Nice to drive car with ongoing fan issue – I have had this car 12 m. The car is used on some short commutes but also long weekend drives. The car is currently with Audi again who claim they cannot find the fault yet I have video evidence. Guess Audi plus warranty is a useless piece of paper Show details
Almost perfect – I came from a BMW 4 series and saw this is a downgrade coming from a six cylinder to a four-cylinder. Yes certainly from an engine perspective it is not as good. With that being said the four-cylinder is very smooth and quiet. What I love most of all though is the ride comfort and the quietness, so much better overall than the BMW particularly on… Read more
coarse chip roads ie much of our motorways and country roads. Also the interior feels more plush, with higher grade Nappa leather and no surface feels cheap which you can’t say about the BMW. I actually think that BMW is probably built better structure wise because I never had a rattle in that car and I do get the occasional rattle in the Audi over really poor broken pavement, but it’s not enough to spoil the experience. I really like the A4, if you want a car to do its job day in day out and you don’t have to think about anything, this is a great car. I also have the B&O sound system and would highly recommend it. Oh, one final thing, the satellite navigation with Google Maps is absolutely stunning visually, impresses everyone that rides in the car, and is much more sophisticated than the BMW maps. I wouldn’t mind owning another BMW but can’t get over how poor the run flat tyres are on coarse chip roads. The seat comfort in the A4 is also better than the BMW, however the BMW does have a better driving position especially for tall drivers.
Sell your Audi before your warranty expires – This is more of a reflection of Audi Australia and Audi Centre Perth. Whilst on holiday in the south west, the transmission began stuttering when overtaking, during kickdowns and then in general driving. (only 61,000km and 10 months out of warranty) On my return, took the car to ACP, they advise the mechatronic unit needs replacing at a cost of… Read more
$10.600.00! As expected, ACP was not at all interested in finding a solution other than pay the stupid amount of money and we'll fix it idea. So they palm me off to Audi Australia.
If there are ever a bigger bunch of flogs, the personnel at Audi HQ are it. I've heard from previous owners that they are bad, but damn, do they excel at it.
If my car had 150000 plus km's, I would expect a DSG to become a bit tired and worn out, however at now 64,000km, my expectations are that in a 60k vehicle, the transmission should last a bit longer.
The car has been serviced by AUDI 3 times, Melbourne dealership twice, Perth once (15/30/45km services) and during the 15k services i took the car to my euro expert mechanic to change the oil at more frequent intervals.
I also took the car to him for the major 60k service, which included the DSG service, as he was about $900 cheaper than Audi and he used all Audi spec parts and lubricants.
Now, dealing with Audi HQ is a non existent experience. They always answer the calls, but their answers are always the same "we'll get back to you, provide the service invoices, your case has been escalated, I'm sorry to hear about your experience". The truth is, they do not give a stuff about you or the car once the warranty has expired and treat you with absolute contempt and they NEVER call back. It has now been 6 weeks and there has not been a solution offered. They need to fix and pay for it, it's as simple as that.
We all know the VW group is one of the largest auto makers in the world, so they're not short of euros. They were also happy to continue selling cars during the diesel scandal and the public, stupidly continued to buy them.
Any future Audi buyers, BEWARE! If you must buy this Volkswagen with lipstick, pay the lowest price you can and sell, sell, sell before the warranty expires.
OMG. What a rubbish car – OMG. What a rubbish car. Not even 3 years old and constant service visits. Done only 40.000 km. Coolant hose leaking. Water pump required to be replaced. And now transmission is leaking they have to pul out the transmission to fix it. Shame on you AUDI. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM A $85.000 CAR. Show details
This is the shitiest car I have ever owned – I have owned this car for a couple of months and I am now thinking of selling it. The first issue that I had was that the cable that is supposed to move the seat forward and backward snapped. Who would have tought that this can happen to a car and especially to a premium brand that Audi wants to be? The second issue I am having are the rattles… Read more
everywhere in the car. They are completely driving me crazy. It’s just unacceptable for a premium car to have so many rattles. The MMI system stops working out of no reason (LTE looses connectivity, navigation stops working, radio craps down...) Overall avoid this crap of a car!
