children's material. We mostly used it for our daughter from 3-8 months so she could watch DVDs/tv while I was cleaning or on the phone. If we were sitting in lounge having coffee she would quite happily sit and talk to us in it. It really doesn't have any entertaining points for baby but makes a great safe comfortable seat. The harness holds baby in safely into the seat unlike some seats (bimbos) where baby can wiggle/twist out The belt stitching started to fray after 4.5 months (we have a heavy baby) but the company happily replaced after I emailed them photos as it was still under warranty.
