Truly Disappointed – Once again the continuous water alarms rings and the clothes are nowhere near dry. I had All General Whitegoods come out - call out fee $100, the heating element needs to be replaced $350, order part then comes out with another call out fee $100. All worked well for a year and now we have the same error happening again. Even though this product… Read more
was super expensive compared to other dryers, I was happy to pay it for the expected results. However, I feel like most, that I have a lemon.
I looked into buying a newer model, hoping that it will solve my issue, but WOW hasn't the price gone up!
Disappointed!
ALWAYS BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY!! – Purchased May 2012. Started having issues late 2013 - water tray icon flashing every ten mins, even when tray was empty. Bosch fixed it under manufacturer warranty. Problem came back in 2015, lived with it for about 8 mths over summer, but got to winter 2016 and had to have it fixed again as it drove me mad. Was well out of manufacturer… Read more
warranty but under extended warranty.
Bosch fixed it again.
Got to early 2018, my extended warranty had expired and the issue returned. I called Bosch and they have done the honourable and amazing thing and offered me a full refund of my purchase price - $2044 (after first offering me a replacement).
Bosch refunded the purchase as they said the problem I had was recurrent from when it was in Manufacturer warranty. I wonder, if I didn't have the extended warranty would they have still refunded it though after six years and three repairs..?
I have just purchased a new Bosch Heat Pump WTW87565AU, well reviewed, well rated by Choice. I also purchased three yr extended warranty. I'm giving Bosch another chance as they have such solid brand loyalty, fingers crossed!
Expensive machine that doesn’t dry clothes properly – This machine had a RRP in excess of $2,600 when I purchased it just over 5 years ago. It never completely dried the clothes even on the Cottons Extra Dry program. I always had to finish each load off with a 20 minute warm program or run the risk of damp clothes going mouldy in the cupboard. And now, just like the other reviews, my machine has… Read more
started to stop after a short time into a program with the water tank symbol error and wet clothes. To make matters worse, I phoned Bosch to get the machine fixed and was told that the first available technician can call in 11 days time! 11 days without a tumble dryer. Bosch never again!
Disappointed with Bosch Eco Logi XX Cloths Dryer – we are having exactly the same problem with the dryer only going for tops 10 minutes the water tank symbol appears and it stops , if we reset the control knob back to off then reset program it will go for another 10 minutes , machine service 2 days ago and problem started again with the next full load , at 80.00 per hour it is a rip off , if it… Read more

A Lemon – Our Bosch condenser dryer (Bosch WTW86561AU) is awful. It needs a service every year or so to clean an internal lint filter that can't be accessed without a lot of hassle (even for an accredited repairer). The dryer provides no notice that this is about to clog up and will suddenly start displaying the "full" symbol for the water container every… Read more
few minutes. This nearly always happens on a rainy day when there aren't too many other drying options. We have been very disappointed, particularly given that this is considered a top of the range model. Over the last 5 years it has been repaired about 5 times. The last service a few weeks ago was over $200 (the most expensive yet) and we are just wondering now how long to keep it for.
Update: Sorry I missed a couple of questions from a couple of people about the dryer. I don’t have any answers. In the end I got so tired of spending money on our Bosch washing machine and dryer we sadly sent them to landfill (I couldn’t inflict that pain on anyone else). We are now very happy with our AEG machines.

Expensive lesson – My Bosch heat pump cloth dryer is terrific when it feels like doing some work . This is between work shop visits lets say every 3 to 6 months. Opps that reminds me ...it's time to sell my expensive Bosch and get a Miele . Disappointing after being a Bosch customer for many years.

Overpromised And Undelivered – I am writing in the hope of resolving a problem we have with our Bosch Heat Pump dryer. Some information after searching online for troubleshooting this issue and was surprised and disheartened to read the number of issues people have raised with this model. I am in agreement with the general consensus that given the initial cost of these items we… Read more
certainly don't expect such annoying and widespread failures so early in the life of our machine. In saying that we are loyal Bosch customers and currently have Bosch for all of our major appliances (washing machine, heat pump dryer, dishwasher and ceramic cook top) and they are all made in Germany so they are all top of your range.
We have been having an issue with our dryer door for a number of weeks. The issue appears to be related and something to do with how the door is sealing. It closes tightly and the catch seems to lock in correctly but when you press the start button it beeps several times in a row and won't start. It appears that the machine isn't happy with the seal of the door and won't begin a cycle. It will start if the door is gently pushed forward to increase the seal but stops when this is released. There appears to be no damage to the rubber seal. The handle to the door is all intact but there is a slight wobble in the latch part of the door. As far as my husband and I know, this has always been present. We have no recollection of it being any different.
I look forward to a resolution to this problem as we rely on this machine to keep our home functioning. I have lost partial use of my hand in a motor vehicle accident and can no longer hang out washing. I rely on the dryer to keep up with my families needs.
Sincerely,
Marilyn

Broke down 3 times after 2 years of use – An expensive lesson learnt after spending $2000+ on a dryer that dies after 2 years. The heat pump stopped working at around two years after my purchase of this dryer, bosch has responded in time, and after a week or two of wait the technician came out to replace the heat pump. The first time it happened just after my son was born (in… Read more
winter), you can just imagine the pain of not being able to dry clothes in time.
Then the same issue (heat pump stopping working) again 6 months later.
Now it stopped working again in the middle of winter, I am very sick of this now, each time I have to take time off work for the repair, and also there is no guarantee it won't happen again. ( i was told that my warranty has expired with bosch, even though I bought extended 3 year warranty ).
Very disappointed to see that this is a obvious a known issue (seeing so many people posting the same problem with their WTW86561AU), but no recall or prompt replacement offered to customers.
Overall, when it works, it works well, but breaking down 3 times within a year???? not a sign of reliable machine!

