Nobo NTL4S Series

Disappointing – The heater produces heat quite well and the thermostat is great, but it is noisy to the point I just stopped using it. This heater uses cheap and nasty heating element that makes clicking/popping/banging noises as it heats up and cools down. Funnily enough, Nobo New Zealand actually admits it openly on their page - "be aware some mechanical clicking noises may occur", while Nobo Australia falsely advertises silent operation. If you are looking for a quiet heater, look elsewhere.

Perfect for wall mounting, but problems with castors – The Nobo NTL4S24-FS40 electric panel heater (2.4kW, with thermostat and castors) is very stylish, and heats a large area exactly as promised. If you want to mount this heater to a wall, the projecting iron frame will do the job. But if you want a portable heater on castors, I have to say that, judging from my purchase, the castors and mounting brackets are NOT compatible with the main panel, despite assurances to the contrary. The brackets have lugs to push into the back of the panel, and the top lugs are too wide to fit. Apart from widening the slots with a file (not recommended, would void the warranty), apparently the only way of attaching the castor brackets is to drill holes and bolt them onto the wall-mounting frame. An additional problem is that the upper edge of the heater panel then leans forwards. The misalignment appears to be endemic to the castor-bracket assemblies. This misfit is most unfortunate; without it I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this heater.
