$3800 is a joke – They don’t advertise the price on tv shop ads on tv, not do they advertise on their website. When I called to enquire on price which was $3880, I politely said no thanks. He wanted to tel me that my gym membership wasn’t worth it in covid times etc as I’m exposing myself to health risks etc. I had to politely hang up after telling him several… Read more

times. I told him my budget was under $1000 and he said that price was 25 years ago. And now he has tried to call me several times which I have declined. Just leave me alone TV shop phone number in Melbourne.

It's well made and it makes you work – After joing a gym, doing 2 hours a day for 5 or 6 days a week, watching what l ate for 6 months and NOT looking like Arnie, l grew sceptical. I had lost weight, my bi's and tri's had grown but l knew it was going to take a while (my doc said 3 years) - dang! Then (unrelated) l cut my finger (4 stitches) and l couldn't lift - so l cancelled gym. … Read more

But l knew doing something is critical for retaining muscle as we slide into our golden years. Then my wife saw the ad on FB for the third hand total gym XLS that now glows in the lounge. I would never have paid the $3k for a new one, l missed the one for $300 and got one in good cond (some surface rust on the chrome) that cleaned up beautifully in 4 hours for $40. So what's it like? It's well made and has only been lightly used so cables, padded board etc are in pretty good condition - YAHOO!! I find some exercises are easier while some are harder on the same incline. There's instructional videos on YouTube. We got the"training deck" too (80 cards) which offers longer/shorter workouts and 60 exercises. You can raise a sweat in 10 minutes. I didn't expect my balance or coordination to be tested but kneeling on an incline, climbing on and off and reaching for the handles makes your mind work too. If you did 15 reps at gym you need 25 here to push your muscles to failure - but unlike free weights, gravity is a lot kinder on an incline. And returning to the start position slowly for each rep means your muscles get more time under tension and that's what it's all about yea?

Makes you look like Steve Reeves after only fifteen minutes a day...not – I am glad I did not pay full price for this thing. It is just a big cushion on rollers with pulleys. There ain't much too it. I picked mine up for twenty bucks at a local market. One you hook it all up, there's nothing more to it than getting on it and pulling yourself up and down. You see them on TV with, like 700 ways to use, but I have only… Read more

figured out about six, and that is fine by me. I have been using it for about six months. Has it done anything? Not much, but I quite enjoy using t. Shop around for a second hand one. Not many moving parts, so should last a long time.

So accessable and easy to use – So accessable and easy to use from exercise to exercise. Can keep flow going from muscle group to muscle group. Best money ever spent on a piece of exercise equipment.

Love this machine!! great for anyone – I love the total gym Chuck Norris machine! Great cardio workout, and not stressful on the joints. There is an attachment for more advanced work for thighs etc, and you can use it for pilates type exercises to help improve flexibility. The only problem that I have found with the 1000 is that for a taller person like my son the board is a… Read more ·  1
