yeast best to activate/bloom the yeast first. Also the machine tends to "walk" off the bench if you are not careful to wedge it in place or put it on something non-slip. However after less than 2 years it has stopped working. I've used it off and on over that time - I'd estimate maybe a maximum of 50 loaves - possibly less. So that is about $2/loaf just for the breadmaker. I'd consider buying it again but would do so in full knowledge of not expecting it to last.
