GARBAGE! Purchased a few years ago from Supercheap, stored dry, clean & in it's bag (still looks like brand new). Dead after just short 2 uses in that time! Absolute waste of money, I will never buy any 'XTM' garbage, ever again! FOLLOW UP: When I declared this thing dead, I had extensively tested it over & over to check that power was in… Read more
fact being recieved by both battery connections & also at both sides of the fuse with a multimeter, I also pressed the reset button several times, all to no avail, after an hour I gave up.
Then, I set it up to take the photo (attached) and at the end of the day I was about to bin it but tried it one last time & the bloody thing worked!
Imagine if your on the side of a country road & this st>pid thing doesn't work, for hours on end!
So it's still has to be replaced as it has proven to be unreliable when needed.
Used once. Now not inflating tyres after purchase of replacement hose? Never again. Show details
Used for light work and compressor has disconnected from the motor?? Never XTM again Show details
Overheats – Bought it and only after 5 uses it over heats after 5 seconds of use. Will never purchase again Show details
Took it back - DONT BUY – Purchased this compressor to use when we go trekking in the 4x4 or down the beach etc. Father in laws showroom commodore had a low tyre so we thought we'd give it a whirl. Didn't pump it up and overheated within a minute. Had to drive it down the shed to get the big girl to pump it up. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Show details
Overheating – Used 3 times. Everytime is going for just a minute it gets so hot the connections I cant unplug it. Dodgy Show details
Rubbish – Power lead just about melted on first use Inline 50amp fuse melts the holder And thats after only 2 tyres pumped up Show details
overheating – dont buy one of these if you need a reliable compressor you get what you pay for ....its left me stuck in the middle of bumfuk as it crap itself after the 5th time used to pump up 4x4 ute tyres ... piece of crap Show details
A cool compressor, however – The compressor seems to be a good item. No problems as yet but only had it a short time with only little use. The problem is the carry bag that the compressor is supplied in being made of too thin material to carry the weight of the compressor as the bag handles are tearing out of the sides of the bag at the stitching points. Poor workmanship – Only used 4 times and the fuse blew I pulled it apart and it looks like the rotor insulation was not secure and it worked it’s way out and jammed the armature Show details
Pretty useless – compressor is good. Set up bad. Can only get guage reading when compressor off. Guage inaccurate compared to 3 other guages being used to check. Ok for footballs but I the outback not so good. Cables also quite hot. Used on a ranger wildtrak towing a 3 ton van. Show details
Pumps incredibly fast and pretty quietly – XTM Air Compressor 160LPM 150PSI I purchased one of these from BCF Tweed yesterday, Sunday 18.08.2019, price at $99.99 is good and I'm really impressed with the performance. Pumped my Pajero tyres from 25 psi to 40 psi in about 30 to 40 seconds. I purchased it to save the hassle involved in trying to do my caravan at servos where getting the van… Read more
close to the air station is usually difficult and requires a lot of moving the van this way and that to get the job done. Tyres on my van are big off road ones and the xtm had no difficulty doing the job and the 8 meter air hose allowed me to do the whole job easily. What could be better? Perhaps a zippered pocket in the bag for accessories! I have read other reviews with negative comments on the gauge but I found it ok but I have another gauge to check it with.
