This is a really disappointing product. In my opinion this is the worst performing "gadget" that I have purchased in the last 10 years. It is just terrible and something that I would expect from Temu and not a reputable brand. I now use a Garmin watch as the Wahoo is too unreliable. The Wahoo regularly doesn't pick up GPS for up to 5km into the ride. I now only really use it as a cadence meter as I have the pedal interface which works well. The Garmin watch in comparison has been 100% reliable, so I would assume that the Garmin Bike computer would be a better alternative than a Wahoo product. Just give it a miss or be happy throwing your money away. Note also that unless you have perfect vision the LCD screen buttons for start, pause, stop etc are very very hard to read and there doesn't seem to be any logic in how they display. All in all I would think that a 1 star rating is probably too high.

Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM bicycle computer – The computer regularly doesn't display speed and distance travelled until a few kilometres into the ride. It also regularly misses logging large parts of my ride and shows a blank partial-ride route when uploaded to my mobile phone. The software on my phone also regulary doesn't show the map with route. It will just show a blank window with the a continuous 'busy' animation in the middle of the window where the map should be. To wrap up... This computer is basically a large, overpriced clock but fortunately it interfaces with my Garmin car radar, making it useful until the Garmin phone app will run in the background (as the focus needs to be on the e-bike app to show power, cadence, speed & range) with presettable visual and/or audible alarms. I hope an update fixes this problem at some stage but as it was likely an update that caused this problem (unit worked fine when I first purchased it). An automatic update on 12th March 2025 seems to have fixed the GPS issues causing the speed & distance to remain unavailable kilometres into the ride. I have tentatively added one star for this fix. The busy cursor is still occupying the map in the Android app. Another annoying trait is the time the unit takes to boot into its main screen. It can also take an annoying amount of time to recover the ride being continued after a power down. Edit 27Apr25: After changing to a new phone the rides I renamed have all reverted to "Cycling". We had better add 'very sloppy software testing' to the litany of issues!

It is now 27Feb2026 and the unit doesn't register the first 2kms of my ride. It just beeps when the garmin car radar detects cars coming up behind. That's the limit of its usefulness.
