a speed camera update Which is always out of date and is missing many. It's only 10 mb but annoying as it's not accurate. Every month a 110mb update is required for EV charging stations...I don't have… Read more

an EV... bloody annoying. The go 520 this was a removable option.

Sometimes connects to wifi and Bluetooth... something not..at least once a week I need to manually connect.

Sometimes auto sleeps... sometimes not. It will eventually turn off when the battery is flat.

But my biggest anger is that IFTTT is no longer supported...this was the reason I sold my go 520 and went with the supreme... As at today...it is still being advertised with IFTTT https://www.tomtom.com/en_AU/ifttt/ I was offered 2 year subscription to the smart phone app...no thanks I'll just use Google map

For the first time in years I will be looking at other Sat nav options that is not TomTom.

One last thing on Tom Tom Sat nav...it appears the new devices are not longer life time subscription to their services.. another disappointment...

Supreme Junk – This is the worst on-line purchase I have ever made. From the start (15 months ago) the directions have been wrong. I mean, major errors and not just the normal acceptable errors. TomTom make no attempt to correct them despite many advices to them. The windshield attachment (suction) doesn't stay in place. Parts have actually fallen off. TomTom… Read more

provides absolutely no back-up. I can't complain about the customer service(?) because there isn't any. The map correction page doesn't respond or correct errors. There is no phone number or e-mail address provided. They don't respond to (Registered) Mail. I've thrown the rubbish in the garbage, where it belongs. I'm using my smart phone, which is a cheaper option and much more reliable and accurate.

Regrettable Purchase – I purchased this directly from TOMTOM website: https://www.tomtom.com/en_au/navigation/car-gps/go-supreme/#6inch The item arrived before the invoice and tracking emails ( 4 days). Upon first use,it takes an absolute eternity to get through the many menus to set it up properly. Not a pleasant experience with the lag. It doesn't show a clock of… Read more

any sort on the screen unless you are in "route" mode. It also made errors with speed limits on many roads (partially fixed with a map update). The update setup was problematic as well, and took over an hour to setup properly.

The screen layout is not what I would call great, especially compared to NAVMAN layouts and colour schemes, which are far superior. (I left NAVMAN after many years due to their software issues)

Also, TOMTOM do NOT have a direct email for contact. I found this disappointing when I was looking for a way of finding out where my emails were.

Also, there is no specific owner's manual for the GO SUPREME listed on the TOMTOM site, or anywhere else for that matter.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this item. It is certainly not worth the $349 I paid for it.

A good alternative is the GARMIN DRIVESMART 65, which is what I run now.

What a load of expensive junk – what did I like you ask only two things it is effortless to put on the mount or take off and reports when I am speeding, but that is found all apps and devices that perform this function, that is it will let me know if I am speeding that is if I can trust the map, and I trust nothing in the device. What do I not like, well get a coffee and be… Read more

prepared to sit there for some time, firstly I brought this to alert me to red light and speeding cameras, what a pathetic performance I am lucky if it alerts me to one or two in a long trip, I would return this as not fit for purpose as this is what I brought it for.

I have had a few fines from the New South Wales government that is consonantly reducing the speed limit, there are many places that were 50/60K and now 40 K and revenue cameras are installed to monitor the area.

Next is another thing that I find very annoying there is no easy way to cancel a trip one has to enter the menu system and find it, it is not even at the start, impossible to do while driving.

It has a place on the menu to report mobile police and the like, once again not just one press on the screen but a long fiddle and by the time done one is well down the road,

And the menu system, not friendly at all, some things need to be put onto the screen for easy access.

My biggest gripe is the speed camera alerts, they are just so unreliable, I am lucky if the two in my are actually are reported, strange about 2% of the time so how could I trust this device.

I am now also running my phone with WAZE a fantasist app, but I was willing to pay top dollars so I did not have to do that, what a waste.

Great purchase – I've used TomTom navigators for years but when they stopped support for my old device I decided my phone could do the job instead. The problem was if I needed to take an incoming call I no longer had a map to follow. I also didn't want to get fined for touching my mobile while driving so decided I needed a navigator after all. comes with a magnetic mount and it's a breeze to take the device on and off. It's really easy to use and most importantly I can see the screen in bright sunlight which I struggled to do with older devices. Another feature I like is that it shows the speed limit as well as the speed you're driving at - has saved me from speed cameras a few times in unfamiliar areas. I was going to buy a cheaper brand but glad I spent a bit extra to get all the features I wanted.
