Handz Drill N Screwdriver
Absolute rubbish – It will not charge and I have never been able to charge it up. It is rubbish ! But I guess, you get what you pay for. I would advise anyone thinking of buying one, “don’t”. Show details

A fantastic upgrade to my previous driver – At the time of my review the new 12v version of this model is just came out so it's a bummer. Despite me being upset about the 12v, let's dive into… Read more
the 18v version of the infamous CXS driver range. It is a powerful little gem, I have been working with it since October 2023, using it for various jobs and I am extremely happy with it. It's a replacement for my previous driver (10yo 12v AEG) and yes you can't compare the 2. It's not playing in the same league. I drive metal screws, decking screws, plasterboard screws... You name it I probably use it. I love the centrotec system despite being expensive to add to but it works great and the set I bought had some very useful implements. The right angle has been fantastic and has pull me out of a few tricky spots. The fact is that you can switch from drilling to driving in seconds. I don't need a second drill with me, this is the only one I can have and it won't be an issue. The battery is a 2.5a and it last a whole day of driving screws. The electronic clutch is a hit, I drive consistently the force I need so achieving a consistent depth is easy. The working area has a decent amount of light from the drill and it can stand upright and is very stable.
Would buy it again, yes, I love the power it has and all the extras you can have. Yes it's expensive but it is durable and if I need a more powerful one I do have another drill...

was on. The first one was sent away for repairs and was replaced several weeks latter with a new one. The new drill I bought as a replacement now won't operate in Hammer mode. It has hardly done any work . My old multifunction Makita worked fine for years. Is it just me or is there a fault with these brushless drills.
Ozito PXC 18V Drill Driver Kit PXDDK-250C
I love this drill, I know its not a Dewalt or a Milwaukee but it does the job well and strong, it actually drills well and doesn't get stuck, At… Read more
first, I got frightened when I didn't know it was the brushes that made that little spark, I took it back to Bunnings and they explained it and then I kept it, and its been a great handy little tool that's cheap as chips. The grip on it feels great even though its a DIY tool, Ozito have done a great job designing their tools and boxes, so well done to them.
Great tool – Compact very light weight easy to use plenty of power for general cabinet work a well designed tool.
Great little gadget – Small, convenient and easy to use. Less cumbersome than a full size cordless drill, and heaps less expensive too. Has an extension for bit holder… Read more
for extra tight spaces. Handy light aimed at bit, plus a convenient torch at end of handle. Seems a bit like a toy, but does it all!

items I make from recycled pallets. This kit now comes with one 2.0Ah battery.
As I’m becoming older, I also use the drill and a socket to lower and raise caravan stabiliser legs when travelling. I use the impact driver when doing minor equipment repairs such as loosening tight nuts and bolts.
Although I’m a big believer in the old adage “you get only get what you pay for”, this drill and impact driver set have exceeded my expectations and are quite good for work at the home handyman level. I recommend you also buy a second 4.0Ah battery for convenience.
Makita DF012DSE
Excellent driver/drill for light work – My favourite Makita power tool; handy for small driving/drilling jobs. Good for driving-in Allen head bolts/screws when assembling flat-pack furniture; beats using an Allen key. Do not use for heavy driving/drilling, it’s not made for that.
XU1 XLDDK-180
Highly recommend for handymen. Small but powerful. $78? I think.bought at Bunnings. 18 volt gives better "Oomph".Almost looks like a toy, but it's … Read more
NOT. Lots of functions. Torque, reverse, screwdriver bits, etc, AND a belt clip. Had trouble removing battery & plugging it into charger. Not in instructions, (maybe I'm a bit thick, lol.). Only thing is... light does not show drill bit, or screwdriver. Its angled too far up, base blocks light. BUT well worth the money.
DeWalt DCD996N-XE
Unreliable – Drill came as replacement for stolen older reliable non brushless model. It lasted 6 uses before it stopped working. Made in China this drill model is proving problematic (note many web postings) and parts are very expensive. One to avoid.
Ryobi Bench Drill Press RDP102L

When I do need to use it, I'm impressed with it. Adjusting the speed is pretty simple, the chuck is quick and easy to use and the deck height and position is easy to adjust. I like the 'laser' aiming but it does seem a bit dull in full sunlight.
Overall, 4 Stars
XU1 Cordless Screwdriver XSD-363

Kmart Anko Cordless Rechargeable Screwdriver

thought it was going to be rubbish, hence its price of only 19 bucks, but its actually more expensive looking and feeling for its price, it does a great job screwing into wood and it also comes with screwdriver bits that are actually pretty strong, a downside about this is that the trigger isnt a variable, its full speed or off, which annoys me whn trying to insert screws in different positions which require slow to full speed. Apart from that, good product.
Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP RDD18C

charge and never had the punch to do the job, plus they were all big and bulky to handle. So time for an upgrade. As I have numerous cordless Ryobi garden tools I decided on the small 18v Brushless Ryobi drill/driver. In a nutshell it's compact, well weighted and lightweight, robust and most importantly does not give up. Good high speed for metal and dependable low speed for driving with a selectable clutch.
Keyless chuck is well designed, hand grip is high quality and overall design is top notch. The only improvement I would make is the addition of a bit holder on the base of the drill. Other than that I can't fault the Ryobi drill. It's just a beautiful piece of kit that does the job of larger drills and uses only a small amount of real estate. This tool ranks near the top of my ever growing Ryobi gear.
Rockwell 18V RD2897
Great while it works, but not built to last! – I bought this tool 3 years ago at Mitre 10 and only 1 or 2 months after the warranty expired the drill broke down making it unusable! I would not recommend buying this tool if you want something which lasts.
very poor design and materials and shouldnt be on the shelf – This tool looked the part, and has great branding (why I bought it), but doesn't do the job intended. The driver bits fit into the powerful magnetic… Read more
driver, but way too far, rendering the tool unable to do its only job (turn a screw), and needing a pair of pliers to remove the bit. Another extension piece has so little iron content that it falls out of the magnetic driver head. Again useless! On returning the product staff at the shop could see the problem. Refund granted, and bought another brand that works.
