  My Book

Do not buy WD product MyBook drives – My Book drive is slow and unresponsive. Especially when the drive is nearing capacity. I received the drive with some missing information such as the 9 digit code so that I could access the drive in Mycloud. Contacted support and they wanted me to return the drive because of the missing 9 digit code. That was the only option, but I purchased the drive from the USA and I live in Australia. It had a better value for money doing it this way. I was not prepared to transfer 7TB of data off the drive and pay for shipping the drive to the USA. Won't support WD anymore. How about a little bit of quality control so that the customer gets what they paid.

Purchased in at Amazon for $228.60.

Not Plug n Play – I think most people would expect to plug in these external drives and be on their way. This WD is not that. If you use it as it comes out of the box your computer won't reboot. You may need to reformat the hard drive from exFAT to NFTS. A couple of hours of trying to reboot my computer, unplugging all USB connections and reconnecting them one by one until the culprit was found. Then searching the internet for a reason. Then the reformatting and then another reboot. If I'd loaded anything onto the drive before I discovered this I would have to load it all again. Ridiculous.
