1. Why did I receive a box labeled monkey bar reinforcement kit, but there's zero instructions. 2 why did I receive a shade cover that does not reach all 4 corners? I have moved it every possible direction and no matter what it is 17 inches to small. 3. What's the purpose of the adult bungee rope? The bounce swing came with its own attachment piece so it doesn't go on that. 4. Why are there no videos for installation that explain anything? No I will not email you and no I will not send photos. If I hadn't spent 2 weeks putting it together and hadn't thrown out the cheap boxes I would ship the whole thing back. Worst purchase ever.

Hey Hope, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had during assembly and the issues you've listed, I understand how frustrating that can be. I want to help you as best as I can, but to do that, I’ll need your order number and some photos showing how your set is currently set up.

I completely understand this can be frustrating, but it's the only way we can assess what's happened and, if needed, process a warranty claim to send out a replacement. Without both the order number and photos, I'm unable to move forward with assisting you.

We do have installation videos available on both our website and YouTube, which may also help with setup

If you can, please send the photos and your order number through to reviews@vulyplay.com. I’ll personally make sure your questions are answered and we work towards a resolution.

Kind Regards, Carlin M

Is it possible to cement the 4 main legs into the ground and not use the side orange legs?

Vuly Play
Vuly Play   DM

Hello Ashley, Firstly I am so sorry about the delay in the response time with your query. Unfortunately, we don't recommend as it is not tested and that would affect the structural integrity of the set, voiding any warranty on the product. Also the orange legs are for support and stabilizing the set so cementing it might not be stable and might lead to parts breaking or any damage or wobbling.

Hope that would help and answers your query.

For any future concerns/ enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us at 1300 667 514 (for AU)/ 833 333 8888 (for US)

Cheers, Yash :)

Hi, we have just installed our Vuly Quest 2 set. I watched my kids (6 & 9) play on it yesterday and I am completely on edge. When they use the monkey bars or swing, it wobbles. They want to invite their friends over to use it and I so concerned we're going to have a disaster on our hands! My husband spent hours putting it together meticulously so it's correct. It's under our patio on level concrete so you would expect it to be secure. I see from other posts that I'm not the only one. I contacted Vuly, they've said to send in pics/video which I will do. In the meantime, I am going to also contact their installation provider, Auswide Assembly for a quote to have it looked at. Any one else in the same boat recently and had any luck?

I am looking ay buying this. How secure is this in the ground? I live in a hurricane prone zone so I have concerns.

Vuly Play
Vuly Play   DM

Hello Sherri! The Monkey Bars and Swingset products are anchored down by steel anchoring pegs that go through the feet into the grass. In regards to anchoring during a storm/harsh weather. We would recommend firstly to always dismantle the product to ensure the safety and structure of the product are not affected. Otherwise, ensure all the accessories and shade cover are removed and use ratchet straps or sandbags to further stabilise the product.

For some reason we can't seem to get the shadecloth to attach to the four highest points on the Quest XL, three get on fine, but the fourth point seems to be 1-2 inches short, have tried manipulating the frame, rotating the shadecloth, and still no fourth attachment, any ideas for a fix?

Hi there!

Are you able to please send us an email to reviews@vulyplay.com, along with your order number and photos of the shade cover attempted to be attached to the quest, as well as overall photos on each side of the quest?

Cheers, Taylah

Hi Everyone! Looking to purchase XL monkey bars set but from reviews I'm still unsure. 5 kids will be using this set and the common thing that keeps coming up is "swaying". Even with extra anchor can this be rectified? Kids are 4,6,7,8,9 Thankyou

I have a 5 and 7yo who love their monkey bars, has been used the most out of anything we have ever got them. I have it anchored with pins to the grass and it’s never lifted in the years we’ve owned it but there is some flex and movement when they are really pushing hard. I cannot be sure but I’d think with 5 kids you should bolt to concrete ground supports. I would think any brand you would buy would require this. I was talking to one client who had his kids set custom made and installed from someone who makes commercial playgrounds. His kids are now adults and professional athletes and he said the set is still like new! I’d be asking Vuly direct and be guided by their reply.

Thanks so much for your reply! Appreciate your honesty. Yes I would be buying instantly with 2-3 kids although expecting some sway regardless. 5 kids are very different I know especially similar age groups. I will contact Vuly. Cheers again. The kids love their Vuly trampoline thought I'd expand the range in the backyard lol

How much should the bars shake and wobble after installation?

