The kettle has a cute, rustic look and is made of stainless steel, but there’s a fairly large plastic part inside that holds the mesh near the spout.… Read more

Since it sits in the kettle, it ends up being in contact with the water most of the time. This plastic piece is also attached to the handle and can’t be removed.

I purchased a KitchenAid kettle at a premium price of $239, expecting quality and reliability. Unfortunately, after only two months of use, the… Read more

kettle malfunctioned—an unacceptable outcome for a product positioned as high-end.

What made this experience worse was the returns process. I had to travel to Myer to return the item, only to be told that a replacement could not be provided immediately. Instead, I was informed that I would need to wait approximately two weeks for the item to be assessed before a replacement could be issued. This left me without a working kettle and effectively forced me to consider purchasing a temporary replacement in the meantime.

The irony is hard to ignore: a cheaper kettle from Aldi lasted three years and came with a far smoother return and replacement process. The contrast between KitchenAid’s premium pricing and the level of customer service provided is deeply disappointing.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend this product or the brand. Premium prices should come with premium quality and customer support—unfortunately, that was not the case here.
