A dud. The top has since new has been hard To open and now after being 14 months old it has started to leak somewhere around the element. It was expensive to buy and I thought kitchen aid was a strong brand. Disappointed Show details

I purchased a KitchenAid kettle at a premium price of $239, expecting quality and reliability. Unfortunately, after only two months of use, the kettle malfunctioned—an unacceptable outcome for a product positioned as high-end. What made this experience worse was the returns process. I had to travel to Myer to return the item, only to be told that… Read more

a replacement could not be provided immediately. Instead, I was informed that I would need to wait approximately two weeks for the item to be assessed before a replacement could be issued. This left me without a working kettle and effectively forced me to consider purchasing a temporary replacement in the meantime.

The irony is hard to ignore: a cheaper kettle from Aldi lasted three years and came with a far smoother return and replacement process. The contrast between KitchenAid’s premium pricing and the level of customer service provided is deeply disappointing.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend this product or the brand. Premium prices should come with premium quality and customer support—unfortunately, that was not the case here.

Lid doesn't open. Not sure where it was purchased from (May 25) so don't know how to followup with this issue. Very sad as I do love the look of the kettle. Sadly huge waste of money Show details

Follow-up  · Lid rarely opens, I've given up and just use the spout to put water in. Don't know which retailer it was purchased from. Noise doesn't bother me. Sad really, lovely colours available. I was going to purchase the new green one, as a gift, but will look at other brands for the matching sets

Had this for a few months. Straight away, the pop up lid doesn't pop up ,even when cold, or very rarely and never if the kettle just is even just a bit hot. I like the variable temperature, but the internal thermostat isn't great, especially when reboiling, it will start and stop and start, especially if you are using a lower temperature, even… Read more

when the water has been topped up and swished to make sure it's cooled down enough. You can see how much water is in it and it is light enough to be manageable, but for $190 it's not a good buy, would not buy again.

Be warned! I bought this as part of a set with the toaster. The almond cream looked great on my bench top. But the first one died after one month and was replaced under warranty. The 2nd one died after a year! It's not much use having fancy features like variable temperature and sleek appearance if the kettle doesn't work after a short time! Show details

It worked for six months before dying. KitchenAid replaced it under warranty, but the second one died seven months later. Underwhelming in the extreme. I do not recommend it. Show details

Recently updated our kettle. Yes, this is one item that gets a lot of use. The stylish design is perfect for all kitchens. What also made a difference is the ease of the lid when filling. There is enough room to easily fill the kettle. Our last kettle had a narrower entry not a deal breaker but a wider entry gives you ease of use. This kettle… Read more

comes with adjustable temperature control on the base, has a slider to adjust to your preference. Lights up and comes with a pleasurable chime melody.

Perfect on the hand when lifting, superb spout, yes this can be an issue for some. Water flows smoothly when pouring.

We chose the Cast Iron Black to fit with the kitchen. Also wont colour date. (Also purchased 2 slice toaster - seperate review)

Buyer beware of kettle advertising – It’s only 4 days old. Boils water, not as quiet as I thought. In an open living/kitchen area, I have to increase the sound on the TV. Also there should be better advertising about the “doorbell” sound at the start and finish of the boiling process. The dog goes barking mad thinking it’s someone at the front door. The loudness of the sound is annoying and distracting. Enquired from their Customer Service and was informed it’s a safety issue.
