nasty heating element that makes clicking/popping/banging noises as it heats up and cools down. Funnily enough, Nobo New Zealand actually admits it openly on their page - "be aware some mechanical clicking noises may occur", while Nobo Australia falsely advertises silent operation. If you are looking for a quiet heater, look elsewhere.
