Best Falken 4WD Tyres
Falken WildPeak AT3W
I've been running these tyres for a little over 3 years now on my six wheeler and have nothing but praise for them. I find them great in the wet… Read more
(maybe the 3.8 tonnes helps) and the dry. Off road they are amazing in the sand and rough dirt roads and tracks. I don't do rock crawling so i cannot comment on that with the exception that aren't aggressive mud tyres! They're pretty quiet for an All terrain and are coming up to 40K and are about half worn, so if I can get 70K out of them I'll be extremely happy.
Falken Ziex CT60
Excellent tyres – These tyres are incredible value. My Peugeot 5008 had Kumho tyres when I bought it second hand and they lasted a couple of years and needed to be… Read more
replaced. I opted for the Falken CT60 tyres as they were half the price and had great reviews.
They have been a revelation. The car is twice as good to drive now, handling is excellent on wet and dry roads, the noise level is the lowest I've ever had, and to my surprise, the operation of the front brakes is much better. The front brakes tended to have a clunking sound when stopping with the Kumho's and now that has disappeared.
To add to all of this, the CT60s were half the price of the tyres typically recommended by the dealers. Excellent value all round.
Falken WildPeak H/T
Falken WildPeak H/T - cheap, long wearing but at the expense of safety – My experience with Falken WildPeak HT’s has been bad. Tyres weren’t even 5 years old… they were cheap ($676)/, but had poor dry grip; VERY poor wet… Read more
grip, very loud, but got excellent mileage (70,000km and still 30% tread left) but they weee skating all over the place. It got so bad that we decided to replace them…. With Michelin Primacy 4 ST. The Michelins are VERY grippy, VERY quiet and VERY comfortable. In my experience, the Michelin’s are a vastly superior tyre.