Mixed feeling about the car – I bought my 2016 A4 brand new from Audi Springwood ( Brisbane) with pretty much all option boxes ticked.( apart from auto parking and Metrex headlight) First year of ownership was nightmare after nightmare. They attempted 3 times trying to fix the same problems ( aircon). Couldn't fixed it over a 3 months period. Finally I managed to get a… Read more
replace at the end of 2016...same problem on the brand new replacement car. Finally in late Jan in 2017...they said Germany found the issue...was a software issue and problem fixed. Since then, so far no problems, however, I do notice some usage of coolant and engine oil. Both Gold Coast and Spring Audi are lovely to deal with, however, "Audi Australia" avoid at all costs.
Audi Brisbane Centre - Outstanding Service – I recently purchased an Audi A4 and given I live in Cairns, North Queensland, I was buying the car "sight unseen." Yes, at times, I was a little bit nervous. The end result? I could not be more impressed with the outcome. Joe Azzopardi was the easiest, friendliest and most professional car salesman I have ever dealt with. On the one occasion Joe… Read more
was in a meeting, Joel was there to pick up the slack and send me (upon request) interior pictures to give me a better insight of the car I was purchasing. They were always reassuring me, genuinely, that it was the "real deal." And it was!
Nothing was ever a problem. There's a degree of risk when you are buying a car from another town, and all I can say, (especially once my car was delivered!) is the whole experience, exceeded my expectations. The car is absolutely gorgeous. Outstanding service. Thank you so much!
Would never buy another VAG car – While this car has amazing looks & is beautifully appointed, electronically & mechanically it is an absolute disappointment. Electronic Issues; Rear cross traffic alert constantly false activated & would violently apply brakes, radio would not start on previous channel, frequent false steering alerts, lane assist needs serious work, active cruise… Read more
control quite painful, emergency braking honestly quite terrifying, a lot of rattles, Bang & Olufsen pretty disappointing. Mechanical issues; Had 3 different coolant leaks, cracked ignition housing, failed rear spring, front passenger door didn’t seal properly. Audi Brighton are extremely untrustworthy, tried to tell me I needed new brake pads at 15K service. Fuel economy nowhere near what Audi advertise. Tried to complain about service, got zero response. Owned from new, 62,000KM sold before the 3 year warranty expired. Car used for a lot of long journeys as well as day to day city driving.
My First And Last AUDI for sure. Audi has tried to fix the transmission leak 7 times in 2 yrs and its still leaking – In 2017 I bought a demo Audi A4 from Audi Zetland (NSW) with 2000kms on the clock. When I took it to get it’s first service I was told there was a Transmission leak! Apparently quite common so be AWARE. After taking the car to 2 different Audi service centres and them attempting to fix it on 7 separate occasions - the car is still leaking!!… Read more
Nearly 2 yrs after purchase!!
Audi head office have poor customer service - they don’t reply or acknowledge emails or return phone calls - very poor experience indeed.
They are quick to sell you a car - however once they realease the car they provide no after care.
Pls look up Audi transmission leaks online before purchasing your Audi.
Good Car – A4 is a stylish, practice, powerful yet economical vehicle. Handles very well. Disappointed in the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system thou, too many rattles and bass is terrible. Also don’t get the seat trim inserts with Alcantara cloth find them uncomfortable and difficult to adjust your seating position, seats bit too narrow also. Show details
A quantum leap from my last car – I needed a new, or nearly new station wagon after my Skoda Superb was killed by lightning! I saw this fully specced A4 quattro S Line that HAD to be sold. Irrespective of price the car is without doubt one of the safest vehicles on the road (a priority for me). Beautiful supple leather everywhere. Ability to tow a single motorcycle trailer a… Read more
necessity. Seats that are comfortable after 8 hours driving. Head up display is great as is the active cruise control and semi-autonomous driving (lane keeping, speed, overtaking warning etc.). I use this as my daily driver and have driven to Gippsland and Sunshine coast from The Illawarra. Excellent fuel consumption (ave. 7.8l/100km), lots of room (but not as much as the Skoda), enough power to lose your licence and an infotainment unit that does the lot. After over three years now it is still an excellent, trouble free car.
