This appliance has not lasted very well at all – In July 2021 I bought the Westinghouse 86L Bar Freezer WFM0900WD. It worked fine for about 12 months or so, and I did all the right things, defrosting every six months, and making sure the door was properly closed. Some weeks ago, I noticed that the lowest drawer did not seem as cold as the middle and top drawers, and the lowest drawer is where I store frozen vegetables and frozen chips. Over the next few weeks, the lower part of the freezer seemed to get warmer, to me it seemed about the temperature of the inside of a refrigerator. Not exactly a good temperature for a freezer. As it was due to be defrosted, I defrosted the freezer, switched it off and unplugged it, left the door ajar and removed all food to the fridge, and removed the drawers. When it was fully defrosted, I wiped it out, removed the tray that I had put at the bottom to catch the water, re-plugged it and switched it on, and replaced all the food. As a test, I left the lowest drawer empty except for a freezer pack to see if that would freeze. I checked the next morning, but that freezer pack had not frozen, and I was not terribly impressed. I also had to throw out the packets of vegetables and chips, the vegetables were rotten and the chips were mouldy. I am very disappointed with this appliance and will not be recommending it to anyone. To me, it was a waste of my money.

Purchased in at The Good Guys, Campbelltown for $519.

Poor Quality Freezer – I purchased this freezer on 10/9/21 for $530 from Harvey Norman and for the first few months it worked quite well except for the loud clicking noise on start up about every 10 minutes. I did notice that the top draw had quite a lot frost on the front of it when I was going to place food in it on 12/4/22 and I thought then that perhaps the door seal was not sealing properly at the top and the freezer was empty prior to this. On 17/4/22 the freezer was frozen up severely all through it and the top draw could not be moved. The items in the top , the second draw and the third draw were also covered in thick frost and I had only placed 5 loaves of bread and 14 small frozen meals that my sister had cooked for me in the freezer on 12/4/22. As I had not heard the loud clicking noise for a few days it was apparent the compressor had been continually running for a considerable period non stop. The door was closed and not ajar and checking on other websites reviews including appliance retailers that there is problems with this model Westinghouse Freezer. I have had to throw out most of the food as it had become unfrozen or was partially frozen and I have now defrosted the Freezer and cleaned it and lodged a service request with Harvey Norman today. I have done the paper test placing the paper around the edges of the freezer where the seal contacts and pulling it out and it is very apparent the seal is not air tight. Another poor quality Electrolux product. At Harvey Norman today I checked 2 other brand small upright freezers and doors on them were very tightly sealed.
