Tramontina Grano Try-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Frying Pan, 26cm, 2.2L

Super slippery. I was surprised. you do need to get the temperature just right, and use plenty of oil, but its outperformed versus my expectations. Especially as it was the cheapest pan I found in Peters of Kensington - more on that later. Why go back to classic stainless? Trying to reduce the chemicals in our lives: avoid non stick coatings in general and instead of black plastics that melt or slowly disintegrate into our food, the idea is to go for silicone or wooden spatulas too. And no more plastic chopping boards - I thought it was all panic until I saw the fuzz of microplastics shedding off the old while boards. AND So... it's the first time in a decades, I've bought a standard steel frying pan. So going back I was shocked at how slippery and smooth this one is. And it's also quite beautiful compared to the standard stuff. The bonus is that because of the depreciation of the Brazilian currency this is exceptionally good. Value. (myer 50% off sales are the time to buy i guess)
Purchased in at Myer for $94.
- Hot Handles While Cooking: No
- Even Heat Distribution: Yes
- Non-Stick Longevity: Still Works