Buy Well
Buy Well

I would say this would depend on what ground you have them on. Ours is on grass, very firm clay base though. We have had them up for around 12 months and when our 4 and 6yo are swinging around on them there is some movement but this hasn't got worse over time so may be normal. I too was a little worried about how they will go as they get heavier. They would definitely not take adult weights me thinks. Apart from that the orange paint has faded a lot in the sun but everything else holding up well.

Vuly Play
Vuly Play   DM

Hi Mick! It is normal to have slight movement on the monkey bars! We ask the customer to ensure the product is set up on the level ground, all the bolts are tightened and anchor pegs are inserted fully into the ground.

However, feel free to send across a video of the monkey bars in use to reviews@vulyplay.com and we can assess this further for you!

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our team on 1300 667 514.

Our vuly quest has so much movement the kids can't use it. Everything has been tightened and still comes undone. I wish we didn't buy it.

Vuly Quest Large (including Flying Fox)

How much movement of the assembled product is considered acceptable? Some movement is necessary but our Quest seems to move/wobble excessively when in use. It is installed correctly.

Interested to know how much movement others with the same product have and possible solutions to reduce.

Not too much, push in the four orange supports to make it more stable

TaS
TaS

Thank you. When you say push in the four orange supports do you mean into the ground?? The orange supports are anchored into the ground as far as possible and tightened to the frame as much as possible. As soon as someone goes on it it sways and wobbles.

I have the exact same problem. Way too much movement when the kids use the rings or go across the bars. Looks like it’s going to break

TaS

I’m sorry to hear that, but kind of relieved someone else has the same problem (I don’t mean that in a bad way). I have been fighting tooth and nail for weeks still with Vuly. Only last week two major joins completely came undone while only one of my boys was on it (he barely weighs 30kg). Also, we purchased a swing with it, which unclips and falls off when in use. I ended up lodging a complaint with consumer affairs in my state because Vuly stopped answering my queries. Vuly suggested all kinds of fixes, none of which work. After I lodged this complaint within 3 days I had someone from Vuly’s legal department contact me to advise they would arrange for one of their installers to come and look at it (I had asked for this app along). They are coming tomorrow, so I may be able to give you some answers then too.

Nathan

Hi TaS. How did you go?

TaS
TaS

Hi Nathan, Well, we finally have a very sturdy and much loved set of monkey bars. The installer came out and what he ended up doing was, took it apart and the main orange section that has the actual monkey bars on it, he flipped it over reassembled it and that made all the difference.

What is frustrating about this is that, this was the opposite to the installation instructions so my husband had not assembled it wrong which we knew but at least it was validation to us that we weren’t insane.

The installer called the assembly instructions “rubbish” and said the only way he figured out this fix was from trial and error. Apparently not all sets do it but the ones that do wobble, are fixed by this one simple manoeuvre.

I gave this exact feedback to Vuly afterwards when they followed up on the outcome and they said they will forward to their design team. Hopefully they do. I told them it should be in the instructions as a “trouble shooting tip”.

Happy to PM pictures to you via FB if it will help you compare yours to ours. Nothing worse than spending big bucks on something and it being a piece of unused rubbish. It was a shame I had to get the consumer protection involved but once they were in the picture everything was sorted out very quickly....ironically!!

Cheers.

Hi Tas, we just assembled ours yesterday and have the same problem. I am so disappointed in the terrible instructions. We will try this fix. They haven't fixed their design/instructions. I will contact Vuly.

Hi Lauren, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and I apologise for the issues that you have been experiencing. If you could please send an email to reviews@vulyplay.com, along with your order number, I will organise for a service manger to assess your Quest ASAP.

Again I do apologise for any inconvenience.

We have the same issue. The instructions are very unclear, we watched the video & followed the instruction book and found they were totally different, we had to undo and redo several steps over again, then when we finally finished we were very disappointed with the amount of wobble it has :( any hints or tips to fix would be much appreciated!

Courtney L.

Just finished setup today after roughly 12 hours total spent trying to assemble over three different days. Ours was missing several parts, which was frustrating in and of itself, but the instructions were horrible. I hired a professional handyman to work with me, and we had to go back and redo many items due to very poor and unclear instructions. Now the monkey bars are up and it’s very wobbly. I’m so bummed. So much money and so much time only for it to be unnervingly wobbly. My handyman stated that the folks at Vuly “must be into torture.” We are in the U.S.