Just died – Problems with the condenser showing full even when not persisted for 6 months or so until the service man told us that this was due to the formation of bubbles and that the 'solution' was to put some clean water into the dryer regularly. Not surprisingly this was rather annoying, but not as annoying as getting back to find that the washing was not… Read more
dry because the dryer had stopped.
After 3 years nasty smell and it stopped working, service man said belt gone, and a bearing, not willing to part with $450 to keep the lemon going - Bye bye Bosch.

Still Moist! – Got a new Bosch Anantixx 8Kg dryer but despite trying different programs, the clothes are not quite dry when the dryer finishes. Any tips?

So far, so good after 5 months. Highly recommended – We've only had this dryer for 5 months and it has completely changed our laundry situation at home. We live in the hills where it often rains (even on a sunny summer's afternoon at times) so it was important for us to have a dryer for our clothes and the sheets and towels for our bed and breakfast business. We use this dryer between 2 to 4 times… Read more · 2
a day and we are very impressed with it so far. During busy periods, the dryer can be on for the whole day but it just gets through load after load without any fuss. Considering how much we use it, our electricity bill has only increased by 20% - it's a small price to pay considering the convenience and efficiency that this dryer provides without any issues so far. Also, it doesn't steam up the laundry too much with only a small window left open.
The only down side is that it constantly beeps at the end of a cycle which means that we can't put a load in to dry overnight and leave it until the next morning. However, this is a small price to pay and we just make sure to time a load so that it finishes and we can turn it off before we go to sleep.
The user manual has endless tips on how to avoid electrocution but doesn't provide much information on the type of drying cycles on offer. This was not an issue for us as most of our laundry is pure cotton so we use the same drying cycle.
We purchased it from Clifton's Appliance Warehouse. We got a great deal and it was promptly delivered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED dryer. It just does what it's supposed to do - sounds simple enough but most other appliance companies out there no longer seem to care about functionality.
2 Years of Pain – I have the same issues as Ridgeview. The Dryer displays condenser tray needs to be emptied. Runs for 10 minutes then skips to the end of the program and displays container full alarm. Have had the service guys out many times to fix it as well as the 6+ months waiting on Parts with no offer of a replacement dryer. 2 baby's rack up a lot of washing… Read more
to be done. I am now out of warranty but the service center will repair it under the parts warranty after I stood my ground. This is a total dud. I'm just about ready to dump it, but what to buy? Large porthole, no foggy windows in your house, Dryes cloths well when its working. Totally unreliable with little support from Bosh.

Have had for 3 years now, has worked perfectly – With three children this gets heavy use every winter (10+ loads/week). We use it during night/weekend when power only costs 10c kw/h and thus combined with energy efficiency a month of drying clothes costs less than $8 (and this energy is converted into waste heat that contributes to heating up inside). Dries clothes extremely well, although a… Read more · 1
full load of towels can take 2 1/2 hours which isn't a problem as often done overnight. Energy efficiency, no require to vent, large capacity Large initial cost

Excellent – Amazing dryer. I use it every day for every load and our electricity bill hasn't even gone up! We use the water we collect on our garden which makes it even more environmentally friendly. I also love how it doesn't get all steamy and hot when you are using it. Everything, its amazing. The only think I don't like is the programing. The only one I've found to work the best is the sports clothes program, go figure!
Overpriced - Underengineered – Despite numerous attempts to get Bosch Home Appliances (Australia) to respond to my email, and even their own online contact form (call centre phone is useless due to excessive delays in getting through), I have no satisfaction with this product or Bosch after-sales service. This is a 'cut-paste' of my recent emails to them.... I have a 15 month… Read more
old heat pump dryer that is again faulty. I am already awaiting a repair of constant stopping and alerts due to the condensation water container being full (even when it is almost empty), previously we had the plastic door handle replaced when it broke through its mounting posts, and now as I frequently empty the tiny amount of water from the condensation container, I notice the plastic components holding the container together are cracking through. Please arrange for this problem to be added to the local service agent's list. And please do what you can to hurry the whole process up - I am virtually a prisoner to this dryer - having to empty the water container every 10 minutes in order to get the thing through all the false alarms.
I also request you to escalate this message to your commercial management with the note that I chose this product over a Miele heat pump dryer and am now very, very sorry that I did. When working, the dryer performance is adequate - considering the less energy used. Overall production quality is poor - particularly bad design of load points where plastic joins metal

Very efficient dryer – A 6 star Energy Rated dryer! 128kWh per year. Well built front loading 6.5kg unit is reliable. Collects the water from wet loads it drys to circulate through its internal mechanism to remove fine lint and particles. Replace water tank and finish the cycle off. Very energy efficient, quality unit, reliable, versatile, great moisture sensor. Display works with a lot of symbols. A bit of a learning curve to comprehend at first.
Excellent Dryer – This is a great dryer. It replaced a 15 year old Bosch condensor dryer we had and is a lot quieter and drys faster. It is very easy to use with lots of options and has they timer delay which we will use. I also like the light function I didn't think this would really be needed but has worked out great. I have found Bosch products ver reliable… Read more
Being energy efficient Our old model allowed the water to be plumbed out this model only allows it to be collected and manually emptied.
Recommended – I have had a dryer all my life. So when I started to review dryers recently and I decided to go energy efficient as we use one everday and sometimes more. Dryer is easy to use and dries clothes perfectly. Expensive to purchase, however I am hoping the machine will last me 15+ years to recover the cost. Cheap to run per load. Average load has… Read more
taken me 90minutes. Lots of functions. Easy to clean. No need to clean the consendor - it does it automatically. I also like that it has a light inside to be able to see. Now hoping to buy a Bosch washer to match when my top loader fails. Energy Efficent - as I use a dryer everday None - other than price