Car has ever think you need and heaps of safety gear. Great to drive and a beautifully finished car – Car is used for general duties ,shopping, appointments and going on holidays. The car is driven everyday and is serviced every 15000 KL at the local Audi dealer . Have had no problems with the car, would recommend to anyone. If driven responsibility you get very good fuel economy. It is a very easy car to drive. Show details
Love the car! – I bought the car as a dealer demo with around 5000 kms on it, and it was one of the best car I've ever had for 3 reasons. 1, the car drives beautifully; 2. the new interior of Audi beats any of the other competitors; 3. I love the subtleness of the car but also the luxury that comes with it. Overall, I am a very happy customer. Show details

Great car! – Bought one that had 20 000 km on it a few months ago. Has been great to drive. Suspension is OK but not great. I would prefer if the car was lower to the ground. Interior is nice and as expected but MMI system still needs to be updated as they are lagging behind other car companies. On 98 Octane, driving a manual, the car costs approximately $80/week for fuel on a relatively high usage rate. Show details
All New Stylish Audi A4 – 1) The driving experience is amazing specially the control. 2) Loved the interior especially the fact that you get Google Maps with Street View embedded into the satellite navigation system is a welcome touch, as is the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. Meanwhile, the ambient lighting in the doors, across the fascia and even in the… Read more
cup-holders makes the cabin a proper event come nightfall.
3) Reliable vehicle but running cost is what you can expect from Audi.
LOVE IT – I just totally love this car, the exterior, comfort level, the engine.................Besides their finance and dealership (particular one)...it was ALL GOOD....I should have purchase in City where I have my service done, they are efficient helpful and very nice!!! Next one I might go for A5....or BMW for a few years...then back to A4 or A5......so that I wont get bored with it!!!! Show details
Bland & uninspiring at best – Hired one for 10 days during holiday time. No hassles, transported us around ok. Power was disappointing. Being a turbo, you'd expect a bit of punch, however the power delivery was soft & felt like there was no turbo under the bonnet. By comparison, a BMW turbo lurches off & charges ahead like a bull with a sting in it's backside. … Read more
Instrument cluster is busy, distracting & some gauges/instruments were totally unnecessary. Important are speed, revs, fuel, temp. Important also is the layout so they can be quickly scanned & then eyes returned to the road. Can you do that in the Audi... Um... NO. There is no "white space" balance in the layout of the dashboard. Distracting. Sorry to say... check out other cars, such as BMW, where the driver can in a short scan identify which gauge to focus on & get the value of that parameter.
Audi seem to be trying too hard... cramming in more "stuff"... For example there are lights above the door handle, lights in the door trim, lights around the centre console drink holder (I'm not kidding). Looks like they thought... where else can we add more lights to make this a better car. The lights are distracting in country driving when you want the cockpit dark & they are also somewhat distracting in city driving (yes you can navigate the instrument menu & get to the function to turn them off).
Overall an ok car, much like a VW, or any Mazda or Camry. Nothing special.
Very Good, but not perfect – Purchased my A4 as a 2 month old dealer demo with 2000km on the clock. The car has many great features such as the engine/gearbox combination which gives excellent performance and outstanding economy. I live in the country and have averaged 6.4l/100km over 9000 km's!!! Generally the car is of excellent quality, though mine has a rattle in the… Read more
headlining which I will get fixed at the 15000km service. Many nice features including 3 zone aircon, virtual cockpit display, lane assist, etc all result in a very comfortable, relaxing and safe cruiser. The s-tronic auto is a little hesitant at slow speeds, but once underway it performs beautifully, with super fast manual paddle shift gear changes being possible as well as normal auto mode. The multimedia system is easy to use, easily paring mobile phones etc. The storage jukebox is great and easy to load with your favorite music. The sat-nav also works very well and is easy to use.
A couple of simple design floors let the car down and thus my good rating only: A drivers foot rest that is set too far back, a crazy storage bin lid between the front seats that does not hide everything in the storage area, and also its lid that unless you lift it completely up, refuses to close!!! Also there are some bad dashboard reflections at particular times of the day.
Otherwise, my Audi experience has been an enjoyable one!!
Audi A4 2016 Quattro – I bought an A4 three years ago (see my other review), upgrade to this one for more gadgets which I missed out this time. It is fully options with virtual cockpit and adaptive cruise control, the two main reason for the upgrade. Of course I enjoyed those pretty much, BUT what's more? A power engine so quick, responsive and SMOOTH. The cabin is… Read more
QUIET. Driving this A4 from speedy highway to stuffed traffic it is an enjoyable experience. I cannot believe this car is such a huge improvement from the last version. Indeed it does not feel like a car, more like a spaceship!
