  Kitpac Large V2

Great table but didn’t last long – We purchased this table in September 2022 from BCFto kit out our new caravan in preparation for a big trip. We liked how compact the table was when packed away and that it came in its own bag so that we could protect it and keep everything neat and tidy in the tunnel boot of the van. It was one of the lightest weight tables on the market which is important when travelling.

We were also impressed with the sturdiness of that table and the ability to adjust the leg height individually if we were on uneven ground. And the bottle opener under the table is gold! The worst part of that is remembering which end it’s under.

So initially we were very pleased with our purchase however the table simply hasn’t been durable. We used it only 3 or 4 times prior to us leaving home to travel full time in August 2023. The table has been used at each camp but is always under the awning, wiped down each night and when travelling is kept in its bag. We noticed initially that the spring clips that enable the legs to be adjusted in height had corroded and were a bit hard to use, then some of the screws or rivets had rusted. The stain started to lift off the table surface until now it is almost bare - black mould appears to have now gotten into the timber on the edges. The end board has now warped as it’s not protected from the weather.

The bag I must say is very good quality and fits the table easily with a good quality zipper.

Zempire were prompt when I contacted them and suggested I take it back to BCF for exchange. Unfortunately I’m concerned the same will happen again but I will do this.

I’m afraid that despite our initial delight with the table it hasn’t held up to the type of use it is designed for.

Purchased in at BCF Physical Store for $179.99.

A great table – As campers we have moved on from the alloy collapsable all in one table/4chair thing. Great with young kids... but now teens its was too small and we needed a table. I purchased the Zempire Kitpac V2 Large. I hate plastic waste, so am very resistant to buying cheap and nasty. I hate going to caravan parks and seeing the bins FULL of cheap nasty camp furniture (not mention... shelters) thats broken after a few uses. Yes the zempire stuff is expensive, yes.... a lot more expensive than plastic crap, but, you get what you pay for. The bamboo top is good, resistant to staining (red wine from night before wipes off), alluminium legs are very good quality and the folding mechanisms tight with no slop or play when unfolded. YES... it will be a tiny bit wobbly.... its FOLD UP TABLE!! When I say wobbly though, it's not like every dink on the table goes flying after a slight knock. It is quite study and on a level ground it's pretty much perfect. Overall, quality product worth the money. A high price but looks like it will last forever with normal use. When it does (if ever) fail, the wood goes in the bin and the aluminium goes to recycling.... no major plastic waste. Folds up nicely, a tad on the heavy side but the thats probably what makes it sturdy Very happy with purchase.

Purchased in at Macpac Physical store for $200.

Great design, shoddy build quality or quality control – I previous had a V1 which was returned with the bamboo chipped off from factory. Now this V2 isn’t flat and dents on all the legs from the factory. I really love the design of this table but really frustrated with the QC/poor build quality from Zempire. I have bought a lot of other zempire gear and have been really happy but have had a bad run with these tables.

Purchased in at zempire for $180.

Works Well, Stows Away Small but it is Wobbly and Vastly Overpriced – I was looking for a camping table that didn't just fold in half because they are both slippery and they move around when stowed on their sides. Not wanting to wear a folded table when braking I sought an alternative that folded up smaller and found a solution in the Zempire Large Table version2. The table is easy to build and pack away again and it folds down into a small longer carrying case. The top is made of Bamboo so it is a good surface and not as slippery as plastic. The legs are adjustable and the feet can be adjusted for uneven surfaces.

Downsides - It is costly at $170 and is in my opinion around $100 too expensive. Also, when the table is erected, it isn't what you would call stable as it wobbles around a fair bit.

Overall - It is a nice table and it folds down into a very manageable bag which is much easier to stow away but, even though it is well-made, it is way too overpriced for what it is.

Good Table Packs up Small but Wobbly and Very Expensive – This table like its big brother is wobbly when erected but its saving grace is that it packs up tiny. It is definitely well-made and easy to erect but again it is seriously overpriced at $130 which is about $80 too much. Its downsides are that it is quite wobbly when erected and expensive for a bamboo table. Good sides are the size when packed makes it easy to stow away.
