Wireless controller for winners!I purchased a black controller when I purchased my original 360 - just wanted to be like the cool kids...
Anyhow near 6 years later the controller is still working great! When I sit it stationary - the left hand user axis control for looking up & down moves up by itself (on screen the character / aim looks up slowly) so I'll take that as wear and tear after all that use - but in all its my favourite controller just like a well worn pair of shoes or jumper! These controllers are the third instalment of Microsoft's XBox controller series XBox ... Read more1 had two revisions and XBox 360 has been stable so far with no revision to dimensions only its aesthetics. The controllers feel comfortable and natural in my hands and I rarely feel any discomfort as I feather them rather than clutch them tightly. You can buy a 'chat pad' for these that clips onto the bottom and this had a full QWERTY pad that allows you to chat to others while playing or after - sure makes a hell of a difference rather than navigating the screen with your controller!!! I've stripped and cleaned my personal favourite controller, and lubricated it both internally and around the dual axis controls with silicone spray and teflon infused silicone grease in the duel axis control shrouds (where they rub and bind usually) and find that I don't get any bind and white powdery substance like on other controllers that I have seen, my controller is notably smoother and faster than my mates controllers due to some care and service. And due to this I have done quiet a few services since then for other people and their controllers. I use Energizer Lithium batteries in my controllers that make them far lighter and easier to handle for longer periods and they do last a hell of a lot longer than NiMh batteries and the replacement battery packs or even those heavily marketed "super heavy duty alkalines" which tend to get chewed up after less than a weekend's use. When using rechargeable batteries I go for the 2600mAh NiMh's which seem to last far longer than others - but this is a secondary choice to my Lithiums! Always keep a spare set of batteries at hands reach!!! Otherwise - these controllers are bombproof! Been dropped, kicked and my old console which the other half has in the lounge room has had its controller chewed on by pets and kids and survived well... NO doubt everyone has a personal story behind their own controller and how they've survived! Light, strong, ergonomic, will last a lifetime if looked after! Could do with dimly lit buttons for night time use.
GoodThe Xbox 360 wireless controller is a great product, a must-have for all Xbox 360 owners, but if you are planning on getting this, make sure that you also get the Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack.
The Xbox 360 wireless controller is a great step up from the average wired Xbox 360 controller, because it is just so much more convenient than having wires getting tangled, every time someone walks past the television. When combined with the Xbox 360 battery pack, you don't even need to worry about buying batteries for the controller all the time.
The major downside of the Xbox 360 wireless controller is that it chews through batteries at an alarming rate, if you don't buy the Xbox 360 battery pack. Show reply
OKi got my wireless with my xbox 360 and they are a whole lot better than the wired ones, you can move freely and not worry about any one tripping over the cords, the big down side i noticed though is that they came with rechargeble batteries but didnt come with any sort of charger so once the batteries went dead they would need to be replaced,so i went to see how much it would be for a charger and its around $30
really great controller,no messy leads anymore that people would always seem to trip over
they should automatically come with chargers
GoodGreat design, comfortable to hold, good range to play, price may be a problem but for real gamers it would not be a problem, great addition to the console.
The fact that it is wireless makes it easier to play games, not constantly being halted in your gameplay since a sibling tripped over the cord, easy to hold with nice button placement.
It is a problem that the battery life isn't spectacular, and that you have the choice of buying new batteries all of the time, getting a charger or buying the xbox battery pack. Maybe a fair bit on the expensive side.
ExcellentI would not live without this one, no wires means more fun. Easy to store, no trying to untangle the wires, overall I love it
Wireless, I love mine, worth the money
Yep battery life, I use the li batteries, but still have to keep buying new ones
GoodThe XBox 360 wireless controller makes it more fun to play games as you are not restricted to the cord's length. It's easy when you have friends over so you don't need to untangle cords and instead just pick up a controller.
Extremely cool and sleek looking design. Is wireless so there's no cords dangling around the room. The button layout is much better than the previous XBox controller because it's buttons are more closer to your fingertips so you can access them faster. There's an XBox 360 symbol in the middle of the controller and a ring of... Read more lights around the symbol when it's turned on. The light indicates what player you are(1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) and the ring flashes when there's low bettery for the controller which is a good warning. Since the controllers are wireless you have to keep buying new rechargeable batteries each time the previous batteries go flat, or you can buy a controller recharger . Sometimes controllers turn off by themselves when it still has high battery life.
OKThe controller is ok, but nothing spectacular. They seemed to copy the Playstation idea with four buttons on the back of the controller. It's good but nothing spectacular since the price is way too expensive. $79 is a bit pricey.
Simple and easy to use. Buttons are placed in an appropriate manner.
The fact that rechargeable batteries aren't included or a charger. That means you'll need to spend $5 every month for a new set of batteries or pay $40 for a charger with batteries. Also the price of the controller is too high for what you get.
Goodoverall I like it because it was 50 percent of, other people should realy get this cool control this control is cool realy beter than all the others.
I like this control becaus all of the other controls dont move well and I like it also is wireless and the buttons dont get jamed.
it is way to small but its cool. and I dont like the diffrencess of the 360 control. xbox 360 controls very very very very cool but diffrent. Its realy cool thay should make much better colours like silver and gold it would make it so better.
Goodthe wireless contro is great, its a great accessorie that you can buy for your xbox 360 console. I would have to say that its awesome.
The xbox 360 wireless control is great. Firstly, its wireless, that means you can play without those anoying cables in your view or in the way. You can also play up to about 30 feet away. The black and whit buttons witch are normaly on a xbox 1 control on the front, on the 360 control the black and white buttons are on the top, where usualy your index fingers would go. The control also has fancy LED's witch show... Read more how many players there are and also a button where you can turn the console on with the control. only a few things wrong with the control. Firstly when your running wireless, it needs power, so when its flat youl have to recharge the batteries or plug the extended power cable in. Secondly, if you have small kids, they can throw the control around or even steal it.
