little noisy in two of them as they heated up. The light globe housing dimension was small & limited the physical size of the globe that could be used. Because of that the light globe & it's output was limited to what size would fit. Having a remote control the installation was straight forward as the fan with the hardware supplied utilised the original light fixture position & wiring. They seemed for the $ to be reasonable value until the next season & the warranty ran out ,two of the three had the remote control modules fail soon after each other. I contacted the supplier but as the warranty was out only offered to sell me a new modules of which I declined. I purchased replacement fan/light combo's with larger light housings and standard wall control switches. I found remote controls useful but if unreliable as mine were rendered the fan useless. Update since writing this review the 3rd fan has now also failed.

noise when it was first used, I complained & was told the noise would stop when it wore in and to run it on full speed for about 4 hours, over time it did quieten down slightly. During the warranty period the fan stopped working, after calling Lightning Empire they sent me a new remote control receiver for the cost of $10 postage but no install reimbursement costs. The fan worked OK for a year or so but now speeds 2 & 3 don't work The seller tells me that it needs a new capacitator. They do not stock them and can't get me one. They said the whole fan needs to be replaced.
